  1. I feel your pain. Thankfully i'm not that bothered about going Platinum. Once i've had enough of a game, i've had enough. I'm sure i'll revisit it as and when they release more DLC however.
  2. Tried my first real salad for lunch today. I enjoyed it, up to a point. I don't know if i was full or if i had just eaten to much salad, but my stomach started to reject what i was feeding it. I'm thinking in future, maybe i should mix it up a little. Maybe have half as much Salad, and something a little less watery. A Beef Burger for example?
  3. I'm wandering if maybe buying it on PC for £10 might be a good idea. At the moment, the only thing i'm interested in playing on is my PC. Maybe i could use that as a spring board. I'm not going to shell out £30 for it though.
  4. Im sure it is a great game...but it'll be the 4th game in the Creed series i've played inside 10 months. I had to stop with Brotherhood half way through because i was getting bored with the mechanics. I figured i'd take a 3-4 month break and be ready to go, but i'm still not feeling it. Still, i'll do my level best to get through/started next Monday/Tuesday. I want the game done by the end of the month.
  5. I think i'm just going to run run through it. Usually i like to get a good few hours out of the game, but at this stage i just want to get it off my list.
  6. I've got to look after our mums house for two days next week so I'm probably going to take the 360 over and blitz through that.
  7. Had a little shock this morning. I went on the wii fit for only the second time. Apparently based on my BMI I'm technically overweight. Now I known BMI is a bit of a shitty way to work that out, but there's no way I'm overweight. Regardless of the fact that I don't believe it, I do know I've got lazy this last year. Since moving in with my girlfriend my meals have been less healthy, and I'm not going to the gym anymore. I'm going to make a few changes. I work at the local supermarket, on the fresh produce dept. it's probably the most physically demanding job in the store. Constantly pulling 7ft tall pallet boards full of £1000s worth of stuff, lifting heavy crates onto shelves and running around like a mad man for 8 hours a night. I've also started To bike the 5 miles to and from work again. So I figured it'll only take a small change to my diet to get me back to where I want to be. I can't afford to sign up to a gym membership, so I've been thinking about buying a treadmill. I hate running in the street so that's not really an option, unless I go out very early. What's the opinion on the fitbit / Nike+. Would this help me in anyway or should I nail down the diet first? And what's the best way to go about tracking calorie intake?
  8. I'd probably give it to Mass Effect 3. I spent 50 or so hours on that game, inside a 7 day period. And as someone that at most spends 2-3 hours playing a game on any given day, thats pretty impressive. I couldn't put it down. Yes the ending was poor, but the overal ride was fantastic. Honourable mentions to The Witcher 2, which took me a while to get into but eventually proved to be just as good as i had heard. Rayman Origins for Vita was and still is my favourite Vita title. I'm not a massive fan of platformers, but i really enjoyed that. It looks, sounds and plays fantastic. Had it had Online Co-Op it might have pushed Mass Effect 3. The Walking Dead? I know its technically not a full game, but i'm counting episodes 1 and 2 in. Both games have left me wanting more. I kind of wish i had waited until the full season was out.
  9. My iPod Nano has unfortunately gone for a swim inside the washing machine.

You can try putting it in rice.

I washed my Ipod Touch in the wash. It survived...though I kept it off for about a week.

      Sold it soon after.

Ah, the Karma God did strike me back soon after with a multitude of PC issues.

I've tried the rice trick. Its been 3 days now and i'm fairly sure its toast. I'm assuming that, as the Nano was still turned on when the wash started, that its just fried. O well. It has served me well.

  10. In the last 10 months i've managed to play through AC, AC2 and Brotherhood, but i just can't build up any motivation to throw myself into Revelations. I don't know if i'm just tired of the formular, or burnt out on the story. I've started Revelations, got about an hour into it and found myself getting frustrated with a certain mission. Maybe i'll add it onto my Shameless Gaming pile. I just want to get it done. As for the Vita version. I can't wait. Hopefully they go down the route that TheCowboyPoet suggested. Short missions, lots of combat and climbing and a decent storyline.
  11. Meanwhile Calgary just keep going backwards.
  12. I'd been hearing things about the Parise deal but the Suter deal has taken me completely off guard. I was sure he was heading to Detroit. Speaking of Detroit, they're D is starting to look awful ropey.
  13. I'm going to stop playing Tribes before i start buying things. I don't need that pain.

I bought the starter pack when it was half price there this week. After buying that, I was able to unlock all the classes and the 50% lifetime experience boost seems to be enough to allow me to unlock everything else I want. I don't know if it's worth it's full price though, at least if you're not that into it.

  14. Decided to give Twitter a wide birth for a few weeks. This is going to be tough.

I, too, have decided to give Twitter a wide girth.

Supposedly staying away from technology for a certain amount of time can raise your spirits. Facebook/Twitter/etc can cause depression.

I think its more likely to push me into having to set up an RSS account again. I'm a big fan of Twitter Lists for all of my RSS needs.

  15. Think i'm gonna head into town and see The Amazing Spiderman next Tuesday. Looking forward to it, but thats mainly because i like Garfield and Stone. This morning i've re-watched Attack the Block. Probably enjoyed it more the 2nd time around. Definitely worth a watch if you're into Aliens, Pop-Culture references. Its from the people that made Hott Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.
  16. Metro 2033 is really kind of tense.

  17. I just can't get focused on Sword and Sworcery. I want to love it, but i just can't. I'm thinking it might be down to the fact that i'm playing it on an iPad. I guess its the optimal device to play it on, but i get distracted too easy. 50% through, but i've lost the will to go further. Worth a go on PC?
  18. Joey Crabb. Our signing on day one of free agency was a 4th line winger. Fantastic. On a serious note, he should give us some much needed depth. Still no second line centre though. I know it awful early, but I thought someone would show some real interest in Semin. TSN had some really harsh (unfairly so) words about him. They labelled him a 'coach killer' which just is not true. Baring the failure to report thing way back in 2005, he's never caused much trouble in Washington. You can sometimes question his effort levels, but he's never done anything to hurt the team. Even those stupid penalties are done out of wanting the puck back. Unfortunately the media in North America seems to associate the quiet, and more annoyingly the Russian players with the trouble makers. Semin is a lot of things, but he's not a trouble maker. Rant over. F*ck you TSN.
  19. George Parros has gone to Florida, which is a little disappointing as Washington was supposedly into that deal. I'm sure we'll see more moves over the next month. These big multi-day events are always disappointing.
  20. Firstly, Happy Canada day to any Canadians on the board. Secondly, its 'Free Agent Frenzy'. Washington will be saying Bye Bye to Alex Semin, a player who's time in Washington has divided opinion. One minute we love the guy, his outrageous shot, his puck handling ability. The next he's taking a offensive zone stick penalty in 9 straight games. On the whole though, i think we'll remember him fondly. Treat him well whoever gets him.
  21. Well i'll definitely be picking that up inside the next month. I've got a Steam Wishlist thats steadily growing out of control. It's a real shame they don't sell Steam Giftcards in the UK.
  22. I admit defeat. I'm going to turn Metro 2033 down to Easy. I hate myself.

That's the part. That or I was outside. That part is just brutally hard. I just refuse to back down... many tears were drank by the game.

  23. A friend of mine at work actually likes episodes 1-3 more than 4-6. In fact, i think he outright dislikes 4-6. Cant get my head around it myself, the only reasoning i can put to it, is that he just doesn't like older films. Maybe the image quality or cheesy script puts him off? Or maybe he just really like animated robots.
  24. I can't confirm this, but i hear the new version isn't actively bad, and its got a cool advert.
