  1. I have a purring cat kneading his claws on my belly right now. Too cute to remove.
  2. Second one was supposed to be a bit better, but I suppose I'll never know. Saves from the first game are dead along with my fried PS3.
  3. I think this wasn't even a collector's edition where you had to pay more - they just gave it to you if you pre-ordered. I never actually opened it because I never finished the first game.
  4. YUM! I ate that yesterday with the fiancee. We split a chicken burrito with rice and cheese. I actually don't like Chipotle. I know, I'm weird.
  5. I've got an ancient and embarrassing email forever linked to my account, so I can empathize.
  6. If a bunch of old-school, mindless FPS slaughter is your thing, definitely. I loved what I played of the first one when it first came out years back, but it's really a matter of how you like your FPS. I think today's the first day in the sale I haven't bought something for myself or someone else... Although, I need to check and see if one of my friends has played KOTOR. Because if not...
  7. See my sig below. I let my XBLA expire though, so I'm rarely on.
  8. Hmm... I'm trying to remember where I stopped playing. Chapter Three maybe? Might have been two... I remember the guy at the hunting lodge getting all smashed up, but I can't remember how far I got after that. I loved the atmosphere of the game, but for some reason the combat started irritating me and feeling repetitive or something. The more I think about it though, the more I want to finish the game just for the atmosphere.
  9. This is my dilemma in a lot of games, but Alan Wake was a prime example, and it was something that oddly frustrated me. I actually never finished the game. It's on my ridiculously long 'need-to-finish' list.
  10. I knew this had to be in here somewhere. Just seeing screenshots of the game deaths in these disturbed me to no end when I was a youngin'
  11. Woah. I can't believe I didn't realize that, until this. ^
  12. this air purifier my parents set up in my old room while I was gone keeps sparking and scaring the shit out of me.

  13. I actually dug Terminator Salvation, but I'm a whore for Worthington. That said, the best example I've EVER seen of an awesome trailer and a horrible movie: This is seriously one of the worst movies I have ever seen, and yet one of the best trailers. Whoever cut he trailer is a genius - they literally took the best few seconds of the film and mashed them together in an incredibly appealing manner.
  14. I'm going to add everyone in this thread in a few days when I get back to the city and have proper use of Steam again.
  15. I finally saw the new Harry Potter tonight, with my mom and dad. It was great! Looking forward to the last one. I grew up with the books, and was roughly the same age as 'Harry' when they started, so it's kind of strange to finally have it all be at an end.
  16. I would have voted 'It doesn't matter one bit,' a few years ago, but from more recent experience, I have to say it would be really nice to have someone to play more than casual games with. Video games have always been a part of my life, and like most things in life, they're something that become far more enjoyable with close friends, or ideally, a significant other. Still, that's in 'an ideal world.' It seems I tend to fill that old cliche and attract complete opposites who are about as interested in video games as I am in fashion, and vice versa.
  17. Yeahh... I dunno if I've gone a day without buying something in the sale, yet.
  18. Haha... yeahh. I'm in middle of nowhere too, right now. With internet that is only about ten times the speed of dial-up. When even youtube videos takes forever to load, I think you're officially in the boonies.
  19. I got my sister all three Sierra Gabriel Knight games today. We've been looking for them for, literally, years. When we were kids we took a tour of Sierra Online for my sister's school project (the company was based in the town I grew up in) and we saw GK2 being made. My mom wouldn't let us play it because it was M and were young, but I think we borrowed a copy anyway. Regardless, for something like ten years we've been looking for a copy to download, since the disks are long gone, but it wasn't out there - legal issues, apparently. Seems they finally got that cleared though, because 1 - 3 were on GoG and I found and bought them for her today. She was literally squealing out of excitement (talked to her over the phone, she's with the in-laws for Christmas). It was great - neither of us found a present for each other because we were so busy and I felt shitty just getting her a giftcard, so this was perfect. Made my Christmas, really.
  20. Odd, my post didn't post. Carrotan, but I'm rarely on these days.
  21. In honor of the PSN IDs thread, I present the Steam ID thread. Post your IDs or profile links here (since IDs don't always seem to work). Mine currently is: ForgetfulBrain or http://steamcommunity.com/id/the_forgetful_brain
  22. I'm trying to remember what I've bought on the PSN. Got Deathspank, but I wish I'd waited and got it on the PC - bought it with the intent of playing 2P with someone, but didn't really happen. Battlefield 1943 (?) was also a bit of a disappointment. It just felt kind of bland and empty, IMO, compared to the other BF games. Siren is downloadable - pretty darn scary, too, if you like Survival Horror. I never finished it - I need to someday. It was really depressing and confusing, story-wise, where I was in the game, but it was good (and terrifying).
