  1. Oh awesome! I can get Ico & Shadow of the Colossus AND Uncharted Dual Pack for $60. Actually, with all the games coming out fourth quarter, I think I'll go shop at Kmart for once and get the $15 coupon.

  2. Might just be able to get an Xbox 360 250GB for 50% off. Knowing eBay though, last minute bidders are going to make it 5% off. :(

I've won before, exactly by last second tactics. Just, you know, it becomes a stressful bidding war that only saves you a few bucks in the end.

I've won only by last-second bidding. Any other way results in infuriating losses.

I only bother with eBay on things I absolutely can't get anywhere else for a reasonable price, like SNES cartridges. I'd rather buy most other things from Amazon than fight for them on eBay.

If it's for used items though, I'm more comfortable with eBay since there can be real photos of the product. I got a seller on Amazon to send me pics, but most sellers tend to be businesses which have "more important" things to worry about.

  3. FDS said it before, but I guess I'll say it too. If there's ever going to be a Kingdom Hearts HD collection, the games have to be Final Mix. That also means we would have Re: Chain of Memories. Forgot to pick that up back on the PS2. (I still have the original GBA version though!) So yeah, if an HD collection ever does happen and the games are the standard editions, I'm sticking with my PS2 copies.
  4. Eh, might as well post this as there has been some rather large momentum. http://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/film/5676677/Hobbit-hopefuls-long-trip While I know one of them, though they're all in advertising with me, I never really bothered to learn more about their desire to be extras in The Hobbit. I figured many other fans of J.R.R. Tolkien's work, especially The Hobbit, would be up to something similar. The difference has been http://roadtotheshire.com. While I'm not quite sure how widespread their success has been in the last few months, aside from fellow fans, the article above shows that there are even people in New Zealand that would like the trio's dream to come true. The only downside is how a spokesman for Peter Jackson, a Mr. Matt Dravitski, pretty much has taken a "realistic" approach saying anyone outside of New Zealand has no chance.
  5. You know how I use to complain about my roommates? College Humor made my new favorite video.

My new roommates are ghosts. I have seen them, but they're always busy with something else.

      Wow.

As awkward as I think I am, I believe I don't fall into any of those categories.

I guess I'm more normal than I thought I was.

My most recent roomate is a cock. Not met the others since I went back to my parents place for a few days... Hopefully they're a bit more tolerable.

  6. Yeah, but she really became straightforward once she was around other mutant men. After she decided to stop giving Hank/Beast a chubby every five minutes, she got naked in Erik's/Magneto's bed. Oh, and then decided on being naked in front of Xavier. That whole thing with Xavier too. In the beginning Raven's talking about "would you date me" and before that she became jealous of the girl receiving Xavier's attention at the bar. It makes some sense given how long they've known each other, and he had been the only other mutant in her life. Though, fast forward to the naked bit I talked about and it seemed like Raven was making a subtle statement on how Xavier didn't "love" her.
  7. X-Men: First Class It's a really really good movie, but I wouldn't consider it the best superhero movie. I know there are people who want a certain "cheesy" element to their comic book movies, but I don't particularly care for the "lolwut" moments. I think it's mainly because I feel like the movie was trying to show off its different special effects. I can't blame them when your cast is filled with powerful mutants, but a little self control can go a long way. Also, I couldn't help but feel like there was some subtle fan service. Not the "oh, that's a reference;" I mean the abundance of half-naked women. Well, not so much that but Raven/Mystique pretty much being in heat the entire film. Gets a needle in her arm and wants to make out that instant. But seriously, I would say it's in my Top 10 of superhero films.
  8. It seems my awesome doctor was right. The thumping/pounding in my ear is pretty much gone. I'll still take some decongestant pills for a few days to make sure, but otherwise I'm getting make to "normal." Bad news? All my roommates are sick, but my immune system can beat it. Yeah for getting sick a lot as a kid!

Wrong my friend. It is you who has deceived your true self. Bananas are the Key to The Answer. Thanks to the Bananas you have now recognized your true self.

    3. RockyRan

      RockyRan

Bananas didn't help you because you didn't trust them. They became offended, thus refused to lend their magical healing powers for your auditory sensors.

You have to learn to trust the banana....to love the banana....

