  1. *double post* Every time I consider buying GTAIV for PC, I just look at this thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=762088 Also, Singularity for $25? I don't know if I'd even buy that for $5...
  2. I'm back now, so hypothetically I could finish Dante's Inferno... but I dunwanna!
  3. We've got a Resolutions thread, but I don't think we have a New Year's plans threads. What are you folks doing in the big ol' real world? Dunno about you, but Halloween and New Year's are the two holidays I used to be the most depressed to spend alone or not doing anything interesting. This year though, it's been a bit different, and I haven't minded it so much. Chances are I'll be drinking and blasting some digital life forms this New Year's, though there's a slight chance one of my flaky best friends might make an appearance. You folks - watcha up to?
  4. Yeah, that's exactly why I didn't buy it on the Steam sale, even though it was $5.
  5. Usually play a warrior with a sword in each hand. It's an odd obsession that a surprising amount of games fulfill.
  6. I mean, I'd love for this to be good. I think Crystal Dynamics has been doing good things with the series since they came on board, but I still remember when TR: Underworld hit with concept art and all the details on how innovative the game would be, etc... And it wasn't really. Still, something tells me this will be much better. I want to play the Guardian of Light, but I'm gonna wait till I have a co-op opportunity for that.
  7. Crap. I don't have enough space on my harddrive for all my Steam games. Time for TB harddrives, next update, I guess...
  8. I could have sworn there was something I was going to do on here once I got home, but I have no clue what.

The same thing we do every night, try and take over the world?

  9. I had some super screwy dreams last night. I can't remember the others, but there was one I woke up from at like 3am and couldn't go back to bed for a while, I was so freaked out. Essentially, I was the guy from this movie I just heard the plot of (won't name names for spoiler concerns) and had murdered some people and was paranoid, afraid and guilty and knew my entire life was over, as I had murdered some folks and it was just a matter of time before everything was found out. Might not sound like it, but easily the most disturbing dream I've had in longer than I can remember.
  10. BOO. Just got back to SF and I already miss my cat.

Hahahahhaa. I love you for the Midnight Meat Train reference.

  12. Today's deals are kind of balls. Still hoping for Puzzle Quest 2, ACI and the Stalker games.
  13. I see your optimism and I'm going to raise you... Uh... Actually, I'm just going to split the pot with you on that optimism bit. 2011! Im'a ready!
  14. switching back and forth between whiskey and wine *may* not have been the best decision, stomach-wise.

But it IS the best decision, ummm...entertainment wise?

  15. Frickin numbers. I remember EA, etc, looking at Facebook gaming about a year ago or so, and saying, "This is the future." This was a frightening moment. Though, really, it makes sense. As social gaming, in MMOs, and the casual market becomes more prominent, Facebook, already an addiction for a ridiculous number of people, becomes the ideal market. Particularly when you have a number of different currencies to convert through, turning real cash into less-scary-to-spend 'tokens.' It's amazing how adept humans have become at finding new, excellent ways to squeeze money out of other humans.
  16. Oh, yeah. The space scene with Rinoa and Squall? I was crying my lonely eyes out with that one, way back in high school.
  17. Every time I see this I say, "ATLUS WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!" I firmly believe this. We will see it localized. And IIIII cannnn't wait!
  18. Yarg. Your year does not sound any better than mine, arguably worse, although similar. My credit is in a scary place too... AND now that I'm finally graduating, I get to start paying off my student loans (35k+ at the moment) in six months. 2011 is really asking for a turn around.
  19. Gosh darn. This is a tough one. I'm really not sure. Probably some shareware on the PC. I do know my first 'system' though, was a Game Boy. One of these see through ones: I was such a happy kid. All my friends had Nintendos and cool computer games that I wanted so badly, but my parents were hesitant (because they were afraid to get me hooked on video games probably, and we didn't have a lot of money then), while all I got where the crappy $15 or whatever video games with the LCD screens that had something appear in a pre-determined spot when you pressed a button. So when I got the Game Boy for (my seventh?) birthday, I was over the moon. I know I eventually got Donkey Kong Land, Super Mario Land, and Kirby's Dream Land (I guess 'Land' was the suffix for the Game Boy versions of the main Nintendo titles), but the game I remember having first, was F-1 Racing. Haha, such a simple game, and I remember sucking at it, but it was a video game, and so I was happy.
  20. Yeah, I should mention, the only ones I've played fully are 7, 8, 10, 12 and tactics. I'm missing the classics. (Didn't have a SNES or PS when I was a kid, and was too young when I had a NES to get into the first Final Fantasy) Buuuut, if I get a 3DS, I guess I can go back and play some of the ones I missed, finally.
  21. Efterklang. Their latest album's a lot different than past albums, but it's all damn good. Off first album: I love that song.
  22. In the absence of Tactics, I've gotta go with XII. I loved that game, despite what anyone says. The voice acting was surprisingly good, the visuals spectacular, the towns vibrant and original, the gameplay like a streamlined MMO (which I loved), the story complex and interesting, the characters compelling. I don't know, I loved everything about it. Not being able to finish it is one of my greatest gaming regrets. Unfortunately, I got way too obsessive with trying to level and get 'everything' which is pretty much impossible but for the most hardcore for FF games, so I had more than a hundred hours when my PS3 died and I lost the data. Not going to do that again.
