  1. Forgot all about Jabo0ody Dubs. His "Sticky Buddy" dub was the first I saw, and that sound effect he did sold me on the rest of his videos. Looks like I have 11 months of content to catch up on.
  2. There's a difference between supplementing your own filler between the established material of a children's story (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) versus injecting a loosely similar story of The Lorax as a form of exposition for your movie "The Lorax."
  3. W&S can attest to this too, but in the entirety of the movie, about 5% of it even relates to the book.
  4. Yep, I'm the sole reason and why Japan does this too. I'm such a sick puppy for ruining the industry. Now... GIVE ME YOUR ANGER! LET IT BOIL TO THE SURFACE! LET YOUR FURY FLOW FREELY! ANGER BEGETS ANGER! COME ON, SHOW ME YOUR RAGE!
  5. Dante Must Die difficulty is brutal, while Heaven or Hell is a thrill. The former, well, it makes even the weakest very strong and in bigger waves. Heaven or Hell, your guns and grab attacks are vital.

  6. I'm really tempted to pre-order because there's that smexy Gray Fox skin, sword, and art book if you pre-order from GameStop. Japan has all five skins as retailer specific, though the MGS4 Raiden skin has been a promotional item in the last few days. In the end I'll have to see where I am financial because you can guarantee all these skins can be purchased later. EDIT: To clarify, the United States seems to only have three of the five skins, and all you UK types will get all the skins in the game. GameStop has Gray Fox, Best Buy has White Armor (carry more health items), and Amazon has Inferno Armor (carry more throwing weapons).
  7. Skyward Sword wasn't that long ago, and the way I see games I also see animated shows. I mean, c'mon, you get some actors to yammer into a microphone while all the South Koreans work day and night drawing the frames. I GIVE IT ONE YEAR! But seriously, these major titles take both time and effort. Maybe if the Zelda team jumped right aboard Wii U dev kits after Skyward Sword hit store shelves we could be seeing more footage, but human beings have to breath (as long as we're not cyborgs before 2018).
  8. Watch Pirates of Silicon Valley instead. You get to see all of Jobs' dickitude and Gates' goofball mannerisms.
  9. Even if Darwin got a holiday, "personage" holidays (or whatever they're called) seem to have gone down hill in terms of importance. I remember back when Washington and Lincoln's birthdays were seperate holidays, but now it's President's Day. Then you have all the controversy of Colombus Day, and schools don't take time off for Martin Luther, though I would at least hope teachers discuss him and civil rights during that time.
  10. Demos for me are typically, "Yes, I get to play part of the game now!" I seldom use demos as an actual basis on whether to be interested or not. A demo that turned me away from a game: Resident Evil 6 A demo that turned me towards a game: Metal Gear Rising: Revengance. (Seriously, it might lack a proper tutorial, but it's pure Platinum Games quality!)
  11. It suffers from NMB syndrome, a.k.a. Needs More Bloom. Otherwise, it's gorgeous! I'll still keep my copy of Wind Waker on GCN (since I've learned from my past mistakes), but I'm a little more interested in GBA games coming to the Virtual Console. The one Zelda game I never owned and barely played was Minish Cap. Practically a year after it released I could not find a copy in both my town and the surrounding towns. It was like I had the worst luck and this was before I had my own credit/debit cards to do online shopping. If I'm going to spend near the same cost of getting the game off eBay, I'd like to put that money towards Nintendo. It happened when I got Metroid II, and while I don't necessarily regret the purchase, I could have had it on my 3DS with no problems a few months later. (You Ambassadors, with your Minish Cap game on your 3DS! )
  12. It's already a problem for the United States. Like I said in P4's status, drug cartels have a longer reach in the US then you might realize. It's not nearly as violent as it is on the border, but narcotics are sold in many states and that's why there is such a high revenue for them. While weapons are another concern, it's not like drug cartels solely get their weapons when they're hanging out in the States. In one of my college courses, a group presented on drug cartels and one of the requirements was to make a video. They interviewed a few people from Mexico or who had family there. I say a few because these interviewees were the only ones who would talk about drug cartels. The video up above isn't exaggerating when it says many people have died just talking about any single cartel. You know how in elementary school we were taught the dangers of gangs, but for the most part it was "don't join them?" Everything that might make you fear a gang, multiply that by a couple dozen and consider them like a PMC. A former classmate of mine is also a photographer and gets to do a lot of weddings. He was going to be payed a couple thousand to do the photos for a wedding being held in some town in Mexico close to the border. We kept warning him about how he had to be careful and watch where he drove. He blew it off and thought he'd be fine. You know, make it to the wedding, take photos, and head back home. Well, about a dozen or so miles away (from the wedding location) the next day there had been a shooting. He was fine and all, but he never believed any violent shootings or cartel activity would be happening in such a small town. It goes to show that you can't think yourself incapable of facing major travesty you've only seen on televised news.
  13. Dead Space 3 demo: It was pretty good until it froze on me after a cheap death. MGR: Revengance demo: It runs REALLY smooth, but prepare to get your butt handed to you because the tutorial doesn't do anything to help in combat.

