  1. Lucas could easily turn Star Wars to the horror genre. He seems to be headed on that path anyway.
  2. Off to take another exam, the catch being this will probably be the most bland and vague exam I'll have taken. Well, perhaps the final will be worse.

Do your best! It'll be difficult, but I'm sure you can do well on it. Good luck!

  3. I didn't realize it, but today is Columbus Day. Not that there's anything special given the perspective revolution to Columbus himself. To me, I find it all silly. I know of the dozens of people who cry out "monster," but I once heard a woman claim that the 15th century explorer haunted her children's dreams.

It was on the local news years ago about the contention between Italian-Americans and Native Americans about Columbus Day. A Native American woman claimed that Christopher Columbus haunted her children's dreams.

Me thinks it was her turning him into a bogeyman that caused her children to have nightmares of a 15th century monster man.

  4. I finished at about 3 hours and 51 minutes, so I got that "under 4 hours" trophy. Truthfully, it probably took me nearly 6 hours given how the last section is one continuous survival trial until the boss. That and the stupid water tower section. I can't imagine how one can complete the game in under two hours.
  5. Red Steel 2 is, uh, you know, good! if anything, you could get yourself the golden controller for the extra $20 if you don't have that many Wiimotes. I only have two and that's enough in my opinion. Otherwise I think you could get the attachment for dirt cheap given how it's obsolete with the tech now built in to the controller.
  6. I think I might be bias here, but I voted for the OoT/MM style. I don't hate the Wind Waker artistic style, but if I had a preferred vision of a Zelda game, it would lean towards a more realistic/human Link & Co. It almost bothers me sometimes to look at a character in the WW style because their body tends to be 70% abdomen and waist, whereas the rest is made up of tiny legs and arms with an egg head. However, when Skyward Sword debuts and I give it a good run, I might change my vote to that style. It's like a good mix between the two, and if I may say, it harkens back to the early Zelda games as far as the illustrations.
  7. Yeah, it's traditional, and boy do I dislike it. Friday is such a magical time, especially when it happens to be payday!
  8. I've only seen about eight episodes of Breaking Bad, and I really like it, just I don't have much time to watch television. The season finale though... HOLY CRAP THAT WAS AWESOME!

  9. Long, long ago. Like, Wind Waker long ago. If it's still the same, you keep your receipt and they should have a copy saved for you. I don't know if they keep a name on it or anything, so save that piece of paper! I would hope they do save a copy for you. One reason I tend to be hesitant about pre-ordering at major retail stores is because an employee might simply grab a copy off the shelf. Maybe this is because they can get away with it for less popular titles, but the whole idea is to also reserve a certain number of copies.
  10. I seriously don't want to do homework. I have another presentation on Monday, which is because we went alphabetical, but I was second to last and now we're going in reverse. Since I was also postponed five days with my first presentation, I have a grand total of five days.

  11. I'd pay $50 for a Zelda game... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bw4uj_ZPHvY
  12. Been bargain shopping. I finally got around to getting the last volume of the 2008 Gurren Lagann DVDs, but I'm mainly looking at pre-order bonuses. Seriously, even with my distaste in GameStop, most other US bonuses for AC: Revelationsare mediocre. Arkham City is either a tie between Amazon or Best Buy. I went with Amazon, but Best Buy has more content while I got $10 credit.

  13. Pen (Adventure Time creator) + Pokemon = Happiness in every blink of the eye!
  14. You know how stock images of gamers are usually awkward/hilarious/WTF? Take a look at some of these, but most importantly, the last one puts Nintendo's pedo-gramps to shame. http://games.ign.com/articles/119/1198344p1.html

  15. B) I can't wait until you watch FLCLimax (last episode).
  16. It's not like a lot of people (aside from Apple "enthusiasts") are crying and breaking down over the lose of Steve Jobs, but as Mal said, he was an icon in the computer industry. Yeah there are probably a lot of people who have no clue about his actual influence, but as one of my friends put it, it's the death of "a great salesman." He kept the perception of Apple, of what it is today, alive for anyone with a Mac and/or iPod. I mean, I could rattle off a couple of things that paint Jobs as a complete dick, but then again I should probably refrain from casting stones.
  17. Yeah, there's nothing really punk about the pillows. I think the only song you could slightly classify as "punk" is Addict, but that's for about a minute of the song itself.
  18. Bingo. I never liked the man but I certainly respected him. " ", a.k.a. Ditto.
  19. Well, remember that the FLCL original video animation (OVA) began April 2000 and didn't finish until March 2001. The series didn't air on Adult Swim until August 4th, 2003. Considering the entire series is 6 episodes long, it didn't take long to run the entirety on US television. Anyway, the point I want to make is that the music is primarily from "the pillows," a band who's alternative/power rock music associated with the series existed in the 90's. So if it's "punk," it's Japan's music from the 90's; in comparison the US was more into grunge after having experienced "rap rock" and was soon to experience the boy band craze.
  20. I thought maybe the DJ on the radio was pulling my leg when he said Steve Jobs pasted away. Hmm... Don't know how to feel. A man has died, though one of douche caliber, yet his influence did bring about good things.

  21. If this is anything like the McDonald's Monopoly online game, it's not so much "rigged," but tossing a coin (or rolling dice, i.e. Monopoly) are not going to have realistic probabilities. Depending on how many prizes are felt, and pretty much any other stat is going to determine the "probability." Last year, I must have gained a few pounds packing away McD's simply because of the "idea" I could roll a pair of dice and could land on a remaining property piece. You know, except that the dice would away cause me to land on previous obtained property.
  22. Went to "the store" to get AA batteries since the apartment's remote is practically dead. Through my amazing abilities, I happened to purchase AAA instead. FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

you never put new batteries in a RC! Use hand-me-downs from a high drain device and put the new ones in that.

I haven't bought batteries in a long time. Most everything I own is rechargable. The DirecTV remote, which I do not own, but use has been dead. To use the television for PS3 purposes, the remote needed to live again.

None of the other roommates cared, somehow living with a remote that doesn't work. Then again, they're pretty frickin' lazy.

  23. That part is what convinced me to watch the series when it first premiered on Adult Swim. Only a few cartoons from my childhood ever broke the 4th wall, mainly Animaniacs and Freakazoid! To have the characters go into a conversation literally outside the main premise to discuss the technique of slow motion... MIND BLOWN!
  24. I remember beating that guy for the first time. I got lucky... Your last chance is pretty much in that elevator room with a few more of those tanks. He followed me in and was about to kill me before I got on the elevator. For the most part, it's like Dead Space. Nothing really "piss my pants" scary, but you'll face moments where you're saying to yourself, "Man, I really don't want to go through there." Pretty much my thought whenever I go through the hedge maze, or have to fight those frickin' insects.
  25. Yo, Dean, I gots a question! Is it possible for my animated GIF avatar to be animated outside of my profile? Is it some weirdo forum software problem? WHY?!
