  1. Ah, no Ratchet & Clank? Well, it's WipeOut and SuperStarDust for me then.
  2. Yeah, I'll probably go with WipeOut and R&C too. On the PSP end, I guess I could bother with LittleBigPlanet PSP and take a stab at Killzone Liberation.
  3. I wish it was a certain friend's birthday coming up. She's a fan of FLCL too and I would love an excuse to buy the series on DVD again. This time though it would be incredibly cheaper. My Ultimate Edition cost me about $65, but now the entire show is $30 in the FUNimation collection.
  4. As in when I'm doing the tutorial in Portal 2, everything is there. I "sleep" and when Chell wakes up in the room "99999..." days later, half (if not most) of the objects are missing. Like, for example, the television though the screen is still there. Wheatley's maintenance rail, the floor, the walls, and etc. I've fixed the issue though. I had to fiddle around with the settings, and for the most part the game runs alright. Framerate kinda chops up, but that's my fault for not anticipating the idea I would be gaming on this laptop of mine. I worry about larger areas though as the beginning became out of sync. I did fix it during the time, but I had to wait for the video and audio to catch up to each other.
  5. This might double for the "PC gaming vs. Console gaming" as well, but probably more for a "random PC douchebags make PC gaming confusing and hard" kinda angle.
  6. Portal 1 runs fine on my laptop, that is, as long as I window the game screen if I want to change the voulme. Using the volume keys on my kepyboard causes it to crash (for real).

Can't you just leave the volume as is? Also windows requires more resources.

Sometimes I want to turn it down so I can hear what exactly my roommates are yelling about. Otherwise, yeah I would leave volume alone.

console command Volume (space) number to change volume in-game

  7. Am I to assume the Team Fortress 2 "Beta" is something old hat and should not be bothered with, and etc?
  8. It's like when Michael from The Office gets away with throwing dozens of parties a year with the corporate budget, i.e. The Dundies
  9. I think that if I ever get another laptop, you know, six years from now, I'll definitely pay attention to its internal components in regards to gaming capabilities rather than overall performance (though that's important too). While some of you guys are talking about keeping consoles around for their unique experiences, I think I'll be the opposite. I'll pretty much never abandon consoles, that is, if they hold up on their end. The only games I plan on playing on the PC platform at the moment are the Valve games. Though, probably the biggest perk is that I'll get to play the games that have eluded me on the 360 platform. Speaking of advantages, I have to echo Mister Jack in that the PC gamers who saddle up on their high horse for miniscule reasons need to reflect. Perhaps that group feels like PC gaming isn't as big a part of the industry with the flood of console support? That whenever there's a weakness on the console side of gaming, they have to be the shining beacon of PC gaming everywhere.
  10. So I did a video driver update, and while the thing said it wasn't compatible (4200 when it's 4250), there is a difference. PC stuff, man...

I dunno, man. THIS IS FREAKING ME OUT, DUDE!

  11. I didn't get an email to change my password. On the console, I simply created a new one, logged in with said password, and I was signed in to PSN.
  12. I'm jumping into the PC gaming boat right now, or I'm at least trying. See, for me, it's easy to be a console gamer. I have a console, and I get games for it. No other expenses unless I want to purchase some goofy peripherals and extra controllers. Right now I'm trying to play a little Portal 2 on my PC. I can't run the game on the highest settings, which I figured from the start. Thing is, when I turn down the settings, all of a sudden I'm missing objects inside the game! Either I turn up some settings, lag, and become out of sync; or I lower settings, have no lag, but have over half the graphical objects disappear. See, I'm not as hardware savvy about computers as I am about networking and other attributes relating to computers. Hence I've never liked the idea of having to upgrade a PC. Just upgrading my PS3's HDD was like an operation in my eyes. I couldn't comprehend casually cracking open my laptop and jamming components in there. I'll have to experiment, but I hope I can get Portal 2 on my PC running at a nice middle ground. I'm glad I finished it on my PS3 so that this isn't as big of a problem.
  13. Alright, it should be Sheikah88 now. I am out there, but Dean's method (in the Portal thread) doesn't work in finding me.
  14. OH CRAP MASSIVE WEST HALF PSN ACTIVE!

  15. What's even more ridiculous is that we're (my roommates and I) not all white. I guess only black people can watch black entertainment. I wonder, if I were to watch anime, if he'd say that I can't because I'm not Asian.
  16. My other crazed roommate has called me and some of my friends "wiggers." I merely suggested that there might be something on BET because me and my old roommates occasionally watched the channel. Supposedly, any white person who watches any black entertainment is a "wigger" in his mind's eye. I probably shouldn't be surprised that today he has joined the ranks of the "Birthers."
  17. Not very likely as access in the US is going state-by-state. Signed-in to post the regional map on the PlayStation Blog. Link-kun! EDIT: I almost fell out of my chair when I saw half of the US update a few minutes ago!
  18. I'd forgive Wheatley, would you?
  19. I saw the article last night, and while I commend them for going out and building a device, even the IGN commenters knew how off-base the idea of making a "Wii 2" is. In fact, the IGN staff members who were a part of the project themselves note that their device isn't going to be nearly the same because of the unique components Nintendo will pack into their console.
  20. I'm updating right now. In fact, at about 50% installed!
  21. So I caught my roommate using the bathroom without the lights on. Yes, even turning on the lights is too much work for him.

HE HAD THE DOOR OPEN?....my mother is was like that. Except she'd have the light on too ugh

  22. Never played Warhawk, but I'm interested in this one.
  23. Yeah, probably. If I could get a girl like Erin, that would be very nice.
  24. Operation "Move PS3" was a success! Operation "Lady Friend" was not such a success. :'(

I had ice cream, and I have yet to setup my PS3 in my room. Just having out of "his" hands is enough for a success.

There are other chances Atomsk, keep your head up and level up. As for the PS3, well allright! Watch as the wild roomie stalks the PS3, like a documentary

A general rule I've found is that, as anticipation of lady friend success ramps up, the actuality of it working goes down in direct proportion. Basically: when you're not expecting anything to come along/happen, your chances are highest. You'll be fine bro ;)
