  1. Cementing his place as the "Dick" roommate, he declined to pay $20 so we could have cleaners come and automatically pass our first cleaning check. No, even when my other roommate offered to pay his part, he didn't OK the cleaners and so, on the night before, I find this out and have a relatively small panic attack. Now that everything is in order, I'm fine and cleaning, but seriously... #1 Dick roommate I've had. I should have known something like this would happen when he wouldn't even share toilet paper. No, unlike all of my previous roommates, he hides his away so I don't use his precious paper on my poophole! EDIT: And if for some reason we do fail the cleaning check, we are going to be paying out the butt for cleaners on an hourly basis.
  2. Or, if you wouldn't mind paying $300, you could get Amazon's exclusive "Family Entertainment Bundle" that includes the Ratchet & Clank Collection along with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. It's the 250GB console, and it comes with a remote for Blu-ray. Amazon Family Entertainment Bundle!
  3. If you got yourself a Wii U, and happen to be without Scribblenauts Unlimited... Target has it for $39.99 online!

      ... I just bought that yesterday for $60. :/

Curses! If only I lived near a Target. And also had not bought it for 60 the other day.

  4. Got The World Ends With You for $14.99 on Amazon's... pre-Cyber Monday sale? I dunno, but all I know is that I wanted to know those characters after Traverse Town in KH 3D.

Yeah, Master Xehanort could use the Death Star to create a blockade around Kingdom Hearts. Sora and Riku must then use their lightsaber keyblades to defeat the Emperor!

Or much better, at the end of the game Sora takes off his hair (it's just a hard plastic wig) and it's revealed that you've been playing as the Hitman in disguise all game.

  5. Google Drive Presentation; Pro: Group can work on project over Thanksgiving break; Con: OH LAWD IT MAKES NO SENSE!

  6. The Wii U version has co-op multiplayer, and I've read that it can store more than 900 customized objects. I've been tempted to get Unlimited on PC, but on the Wii U it seems like a great "buddy" game. You know, sharing the Scribblenauts experience with someone.
  7. I did all of my Black Friday shopping online, and if anything, if I didn't get my PS3 from Best Buy earlier this week, I had multiple options this year. I guess though that the perk of going to an actual retail store is instant gratification because my items won't arrive until a week... hopefully. If I had more money, I would get the "crimson red" controller at Target. Still, I got the #1 item and a great 3DS game along with a new carrying case for the 3DS.
  8. Seriously, if you want that Black Friday PS3 bundle with Infamous and Uncharted, it's online at Best Buy for $199.99!

Not so much black friday, but if you use a code an amazon you can get a Vita Wi-fi with Madden, a 4GB mem card and LittleBigPlanet, for $249.99

      TheRevanchist

Thanks, Advent. However, I am pursuing the 3DS on this hunt.

  9. FYI, the Killzone Trilogy Ultimate Combo Pack went live on Best Buy, as well as the whole "Black Friday" online sales, and it is listed as $39.99. You still pay tax, but the whole Killzone trilogy and a controller is worth that price. EDIT: And so you can see it outside of my status update, LittleBigPlanet Karting is $25! Considering it's a recent full-priced retail game, getting it for $35 off is a good deal. Well, not to mention that it hasn't been receiving that much praise, if you were in the market for a Sony platform karting game.
  10. My PS3 finally shipped, and while I have a few games I've been waiting to play (again), I honestly think I'll finish this series first. I need to protect Clementine!
  11. It's weird to think that a manga is the true sequel to an anime since Eureka Seven received manga adaptions. I don't know how the Eureka Seven manga series are, but I've read the first adaption which tailors itself off the anime is darker and has a bittersweet ending compared to the anime.
  12. soundsjustlike.com will blow your mind.

  13. Rested and ready to lay into Eureka Seven! Straight off, I didn't have much of a problem with the series overall for the first 70% of it. Yeah, it could get really melodramatic, but it did make sense for Renton to get emotional for those times. The series follows a progression where everything seems typical, but then of course more is revealed about the world and characters that we've been following. However, it starts to trip over itself because everything that is presented is too much and gets muddled in trying to present any of it in a standard episode while trying to maintain a theme of love. Deep down there really is a great series, but as I was saying in my status update, there were too many instances of things happening just so things could happen. The theme of love I was mentioning, it takes center stage too often. It gets to the point where every character might as well drop everything they're doing so Renton and Eureka can be together to go through a cycle of crying, anger, and adolescent love. I say cycle because at times you'll have deja vu because somwhere along the line Eureka and/or Renton will go through the same drama. It makes me wonder if the writers, or whoever was responsible, even remembered what the series had gone over previously. Near the end it's proclaimed that finally the Nirvash was able to hear Renton's feelings, but then what the hell was all that Seven Swell junk in the beginning?! Yeah, in fact, they put a lot on the table and causally decide to leave it to us to accept, "This is what happened, but we don't have a good reason why!" I'm sure there's a trope name for this, but overall it feels like Eureka Seven tried to go big, but in my opinion they couldn't manage all the trimmings for such deep narrative rather than just showing us fantastic animation and scenes. Oh, and I could not sympathize with the Scub Coral. The hivemind species that was hibernating to prevent "The Limit of Questions," because too much intelligent life will just screw over the fabric of the universe. In any other setting, this entity would be a malicious threat. Yeah, they wanted to communicate, but they were killing off the planet to do so. Dewey was on all accounts a royal dick, but he made it very convincing that the Scub Coral screwed over humanity. Sure, they're intelligent and want peace in some fashion... except the only method they see that happening is by having the humans fuse into their consciousness. At least Dominic and Anemone turned out well, even if it was bare bones. I want to go into more, really, but that's about the gist of it. Eureka Seven AO just finished, and I've looked into what I would be getting myself into... and I don't want to go into it. Time travel and alternate universes?!
  14. I finished Eureka Seven tonight... I got use to Renton, but the series overall went downhill. I'll discuss it tomorrow when I have the fortitude, but the writing was awful. Things happening for the sake of having things happen, to put it simply.