  9. I haven't really bothered to read every post, but I only have one point. In my experience, I would say that more people would swarm online to leave negative feedback than positive feedback. If it's negative, usually it's because there are a few things the user might want to complain/argue about in their fit of rage. You also get the users who are on a "first week" high, but I've always had the strong impression that most people will leave positive feedback to their friends, offline or online, rather than go and rate it on a website. It's something like... "Oh man, this game is really good! I've got to tell Joe and Bob about this game!" vs. "This is ass! I can't believe I wasted my time and money on this crapfest! This game needs a lower score (either for "warning" or "spite")!"
  10. True, I realize that there were ways you could get around them... Also, I when I was in a "questing" mood, I had chosen to get the biochip.
  11. Finished the game tonight... or should I say "early morning." Short and simple, the majority of the the time I was stealth and hacking. Still kept my weapons upgraded and had: heavy rifle, 10mm, machine pistol, P.E.P.S., tranquilizer rifle, stun gun, but then I dropped the P.E.P.S. for the plasma rifle. I was one upgrade away for both a fully upgraded 10mm and machine pistol. As for the last level (and boss):
  12. Didn't the first have mixed reviews? Some would say it was good, but others would say it was terrible. Kinda the odd duck in a series that would have to try hard to be awful now. Maybe I'm assuming, but given how well-received the second game was, there could be a significant portion of gamers who have a collection similar to mine: Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood with Revelations pre-ordered.
  13. I've got a total of $200 for B-Day. WHAT SHOULD I GET?!

Duke, give me a 360 and I'll get Gears 3. If I had a little more, I would be down with getting a 360, but I would be pretty much blowing most of my checking account on one.

Happy birthday! Invest it in altria. **boring ol' man**

  14. Yeah, it's only for the first production run. No word on whether the first game will have any trophy support; some assuming it won't because that would require "effort" on Ubi's part.
  15. I've noticed a few of us have posted the PS3 cover when reserving Revelations, so this should be pretty amazing news: You'll receive a free copy of the original Assassin's Creed. I started with AC2, for $5, and I received Brotherhood as a gift. Essentially I've spent about $73 on this four game trilogy. EDIT: It seems you can't directly link to GT news articles without the forum formatting it into a media link.
  16. Arkham Asylum had an anti-piracy measure where Batman couldn't glide, correct? If this is about piracy, I'm sure the same measure could be implemented in another fashion for Arkham City. Otherwise, it might be a legit delay for some technical reason. Maybe something stupid, but legit.
  17. Primary care doctor says that the thumbing in my left ear is sinus pressure. I did something, somehow, to create some build up. Anyway, he ssaid he's 95% sure it's that, otherwise there's a really small chance it's something completely screwed up that a specialist will have to inspect. Talking decongestants and praying it's gone in a week.

I had a wax clog in my left ear once, right next to the ear drum.

That was some horrible fucking pain because I waited too long to do anything about it.

  18. Got a REAL doctor's appointment tomorrow. I swear, this one better not say "eat a banana."

Vargras, I know why he said to eat a banana, but that's all he did. I went out and got my own supplements on a whim that it was a spasm. After nearly a week, the thumping has only become worse. Right now, 2 + 2 = fish.

Well that's because you saw Dr. Zaius, silly!

  19. I did that side quest where you knock out Diamond Chan and drop him off the roof. I wonder if that technically counts as a kill, which in my opinion is rather a hilarious kill as you never pick him up, but instead drag and push him off his apartment building.
  20. I'm not shooting my weapons, but I already know I'm not getting the pacifist trophy or whatever because I shot people dead in the tutorial level. Still, that's because going in guns blazing is practically a death wish. Now that I have a silencer, I might leave a few... accidents around.
  21. Words can not describe this game. Instead, a video of one boss battle will suffice. If this turns out anywhere "good," then consider this my dream game.
  22. I've already helped that guy, so I guess those emails and pocket secretaries are pointless? I mean, it was pretty straight forward to break into an apartment and at the end beat up two dealers. Would the side quest have gone different if I answered another way?
  23. UCK! I thought I've had grapefruit juice before, but I know I haven't now because of how awfully bitter this liquid hell juice tastes.

Atomsk you probably have had grapefruit juice before, and enjoyed it. The joys of changing tastes. I used to absolutely hate mushrooms.

    3. TheFlyingGerbil

      TheFlyingGerbil

pink grapefruit juice is less bitter so you may prefer that. I love both though.

    4. FMW

      FMW

Yeah, make sure you aren't drinking the white stuff, that's bitter as hell. Also, try drinking it right after working out. I often get a craving for grapefruit juice when exhausted. Might work for you too I guess.

  24. To get back to the actual game, I've got a question. In Jensen's emails, there's one where somebody suspects another employee of "augment rejection" drug theft (I can't remember Neuroph-whatsit). Anyway, I've followed the trail to the one office you can enter through an air duct, but I haven't found anything else to go on. I'm wondering if this is a waste of time as no actual side quest has been activated.