    1. 「Advent Chaos」

      「Advent Chaos」

Took me like 3 playthroughs to actually get how to parry properly. Exact parrying (+ low enemy health) will enable a quick time event (Triangle+Circle) that will enable you to get into position for Blade Mode, mind you enemies juggled in the air are kinda hard to slash in their "square".

    2. 「Advent Chaos」

      「Advent Chaos」

I'm also surprised the MGR demo hasn't frozen on you yet, sometimes when I entered Blade Mode or cut something into too many pieces everything would freeze, but the sound.

      SixTwoSixFour

Really, AC? I played through that demo six times. I never had any freezing issues.

  14. Demo is out on PS3 tonight, so I'm downloading all 2GB of it with my crap Internet connection. As far as not being offered microtransactions, just don't push said button at work benches. Unless they're going to bombard us with microtransactions elsewhere, it doesn't seem that intrusive. Having watched (and loved) the Game Grumps episode of the demo, in their 35 minutes, they came across two work benches.
  15. Personally, I'm not too worried about the game "breaking it's logic," and this is about on par with ME3's multiplayer packs that you could either earn credits in-game, or just buy with real money. There's a market out there, and while I'll never throw money at it, people who blow their wallets on virtual items won't hesitate. Now, if there happens to be ridiculous upgrades that seem to only be viable if you were to purchase these components, then I'd be pissed. Think something like Kingdom Hearts' Ultima Sword where one item was from a certain enemy from a certain world has a drop rate of 10%. Don't want to do that? Drop five bucks.
  16. Carbon... Sulfur... What's the difference?
  17. Whenever PSN Store updates, get your buns on there for AMAZING deals. BIG discounts on games and movies! Finally going to get Jet Set Radio, and with PS+, it's $2.50!
  18. Oh lawd, I never realized outraged fans made a WhiteHouse.gov petition to change new Dante's look. Yeah, get the government to ban a videogame...

  19. The way I would rank the whole Shrek series (minus holiday shorts): Shrek Shrek 2 Puss in Boots Shrek Forever After Shrek the Turd Because while Forever After was unarguably better than the one before it, it still featured Shrek having orge issues and seems to suffer from "grass is always greener" syndrome. Really it goes like: I'm an ogre; who could like me, let alone love me. Uh, we're ogres. Do you really think they'll accept us and our love? I'm an ogre and because of that I need to find a brat to be king because I'm an ogre. Remember when people use to fear me and hate every once of me? Yeah, I wanna go back to that before I had a wife, a best friend, and offspring!
  20. Another potential buyer. If his credit checks out, and unless he gets swallowed up by Cthulhu, I should being out.

  21. It's on Amazon today for $34.99. Hindsight is always 20/20, but truth be told I had these coupons/certificates for a long while and I plan on getting Dead Space 3 and BioShock Infinite on Amazon, so can't say it was truly wasted. Besides, I got to use the rest of my gift card, and I don't want to find out what happens when you can't fully pay for an item online with one card. In stores, it depletes the gift card and gives you a new "total" price.
  22. Lemongrab was highly hilarious in this episode, but then he had to do that and keep myself emotional distance again. And Adventure Time has been really going on a farting rampage with recent episodes.
  23. Far Cry 3 I don't know when I'm going to get around to it because I still want to get all the keys/doors and a few trophies in DmC, and by then Dead Space 3 will be close at hand. Still, I got it for $35.15 tonight, even if all my coupons didn't work. So yeah, that's why I sometimes shop at Best Buy. It also helps that the employees there tend to forget to take down "sale" prices and you can technically get the item for the labeled price. If I had actually finished Brotherhood and Revelations, I would have gotten Assassin's Creed III for $35.
  24. Anyone use a MasterCard? Today only, use this coupon with your MasterCard over a purchase over $100 and save $50. It's today only, so I know this might be late for most of us. http://bfads.net/Hot-Deal/21881

Oh, and I realize I didn't mention this was a Best Buy coupon so my original status sounded REAL sketch because of how generic it sounded.

Because I can get easy discounts on new video games.

  25. I'm loving DmC more on Son of Sparda difficulty, mainly because the tougher enemkies allow me to string more combos and I'm getting REAL good with the Angel weapons.

I'm glad you're loving the game. It's nice to see that not everybody hated it for superficial reasons and didn't judge it on its own merit.
