Great cast and subject. Just looks a little melodramatic.

Judging by that sentence, it sounds like it's already stressing you out far too much.

Pro-tips from one of the creative directors. http://www.bethblog.com/2012/10/09/protips-for-dishonored/

I AM A BIOTIC GOD.

Shameful, really. I mean, how long does it take to add the U into the title? COME ON!

Britain does not recognise this particular individual and suggests it may be extra-terrestrial in nature.

Yeah, the random factor seems to play into everything. First time I got Gwen's Head it was firestarting but pretty rubbish so I screencapped it (for posterity) and then sold it. Then the box (WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!) reappeared later and contained a much better version but without an element. Well, it turns out everything in The Dust had had a level boost, which was nice except for the fact that I only learned this after I ramped into the central bandit camp thinking I knew where I was going on a quest. But I got out unruffled and with four great new shields. Only, they're all great in different ways and now I can't decide between them...

I like metal music when there aren't any vocals.

Yeah, that opening is possibly one of the worst ever in gaming.

I really like it. There are a couple of bum tracks but it's more in-line with the sound I like.

Haha. So I just got a very nice weapon as a reward, but it turns out it was a trap! I sold the sniper rifle it replaced only to discover much later that this one has a voice, which it uses to chastise me for everything I do!

I think I know the mission (Arms Dealing?). Fortunately, I have Deception, which gave me enough time to achieve my goal. I don't know if you've since completed it, but it might be worth going to the locations and clearing out the enemies first. That seems to work sometimes. And, yeah, rats are damn annoying. Especially when I'm more about heavy-hitting single shots and they're all skittering and dodging about.

The film did a few things better, but the explanation/justification for Big Daddy was awful, and the romantic aspect was a bit too contrived (though not wholly unwelcome). It was too 'Hollywood-ised' in some regards.

Yeah, that's where I was really happy with my set-up as Zero. Basically, I used Deception to buff the first hit, which stripped its shields. Then switched to a slag sniper rifle before using a firestarting one to knock its health right down. It ducked underground and reemerged with a full shield, I repeated the process once more and it died. But it is funny how differently the game can play depending on what weapons and items you get as well as your character build. I know I was struggling really early on, and I still get overwhelmed if I'm not careful.

I think Dean still has a worse boss to come (in Tundra Express). That was annoying because the damn thing exploded me off the side of the cliff the first time, right when I had its health down, ready to finish it off. Then I respawn and it's back to full health and shields. If I'm correct, the boss Dean was talking about was when I actually really appreciated the 'RPGness' of it. I had a three sniper rifle routine that made very short work of it. Though, obviously, it's not the same for every character. But I do actually think some areas are 'annoyingly' designed, with no vending machines when you want to rid yourself of vendor trash, and especially when enemies respawn when you're on your way back out. I'm not sure Gearbox even realises how irritating some of their design decisions are when it comes to enemy patterns either (just come here and let me smack you, stupid Stalker!)

Have you considered professional film reviewing?

Bought Zombieland on DVD because it was £3.

I have a sniper rifle for EVERY situation. Also, a bitchin' corrosive pistol that fires insanely fast, so you can actually watch the robots' respective health bars slide down into nothing.

Oh, yeah, I agree totally. Trying to pick things apart from a logical standpoint would probably ruin a lot of films, actually. Hoping I get to see the film this weekend. I loved Brick, and the guy's a talented writer/director.

Well, it is time travel.

New multiplayer DLC (free as usual) with a load of extras. Foremost among them: Collectors! It's got the regular stuff (new classes, new weapons) but, instead of a new map this time around, it will have 'hazard' versions of existing maps as well as a 'challenge' feature, which is more to do with cosmetic stuff in the lobbies. http://blog.bioware.com/2012/10/04/mass-effect-3-retaliation-multiplayer-dlc/