I.. gotta agree. I watched it all the way through more to loyalty but it wasn't the best ending.

Hooo wait until you get to AO (which I just finished). Or the Movie.

  15. If you're still interested in some Black Friday deals after the bundle, there will be a few game series bundled with a controller called a "Ultimate Combo Pack." Amazon has the Ratchet & Clank Collection and Infamous Collection combo packs, but here's the whole Lightning Deal calendar for Video Games. Best Buy has the Killzone Trilogy Ultimate Combo Pack online this Thursday, and though it says $59.99, I believe it will be a little cheaper. If you're only interested in controllers, Walmart will have an exclusive transparent-blue, Target an exclusive transparent-red, and GameStop with an exclusive gold controller. Each of those will be around $40. EDIT: Oh, and if anyone wants a shot at the Black Friday bundle, Amazon will have it as a Lightning Deal between 5:10 pm - 9:10 pm PST. Definitely be there beforehand because Lightning Deals can sell out within a single minute!
  16. At the end of the day, I snagged all this jazz for $200!
  17. Finn and Jake's story was good enough, and more Marceline isn't bad. I seriously thought the theme was fingers/toes, not necessarily five fingers.
  18. The only changes we can expect is Nintendo eventually increasing the size of the internal storage. I can't imagine the actual control pad getting any serious changes, especially if the thing is designed to be the only pad per console. It's expense tech, so I can't imagine having alternative designs would be that lucrative.
  19. Got to finalizing my order, and Best Buy's site implodes from all the traffic. So very close, but so far away. I hope corporate has soiled themselves with this many pissed off customers, though this seems to happen every year. AMAZON IT IS!

So far, my wallet is still not in bad shape. Ballz, however, have been chopped by not finding a good deal on Carol Burnett episodes. Damn you, Time Life!

  20. Woke up early to snag a pre-Black Friday deal online. Just a hunch, but with how slow the page refreshes, I imagine there are thousands on the same page waiting for the product to unlock.

  21. That's some fancy jazz for a transfer process, and I'm sure there's a good amount of people excited to see Pikmin on their WiiU console. Over the weekend I was talking and watching this going on, and while it feels weird not getting a new Nintendo console around launch, it's something I have in common with a lot of gamers around me (locally) under the same situation. I'm about to graduate, so jumping into the next-gen console "era" isn't exactly what's on my mind at the time. I'm not even going to bother any family about a WiiU this Christmas season because it's going to be another madhouse. My father still remembers the time he won my GameCube for Christmas in a raffle because there were so few left at the store. He was lucky, and I only got a Wii in 2006 because I had the time to wait 12 hours at Walmart for one.
  22. Whoa, whoa... PXOD, you're not going Turbo, are ya?

  23. Burns stuff to disc in 2012? I'll give you home movies if the person likes to have a physical copy of their videos rather than housing video clips on: a memory card, on a computer's HDD, a flash drive, or a smart phone, or even uploading to YouTube. Thing is, I would expect more people to be familiar with a DVD's capacity if this was around 2006, or even 2007. Want to back up your computer with DVDs when you can have a 2TB external HDD? Want to burn that 2.5MB PDF to a disc instead of putting it on a flash drive, or even emailing it? A better question yet, does the average person still remember the capacity of a floppy disc? No, wait, how about a CD! Last time I burned anything to disc, it was a 22MB video clip on a CD (like I would waste a DVD) because I had to "turn it in." By next year, we were plugging in our flash drives into professors laptops. Now if you were asking me this back in 2003, I would have a laundry list of all the data CDs I burned for that year alone. EDIT: You know, we could ask people the capacity of a double-layered DVD too. I had someone bring me one of those a month ago, and I kid you not, it created a couple of confused faces. The file on the disc was 4.9GB, but "DVDs can't hold that much!" Yeah, this DVD I was holding couldn't be a DVD. It was defying logic!
  24. Just wanted to pull this out, but other than blank standard DVD discs, where else will the average consumer see these "big huge letters?" I know this is anecdotal evidence, but I've talked to far too many people who still don't know the capacity of a standard DVD.
