  1. I'll be finishing up co-op tonight, so if there's anyone who hasn't played yet, (possible) hold up! There's a trophy/achievement for playing, as an expert (through completion), with someone who hasn't played at the beginning. Of course, if I haven't finished tonight, just go ahead and play. I'm not going to stop (if I could, lol) people from enjoying this game. A warning though: do take a break. I went from Course 1 to Course 4 in one sitting with a friend, and those last few Course 4 chambers were kinda brutal.

    Apple

The only Android phone(s) I have experience with, more so brand, is Motorola. Those definitely have a different "look 'n feel," even with an app drawer. I was going off the posted image, primarily the right one. Just move a few icons (menu "dots," time, etc) and you would have something similar to an iPhone. Obviously there's more to it, but Apple might have some footing in their suit against Samsung if a portion of the phone does have "look 'n feel."

The UI is dangerously similar to Apple's, even with a few tweaks. I just wish, whoever is responsible, would take more effort in separating their design from the concept of "Better iDevice." You know, something along the lines of, "It handles like one, but operates better. I swear!"
  4. Has anyone, with a PS3 version, been successful with the "First Time Sign-In" once you've linked your two accounts in Portal 2? I would be willing to say I'm probably the only one here who just got Steam because of Steamworks via PS3.
  5. We do have GTA on the Nintendo DS, though it's more similar to the early top-down GTA games.
  6. I think Portal 2 is worth the $59.99 price. Just the fact that I can play with people on PS3, PC, and Mac with ease is worth some kind of monetary appreciation. I've almost completed the co-op campaign with an old friend, but trust me, going through a marathon of the 4 out of 5 courses gets to you. We'll finish it next evening. I'm almost done with single player as well. I'm kinda stuck however... Kinda sucks that PSN is down for maintenance because I wanted to try my PC copy. My Steam ID is, since I signed up on PS3: Sheikah88 (So yeah, just like my PSN ID)
  7. Truly my greatest shame because of how much of an idiot I was to believe I was purchasing a quality title. Years ago I was really into racing games like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 and Burnout. At the time it looked like it might be an interesting take on the racing genre... NO! Even the videos of women dancing were terrible! Well, there was actually one attractive woman, but I guess she had enough class not to be such a whore on camera and so she had fewer videos. EDIT: Found a replacement image.
  8. If I'm going to post my Portal 2 game(s), I'm going to be creative.
  9. The employees acted like they knew me, but I've only met one of the guys once before. Never met the girl, but she was so glad to see the familiar faces. I guess I made an impression last night because I got a call basically saying, "Yeah we kinda screwed up so we've got a $10 gift card for ya." I guess I'll make one more purchase at Gamestop. Ten bucks is ten bucks.
  10. I've played almost all of Portal 2 co-op today with a friend. Thinking with portals is metling my brain!

  11. After the crap I went through for the last four days, I'm going to REALLY enjoy Portal 2.

  12. If you will, I have a rant for the midnight launch I attended. I'M NEVER SHOPPING AT GAMESTOP AGAIN, SO SORRY CHEWY BUT THE EMPLOYEES WERE A BUNCH OF WORHTLESS BAGS OF MEAT! I blame myself for getting to the store 40 minutes early, in which there was nothing to do. That's alright, except for the fact that there was an attempt to make the thing an enjoyable event. Say, how many GameStop employees does it take to use a stereo? Four, and in the end it was because they didn't have the volume turned up enough. Because this was also a Mortal Kombat midnight launch, I had the pleasure of listening to a bunch of needle dick high school burnouts. It was truly glorious to listen to how they use condoms and how the other was so gay. Finally, the time arrived to get in line and receive our games. "Um, hold on we just need to... um, find the names... Well, here's..." Yeah, they didn't think to organize the games before telling everyone they were ready. You're not ready when you've got to spend two minutes per customer simply to find a pre-ordered copy of a game. Oh, and I was a special customer. By chance, the employee I had pre-order a copy for me is the stupid, even among his fellow employees who admit to it. I told him I wanted the PlayStation 3 version of the game, and he even repeated the platform to me. "The SKU is for a 360 copy." I said, "Alright, just swap an unmarked copy and I'll be on my way." No, she said, "We have to run it as a return, and we have to process the new version and it'll be a few seconds." Five minutes later... I said, "Hey, not to be rude, but exactly how many more seconds do I have to wait just to get a PS3 copy of Portal 2?" Response: "We need to use the computer because... um, it..." Finally I get a guy to, heaven forbid, finish serving me and all it took was some key strokes and I had a PS3 copy.
  13. Heading off to pick up my PS3 + PC copy of Portal 2. If it's crazy, I'll record it.

  14. Took final at 7:00 a.m., got back and fiddled on Internet, slept for five hours only to be woken up by roommates sing-yelling along to country songs being played at intense levels.

      Country songs?

      Fucking kill them all.

Country music isn't bad... if I wanted to annoy people... I'd pull this one:

  15. Probably some Resident Evil games, and Valve games too. "...complete global saturation... /sigh" "Seven minutes... seven minutes is all I can spare."
  16. I've been working a lot lately, to the point that I can't properly bend my legs. What's worse is there's a final coming up in about nine hours, and then more work...

  17. Spider-Man 2 It really is that good (of a movie game).
  18. Rio I'll keep this short. It looks great, it sounds great, and it definitely has a lot of funny moments. There are some moments where it can be weird rather than funny, and Will.i.am's musical banter can sometimes be unwanted. Still, I would say it was a really good movie. The ending was obvious, but when you have viewed so many of these films, it's more of the journey than destination. That, and it is true that Spix's Macaw are critically endangered. EDIT: Also, Nigel is a great villain. He's the cockatoo, and seriously, he's a menace to everyone.
  19. That's the role playing disc. The one that lights up, a.k.a. more expensive disc, is something I personally would never toss in a disc golf game. Might glow in the dark however, though my memory is a bit fuzzy.
  20. Saw Rio not too long ago, and you know what, it's another movie I really like that critics loathe.

How does one play a guitar cord? Seems like a strange insturment.

Power chords, on the other hand, get me pumped up.

You take the cord between your legs, hold it one hand and strum with the other.

You can get such a wicked rash when you go wild!

  21. As far as (gaming) history has taught me, it's actually time for someone to begin discussing their new home console. The Wii launched, at the earliest, on November 19, 2006. If the late 2012 date is accurate, the Wii could possibly become six years-old. Aside from launch, Nintendo had been talking about a new console months beforehand, and the rumors were also months before that process. With the insane cash flow in the first half of the Wii's life cycle, I would think that gave Nintendo enough finance to jump-start R&D for a next-gen device. Of course, perhaps a good portion of said finance was used to make the DSi, and now the 3DS. Anyway, as far as graphics, I still stand by that gameplay is far more important. I feel like the motion controls were the attribute looked down on most by critical gamers and reviewers. Any true gamer can get past petty polygons and see a game for what it is: gold or feces. That, and I fall under the camp of: style > power
  22. This is just like one of my Japanese animes! According to this thread, Otacon is truly not an otaku!
  23. I'm about to die. Apart from the bathroom chemicals, the pubic hairs around the toilet, and crusted nastiness; well, I am exhausted! Really, I only got about three hours of rest. Not sleep, but rest.

  24. I might just spend the whole night cleaning part of the apartment. Our landlord is very anal about keeping the complex sparkling clean.

  25. You might have already seen the shorter version, which gets to the point, but here's the father's story in an extended version. If you haven't, basically, a little girl pledges her allegiance to THE DARK SIDE!
