First time I tried to play it, I had it without perma-death, and I was still struggling to get into it. I gave it another go last night, and it just didn't take. I gave it a few hours, I'm happy to leave it behind now.

Fire Emblem Awakening Its my second attempt at getting into this game, and whilst it's got the makings of a very good game, I just can't 'find the time' to play it. I wonder if that means I've subconsciously decided I don't like it or not. I've already lost a few guys, and I'm not all that far into the game. I'm enjoying the battles, but they're certainly not the prettiest things you'll see, not even for a 3DS title. If the games cutscenes were all as beautiful as some of the hand drawn art they sometimes throw at you, I'd probably be more eager to play this game, they're that good; unfortunately they're not. I'll see if I can give the game another hour or two this evening, but in all honesty I think its destined for a trade in.

Last two AAA games I started both failed to grab me. I'm not sure what's wrong. Real world worries apparently turn me off gaming, rather than push me into it.

You're probably just sick of AAA games. Whenever that happens to me, I pick some weird indie game at random in my Steam library and play that. Thanks to indie bundles, I'm never in danger of running out of those...
Anyway, my advice is try to play something a bit out of your comfort zone.

If you're like me in that you seem to change wallpapers every few days, I can't recommend Muzei enough. It'll pull down wallpapers from various sources, and with the addition of MultiMuze, allow the app to change the wallpaper itself after a predetermined amount of time. It's free also.

As a fan of the books, I'm not too pleased about it, but there's no way we'll be able to avoid show (and thus), book spoilers. Not with the popularity of the show as it is currently anyway. -
Same with me. I figure I might throe £5 the way of the developer for making such an awesome game, that way I don't have to feel dirty about spending money for goodies..

Ratatouille - Another under appreciated PIXAR gem, and arguably one of my favourite animations of all time. Lovely little story, some of PIXAR's best animation to date and a gorgeous score. Mud - Tight little coming of age story. Takes a while to get going (when don't they), but after the initial 20 minutes, it kept me entertained right to the end. Some fantastic shots too.

I actually gave up this morning. It took 3-4 minutes for a status update comment to go through. Same in the afternoon, it's working fine now however.

Gravity Second viewing for me; still retains much of what made it such an experience in the theatre. Looks and sounds incredible (curtains closed, lights off), Bullock and Clooney are great, Drama is still gripping and tense. I just wish I cared about the characters a little more. Same complaint as last time though, so I'm considering that a success. For me at least, Gravity holds up to a repeat viewing in your own home.

I'm finding the basic of of traversal to be pretty boring. I've put a solid 7 hours in at this point, and whilst I don't dislike the game, I can see why people have been giving it a hard time. I'm struggling to decide if its a poorly made game, or a game that needed more time for polish.

Steam appears to have dumped 50+ games in my library. I don't own any of them but they're there...Any ideas?

Spoke to Steam, they've told me to remove myself from the Beta program. Although the games are no longer in my library. So yeah.

Papo & Yo Urgh this game. Maybe it was because I played it to completion in one sitting, but fuck this game pissed me off. I was actually delighted to have it finished and off my to-do list. There's a nice story in here; but its message is totally muted by the frustrating mechanics and bland platforming. Even the puzzle's aren't all that interesting. Shadow Warrior 2013's Bulletstorm? With swords and shit. Trine Didn't seem as long as its sequel, but I still had a good time. That being said, if they lost some of the combat, I wouldn't be disappointed.

Red Dead Redemption Mass Effect Probably the first 360 game I bought after I 'returned to gaming', whilst I don't think its as good a game as ME2, it had much more fun with it. The Witcher 2 Loved this game, so much that I've played it through to completion twice inside 15 months. Can't wait for the 3rd game in the series, and I'm waiting on the rest of the books to receive a translation. A good one preferably. -
Hearthstone. I originally played it a few months back during the Beta roll-out, and whilst I did have fun I found myself not wanting to start it up again. Card games aren't usually my thing, but this is super easy to get into, doesn't seem to require me to spend months constructing the perfect deck, and the games aren't too long. I think that ultimately, i'll spend most of my time playing the iPad version when it finally becomes available, but for now I'm officially on the Hearthstone train.
