  1. After nearly 18 years, I sat down and got myself to face the true final boss of Kirby's Dreamland 2. Unfortunetly for me, and for whatever, I have literally picked up right at that spot from a past self who did all the requirements, but never faced it.

  2. Everyone around me is seeign Wreck-It Ralph, and I don't see myself viewing in the near future. Unless I do one of those things called a "date," but that's simply crazy-talk.
  3. Casshern Sins ended tonight on Toonami. Overall it ranges from action to melodrama, but it has the nasty habit of trying to bring a dialogue of life and death whilst losing your attention because the characters and environment do nothing to stimulate it. There is emotion, but it's always in a bitter and unfulfilled pace that you might as well watch an actual drama. Of course, you were probably expecting action from the series, but that too is very underwhelming. And now Toonami is pushing back Eureka 7 in favor of adding "the not-so-awful, but pretty bad still" Tenchi Muyo GXP. I may not like Eureka 7's male lead entirely, but I loathe GXP as a fan of Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki! and Tenchi TV/Universe.
  4. Didn't exactly know where to put this, but I thought maybe others would like to know how close Sonic the Hedgehog was to being a near exact Mario clone, or how it almost had the failings of Sonic the Hedgehog 06.
  5. I don't mind when company is over, but when they start flipping out about homework, it gets old.

  6. In regards to selling some of my stuff, I think I'll have a "trading assistant" sell my stuff. I most likely will never sell on eBay, so if a person can handle a few items and I get some profit, that's okay now. This whole week callers were just students who wanted to trade items because of a class project.

  7. "More true" as in simpler now, but you can still have individual complications on PC if you'll compare them to tablets or even handhelds. Then again, simpler the machine, the less trouble you'll have (unless your luck is terrible and it's defective). As much as people want to go on how amazing NES - N64 era consoles are to this day, those same consoles aren't powerhouses and can last because of that simplicity.
  8. Nah, I'm thinking The Lich appeared through some turn of events because you see bomber planes while Simon is in that in-between stage of his transformation. Like, all the world powers tried to destroy Lich and all the magical uprising that it resulted in self destruction. There's a theory that Finn's wish comes true, but it's a bitter sweet result. You know, if The Lich never existed, then would Marceline still be around? That skeleton has Marceline features after all. Overall, would Finn even be a hero rescuing princesses and his friends? Maybe his wish gives him a normal simple life. EDIT: Season 5 Episode Titles I think we can all agree this is the best one... 1014-118 Simon and Marcy
  9. Yeah, it seems to be the color of Hudson and not the Ice King as the latter has more of a blue hue whereas Hudson has that desaturated purple or grey skin depending on the "light" source.
  10. I just saw the television promo with a few extended scenes, and in one there was some wrestle-warrior type guy with Ice King's crown in his pants. I imagine Season 5 will be like the other seasons. Plot episodes to begin with, silliness in the middle, and a setup for the last few.
  11. In response to the print ad Duke posted, and after watching a particular episode of HIMYM, I highly suspect the two are connected.

  12. Eh, I'm wondering if I should have Okami HD too. I enjoyed it very much on the Wii, even with some of the naysayers. It definitely would give me something to use for my PS Move. A device I look at and sigh in relief by how I only payed $65 for the bundle.
  13. Late response, but Dean, while you're saying that 50% of users play games on their tablets (making it the second common use), I'm questioning exactly how many games they are actually downloading, or even buying. What if that 50% is just a majority of users playing Angry Birds and a few other games that are either Trials or "Free w/ Ads." You could say there's a large market, but how easily can you penetrate said market if their interest only stems to a select range of games?
  14. Wal-Mart has some pretty good Online Specials. One of particular interest is the customizable PS3 bundle. Well, while you can pick other PS3 models, it's really only a steal when you select the 160GB model.

They sometimes (and probably still do) have game bundles, where you can pick from a list of older games, 75% shitty, but some gems in there, at a deal price, like 3 games for $30 and you get a free additional game. They also have the best price I can find for the Cinderella movie (not that anyone here would care about that).

