  1. Honestly, i could get by on my bike and paying for the petrol in my GF's car; but i know that it'll be worth it in 4-5 years when my insurance has dropped down a little and im more comfortable behind the wheel. The earlier storms have subsided. Its been pushing 30degree's again. I fucking hate this weather.
  2. Unfortunately my fiancee (we live together) just bought a brand new car. There's no way i'll be sitting in the drivers seat on that thing. As for the driving itself, i think its going okay. I've driven on some pretty busy roads. I need to remember to turn the wheel a little more on corners. I'm still struggling to work out where the wheels are in correlation to where i need them to be to turn.
  3. We had a fairly impressive thunder storm last night too (Leicestershire). Lightning, Rain, Thunder; kept me awake for an hour or so. Its supposed to be continuing throughout the day; which is a crapshoot as i've got a driving lesson in 3 hours.
  4. I don't mean to boast (......) but i can walk to his recently found burial site in about an hour. Go me!
  5. (does that link work?) Bioshock and Rogue were picked up outside of Steam, but i figure as they were offered for roughly the same price during the SSS i'd include them in this list. All in all i'm pretty pleased with that. The top two games are probably, in hindsight a mistake but whatever; its only £5.
  6. I've got Reus and Alpha Protocol in my Steam basket. Do i make the purchase?

Hot Heart sucks dicks and doesn't know what he's talking about. Though he actually is since the boss fights are horribly designed and force you to use guns

    3. Hot Heart

      Hot Heart

Pistol gives you that lock-on three-shot thing, which completely annihilates bosses.

      Mr. GOH!

      Reus is fun, too.

  7. The Worlds End. Got out an hour ago. Its a fairly entertaining affair that doesn't quite hit the heights of Fuzz or Shaun. I think the plot was lacking a little to be honest, and it didn't have the same clever writing that Shaun of the Dead had, but then; maybe this film wasn't meant for me? Its fine though, seriously. 3/5
  8. TDKR left me cold. I adore the first two in the Nolan films, but TDKR is a hot mess of poor storytelling and plot holes. Also Batman appears to turn into some sort of super soldier who for whatever reason isn't taken down immediately by a well placed sniper shot from someone on top of a building. Thats not to say i didn't enjoy it; but its a long way behind Begins and Dark Knight for me. Even Marion Cottilard coulnd't make it better for me.
  9. **Totally saw the spoiler after i quoted the above post - Fuck** I'm in two minds about wether to see this or not. On the one hand, i've been looking forward to it a lot. On the other hand though, i wanna go see Pacific Rim again and by the looks of it, The Worlds End will be hanging around in theatres for longer.
  10. How are they going to incorporate Batman into this film without making him look totally b-list compared to Superman? Sup's gonna be off knocking down skyscrapers (because Zack Snyder) whilst Batman's what? Punching a few grunts?
  11. I assume this isn't a spoiler. 'Sherlock' Actor and Co-Creator Mark Gatiss has been cast in a yet unnamed role for Season 4 of the show. Any idea's as to who he'll play? The internet is telling me it'll probably be Randyl Tarly or Mace Tyrell.
  12. I give you Benedict Cumberbatch as Julian Assange.
  13. Glengarry Glen Ross is also brilliant. Maybe its my just friends, but no on i ask has ever heard of it.
  14. Got to a point where i just wasn't having fun trying to get the highest grade possible; so i cleared the level and moved on. Also i stuck with the Horse's head for the entire game. Those door kills can be invaluable.
  15. I've got my first driving lesson in 18 minutes. I'm shitting bricks here guys.

Take a deep breath and realize that one day you'll look back at your lessons and cherish those moments. Especially the time you drove an oil tanker off the road and killed all those special needs children.

You are up for parole soon.

10 & 2 was before airbags, you're supposed to have your hands at 4 and 8 so the airbag pushes your arms down out of the way not into your face.

  16. I don't think its in the regular cut; but those scenes with Boromir celebrating victory at Osgilliath are some of my favourite from that series. I think it added an important bit of character to Boromir that we didn't really get in the theatrical cut.
  17. I've almost stopped playing at this point. Maybe i'm just burnt out; but i've totally lost interest. What happens to my town if i just leave it for a few weeks?
  18. No. 125 films in total. I'd guess that mybe 80 are first watches.
  19. Just got out about an hour ago and all i can say it WOW. I went in expecting to love the sh*t out of this film, and it didn't disappoint I'm not saying its the best film ever made, because its not; but it did exactly what i wanted it to do. Sure the characters are a little one-note, and i think the second act suffers a little from being overlong; but all in all i loved everything on show. Its the first film in a very long time whereby i've left the theatre in a more excited mood than i entered. Also i think i uttered 'Holy Fuck' like 30 times in that theatre. Thankfully i was alone for 3 people sitting 9 rows below me. A visual feast that i won't forget in a long time. One of my favourites; and probably my favourite new film of the year (also my 125th).
  20. GMG have Bioshock Infinite available for £15 on PC for 24 hours. HERE Apply this code at the checkout to get it for £12
  21. Heavy Rain It took me an hour or two to get over the QTE and control aspects of the game, but after i'd come to terms with those parts of the game i thoroughly enjoyed it. Found the story to be gripping and tense; although i am a little annoyed that my controller disconnecting at the wrong time cost me some story beats after one of my characters died.
  22. Any idea why my villager keeps falling over? I should be getting annoyed; but its just so damn adorable.
  23. I've gotten into a few scuffles (mainly as the overweight cop). Is it possible to die during one of those? Or does the fight just continue until you finally nail the QTE sequence? The only time i failed to land one, my character woke up from a dream.
