  1. How long/what difficulty? I think it took about 9 hours on whatever the hardest you can play from the beginning is. Obviously I died a lot. Played it on Normal. Probably took me a little over 5 hours. Playing on Hard sound utterly soul crushing.
  2. To those interested; Amazon.co.uk is now offering downloadable games much in the same way they do with Amazon.com. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.html/ref=bt_atcg_mine_cta?docId=1000738123&ie=UTF8&plgroup=1&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1EQQJGTKZXA1S51DGPAE&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=419145787&pf_rd_i=2683271031
  3. I'm not a Dr Who fan, but i'm really pleased to see that they went with Capaldi. I'm also enjoying all the 13 year old girls on Tumblr moaning about the fact that he's not a 25 year old pretty boy.
  4. I say give it a go. I've not seen Juno, but i hear a lot of people got put off by the writing for that film. I don't think this film suffers from the same hang ups. I certainly don't think its hilarious, but its certainly interested and the cast all give great performances. The ending leaves you asking questions, and its got a really nice overall presentation. --- Not Suitable for Children. This is a film i truly knew nothing about, and once again it surprised me. I went in expecting another shitty comedy along the lines of 'Knocked up' (or 100 other Paul Rudd films) and i came away pleasantly surprised.
  5. The one with the guy from Cold Feet (totally forgot his name). I'd always assumed (based on the DVD art) that it was a British take on Dexter. Was i wrong?
  6. Young Adult. Charlize Theron was brilliant as the unlikable, lead in this film written by the woman behind Juno. Granted it wasn't exactly what i was expecting, but i still loved it.
  7. *dies. Seriously though, i cannot wait for this. Sherlock is probably my favourite show on television. I just wish we had more of it. Also Watson's rocking that moustache.
  8. I believe it was on PS+ in August last year; but i only recently got the PS3 so i missed it. Also, its only £3.
  9. I've done, Year 1, Killing Joke, Returns, Long Halloween and Arkham Asylum. Which Batman comic should i tackle next?

Wow, I guess I must've conditioned myself to ignore WaS because I completely missed that he had even replied. Sorry.

  10. I wonder if Nintendo thinks the likes of 3D World and Pikmin are more interesting to the mainstream consumer than they actually are. Pikmin isn't going to provide a major push on hardware sales, and Mario 3D whilst looking neat; is just another Mario game. I'm sure Mario Kart will help, but i don't see people going ape-sh*t over these things and suddenly making the Wii U a console to own.
  11. £3 on the Blockbuster.co.uk website. I've heard some good things about this; and at £3 including delivery, i'm willing to take the gamble.
  12. Confidence. First time i'd heard of this movie (not surprising). It stars Ed Burns, Dustin Hoffman, Andy Garcia and Rachel Weisz and is totally forgettable. It tries to be cool but misses the mark by a country mile. I like Burns but i'm not sure he's quite cool enough to pull this off. Weisz, Garcia and Giamatti are criminally underused and Hoffman is..well awfully cast.
  13. One of the few reasons why my Vita is still my Vita. Shame its been pushed back, but it'll give me a chance to play through some other games first. Maybe a Christmas present if i'm a good boy.
  14. **Sorry for the tripple post** Just caught UP for the third time. Once again, its incredible. The animation is as fantastic as ever and the characters ooze charm. It goes a little wayward towards the end (but i guess it had to at some point), but its still arguably one of the best films of the last decade. And thats before it turned me into a blubbering mess with one of the finest opening 25 minutes any film has ever had. A masterclass in keeping your audience emotionally involved from the very beginning, and a lesson in how to tell a story without the need for a voiceover.
  15. You should be able to send SMS's USING the Nexus 7, but it won't send them directly. I've been using an app called Mighty Text that allows me to send texts from my browser/tablet provided they're on the same WiFi network as my phone. It works for the most part.
  16. I've still not finished Season 4. I've seen the entire run of AD about 5 times, but i've hit a wall with Season 4. I enjoyed the first episode, but since then its totally missed the mark with me. They seem more interested in making the story come together than they do being funny. And clearly not being able to get the cast in the same room is a problem. If you enjoyed it, great; but i'm not sure if i even want this 5th season.
  17. So apparently Pikmin 3 is out tomorrow. Well done Nintendo.

Nintendo for some time now has had a stiffy for releasing shit in Europe before North America. Bravely Default comes out late 2013 in europe and early 2014 in USA.

      FMW

Yah. Nintendo of Europe is a little quicker and a little more niche friendly than NoA these days. Inazuma 11, Last Window, Fatal Frame, Operation Rainfall games, etc. That's the new Nintendo norm.

  18. I may be wrong on this one, but doesn't Dragon Age 2 allow you to get two of your party members together at some point? *I'm basing that on a conversation i heard on Weekend Confirmed a few days ago.
  19. District 13. I'm not sure where i landed on this. It starts off very well indeed, but it gets a little stodgy in the middle. The female lead is basically totally redundant and the bad guy is a bit weak; but the action is fantastically shot and performed. 3/5
  20. On the contrary; i kind of hope they delve into those aspects a little more. I still want Jaeger's vs Kaiju, but maybe giving us some interesting characters could be a good idea. The drifting thing was massively underdeveloped in the first movie. Apparently they threw away 100 minutes of extra stuff (i'm not sure if it was shot or not), but hopefully we'll see an extended version at some point.
  21. I've rediscovered Gunslinger. Fantastic game. BANG BANG!

are we singing rammstein? BANG BANG!

  22. That scene would have been three trillion times better if they'd revealed his name to be Dick Grayson. As is it's just awful. I don't think that would have hit home with the mainstream audience as well though. Sure, nerds would have loved it but the average film goer would have been left pretty confused. OMG ROBIN WHO KNEW! Fucking mainstream audiences suck.
  23. A women as talented as that, shouldn't be dying like that. Although it did give us this. http://peopledyinglikemarioncotillard.tumblr.com/
  24. Say what you will about Levitt (who i think is a perfectly watchable actor); Cotillard is far from talentless. They were given very limited roles in TDKR and its probably not fair to judge them on those roles alone. Cotillard for example has an Oscar under her belt, and blew people away in Rust and Bone which was out mere weeks after TDKR arrived last summer. *i'm a bit of a Cotillard fan, but regardless, to say they're not very talented is downright wrong in my opinion.