  15. Theme song remix for Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage?
  16. Yeah, I still read Bleach, but it's basic entertainment at this point. That "reveal" today was just... Alright, we don't know much about "her," but Ichigo at this point has become the ultimate being of his universe because there isn't a single spiritual power he has not gained/mastered which has made him surpass his peers in the matter of days when they in turn have had hundreds of years to master their power. EDIT: Oh, but technically Ichigo doesn't have any Hollowification considering his "ultimate bankai attack" basically was a hard reset to his powers. When we regained his powers again, other Shinigami individuals added their power so Ichigo could regain his own.
  17. So, uh, you know... WHY DA HELL WAS IT NOT MADE CLEAR THAT TENCHI UNIVERSE THE COMPLETE SERIES WAS FINALLY MADE, UH, UH, UH... AVAILABLE AS OF OCTOBER 16TH?!!??!?!??!??!! AND THE COMPLETE OVA SERIES WILL BE AVAILABLE, ON THAT DELICIOUS BLU-RAY FORMAT, DECEMBER 18TH, 2012! Right before the End Times
  18. I've been trying to sell my television for a week now, and I've had a few potential buyers. What stops them? They don't seem to realize how small 19" is for television.

Yeah, I let them know that, but when you've got a laptop (15"-17")instead of a desktop, that's a hard sell.

I used to have a 19'' tv. Whenever I used to visit home and saw tv in it, after using my 36'', it was fucking painful

I bought my first HDTV after being at my parents' over Christmas break playing games on their (SD) 37" TV. At the end of the break I went back to school and couldn't stand to play on my 20" anymore. That was like 6 years ago.

  19. Yes, being silly because "can run games" was pretty broad. We even have LeapFrog devices that "can run games," albeit with an educational focus. My syntax was off as I was referring to how app games are a dime a dozen. You have a million and such app games out there that you'd have to say the more intricate and polished games are living in a pile of shovelware where only the more commonly popular games get to bask in the sunlight. Those tend to be good games too, but what do we really know about the purchasing habits of app games and their respective devices? Maybe another factor into why Angry Birds is still a success is because, as a whole, tablet/mobile "gamers" really only require a few games on the device. And yeah, there are only two Infinity Blade games actually, but where I was confused was Infinity Blade: Awakening which is a book, or "novella."
  20. Just taking advantage of the "it runs games" argument. There has to be more than just the capacity to run a game. You showed some impressive app games, but they're also a dime a dozen and sometimes get pushed aside in favor of more simplistic and less "polished" games. Infinity Balde was that "AAA"-esque mobile game that was suppose to prove mobiles as a gamer's device. Wait, does anyone still remember Infinity Blade? Its three installments have grossed $23 million... BUT ANGRY BIRDS IS WHERE IT'S AT!
  21. Yeah, and my Nokia 3310 ran games too. I "get" this prediction, but it's still a prediction. I agree with the other comments about how, well, there are cycles to the industry. Adding new devices that can run a game hasn't exactly proven they'll maintain a new-found dominance over an older device. Putting your games on other devices adds profit, not so much an adaptive strategy to "shift" to the dominant platform.
  22. Amazon has been having their Lightning Deals for Video Games all day. I missed out on Dream Drop Distance for $25, but there have been a great few games/deals. Dead Island (360) for $15 sold out quick and the next one (as I type) is for the PS3 version.
  23. As far as I know, never, but it's still possible. I don't know what conditions would be required, but if it could be proven that the hurricane will affect voter turnout on Election Day, I wouldn't be surprised if we did have our first delay for a Presidential Election.
  24. I just don't see a true threat from tablets, much like how mobiles still stay in their corner of the market. If anything, they're another window of opportunity for developers who work on console games. Just recently we had that tablet Borderlands game, but I'm sure Gearbox isn't going to up and leave consoles to make Borderlands 3 a top-down tablet sequel. Heck, strategy guides on tablet have been a recent trend for console games. If anything, like tablets are to television, tablets could be a companion device for consoles. (And I'm pretty sure the PSP Go failed because of it being a strictly digital retail device that ostracized itself from the established PSP UMD library.)
