I have a strange obsession with underwater beasties, the larger the better. It's scary as hell, but that's what I love about it. Then again, I don't imagine I'd share that enthusiasm while actually at sea or swimming. As soon as I start thinking about stuff like that, I give myself the heebie-jeebies reallly easily. [EDIT] Ohh - and not to boot any sterotypes or anything, but I don't do well with spiders. hatehatehatehate

I bet the catfish wasn't too happy about that either. :grin:

And driving in city traffic. (Stemming from my totaling my car in a very stupid manner [no alcohol involved] on Prom night Senior year and then moving to San Francisco where you don't need a car, and then having six and a half years without driving to let that event fester)

I always found the flak cannon in the Unreal games to be an incredibly satisfying weapon. For anyone that never played the series, it's basically a shotgun on steroids, that also has a secondary fire which acts as an explode-on-contact grenade launcher. A great 'chunking' weapon, often with one hit kills.

Same, haa. Seriously though, procrastination. It has gotten to dangerous levels, this past year. And this place isn't helping.

Been to any good shows lately? Any musicians/bands that are amazing live? Any you saw and were terribly disappointed by? Share stories and live videos you particularly like, right here. To start: This is actually from a show I was at. You can't see me in any of the clips, but I was up at the front of the stage, on the left. Tiny venue, so they were right in front of us. Best show I have ever been to, easily. These folks give a really amazing performance and they are just ridiculously nice. Next, Declan de Barra gives an incredible performance on Irish television, with a song from his first solo album. He was formerly in the excellent, but short lived band Clann Zu (they would have been amazing to see live).

How you have time to get copious TF2 drops AND comment on here more as much as you do, I do not know this.

This guy makes some pretty excellent songs. Mumblecore or nerd rock or whatever.

Crysis on sale today. I think Jack or Pheer or someone was asking about that originally. Also, if someone doesn't have them, Platinum Pack for King's Bounty is highly recommended. I'm hoping they put the Stalker games on a daily before the end of the sale.

Shoot, I honestly can't remember. I think I beat Dragon Age this year though? It's hard for me to tell what happened this year and what happened last... And we're about to have another one! Crap.

I've actually heard (and this may be an urban legend) that drinking a lot of carbonated liquid can make it kind of sting or something for the recipient. Admittedly, this sounds suspect. I just had two fried eggs, a turkey sausage and a slice of blueberry pie my mom made. And at the moment, I am drinking vanilla grapefruit white tea.

Yeahh, another game I haven't finished that I probably never will... I think price makes all the difference in games like this. For $5 - $20, I won't feel too burnt, but full price at $40 - $60 (plus tax, if it's retail), I'll be really disappointed.

I actually thought this looked like garbage, but picking it up on a Steam sale, was pleasantly surprised.

Oh gosh. I've bought so many games at full price I regret. Like many have mentioned though, FF13 was a HUGE disappointment. I mean, I was looking forward to that for YEARS. And... it was atrocious. Disciples III is another that I was waiting for, a long, long time. Five, six years? Boy, that was a waste of money and a sad disappointment.

I also got whiskey stones. Gonna try them out tonight if they get cold fast enough.

Shoot, here comes my first double post. Anyway, my best friend had a small band up in Washington (they broke up this year), and this is the promo their label put our for their last album. He has toooons of solo music on top of the band stuff, and some of it is really damn good. Shame it's impossible to get anywhere... although I think this album did get put out on iTunes.

Zuma Blitz on Facebook is actually pretty fun. It's Zuma's Revenge, but with leveling, a new level every week, stuff you can spend your money on (if you're stupid/addicted) and weekly leaderboards to compete with your friends.

I wonder if Ice T likes these guys now.
