  1. Could I have a wolf companion? People all excited for Gjallarhorn this and Gjallarhorn that, but I want to be a Hunter decked out in wolf attire and have a wolf.
  2. I forget to read it at times since it's monthly. When I heard they actually got to the basement, I read through it. It confirms a few thoughts the fans have had, but it leaves just as many questions.
  3. I heard of items dropping higher, but at the same time nothing too high. I'm sure once you play through your first two story missions you'll have something higher.
  4. The only thing I'm tempted by is the new Platinum headset. Still, until my Gold headset falls apart, I won't be upgrading.
  5. The Jungle Book I had to think a little if I was going to put this in the OK thread, but ultimately I was never bored and was pleased throughout the whole affair. It's more low key to the animated film, which plays as a strength when the moments are serious. Yet, when the movie is having its lighthearted moments, it's not as energetic. I liked that the wolves were not just a one-off segment and the elephants had a majestic quality to them here. Truly my only beef with the film is that they quote Law of the Jungle too much. Loses its power as an eternal code and becomes a team chant.
  6. Also, his post is above all of ours, so he has the high ground. Nothing beats the high ground.
  7. There are actual definitions to Gray Jedi and Dark Jedi in the EU. Also, much like the Jedi, the Sith were once organized with all kinds of trials and etc. Canonically, if you don't follow the ways of a Jedi or Sith, you're a Force user. There is a Dark Side, but if you're just an aggressive adversary, you can't be called a Sith because you're not adhering to the conduct of a Sith. Maul tried to emulate the Sith during The Clone Wars series, but Palpatine saw an end to that and put Maul in his place. Ezra is the only one who is close to being a true Gray Jedi as he doesn't properly adhere to Jedi traditions and is dabbling in the Dark Side. If he becomes corrupted by the Dark Side and actually becomes the apprentice of Maul, he would be similar to a Dark Jedi. If not, then he'll be a true Grey Jedi if he keeps his Dark Side abilities. EDIT: And Ethan is technically correct that Jedi is a catch-all title for the layman. Only a handful in the Star Wars timeline of Episode IV to Episode VII know what an actual Sith is and how it differs from a Jedi. Because of the Rule of Two, Jedi were the only public entities that were swinging lightsabers and doing "space magic."
  8. Not to brag, but I like to think I'm an amazing Symmetra. I only plays as her though when Defending on Numbani and Volskaya. Sometimes you can get away with practical Teleporter locations. However, now a days skilled players are experienced in locating the Teleporter if they know there's a Symmetra. It's why you either pick an atypical location or end up having to defend your Teleporter rather than the objective. What grinds my gears is when teammates don't use your Teleporter. Maybe they didn't notice because they're so focused on "gotta get there." Just, it's so painful to see a Roadhog waddling furiously to the objective when he could have been there 12 seconds ago!
  9. I was interested in Bound, but since funds are tight, I didn't want to pre-order it. It's definitely a game I'll have on my Wish List.
  10. If you haven't for Doom yet, GameStop has Doom for $19.99 on all platforms. For PC, it's for the physical copy, not download. http://www.gamestop.com/browse?nav=16k-3-doom,28zu0,133c-4f-162 I personally price matched elsewhere. Yesterday Amazon reps were telling people they weren't going to price match, but today both PS4 and Xbone have been reduced to $19.99. PC has not been in either format.
  11. I got distracted and I'm like 2/3 through my first playthrough. I think I'll be in a good spot for the DLC. I didn't play the final DLC for Dark Souls II because after a while you end up playing other games and can't retroactively be at your prime. It was the same for Bloodborne's Old Hunters. Hadn't played it for months and some fantastic and very difficult DLC comes out. It's like I love the game, but it's a hard sell for me to pick up an older game where you need end-game skill long after you've been away.
  12. The only Tank I enjoy playing as is D.Va. She's basically a tanky Tracer with good utility for the team. Had a perfect match as her last night where the entire team was on objective and pushing the payload. You're allowed to play vanguard and get rid of those pesky snipers and turrets. All the other Tanks I'm okay as, mainly Zarya and I feel she's only truly effective when you're playing with friends. Randoms tend to not make use of the barrier you're giving them, though they may have a valid reason, but you won't know. I use to play Mercy, but I'm strictly Zenny/Lucio now. When you need damage and pushes, Zenyatta. When everyone is grouping together and needs survivability, Lucio.
  13. I stuck with Naruto to the end because I had spent so much time with it, and in some way I got some enjoyment out of it. With Bleach, I stuck with it because it was almost always a quick read and, again, spent so much time with the series. For a long time, I suspected things were going to be forgotten and we'd be given plot holes for days. Not to mention Yhwach, much like Aizen, was such a bullcrap OP villain that kept trashing on Ichigo. "Herp da derp, I broke your sword once more! I have crazy future powers and reject your reality!" Also... Shinigami Babies
  14. Nah, believe it or not, much like Pokemon Go, older fans went back to watch the anime because Ash actually seemed capable of winning this time around. I myself watched the episodes surrounding the Kalos League and it's weird to see how much the show has evolved into an action-oriented shonen series. You've got Pokemon pulling off DBZ levels of fighting. Still, I wasn't holding my breath that Ash would win. I do believe Ash is always going to be written to lose every League simply to give purpose to him traveling to the next game's region. The only problem now is that because Sun and Moon don't have a traditional League, what's Ash going to be up to? It's why people were suspecting him to win as well, so that he could accomplish that and move onto something different. Not to mention the guy he lost to he has lost to two times before. Also Japan is crazy for Ash-Greninja, so this seemed like "third time's the charm." Stacked team and what not, but the show hasn't followed the rules of the game in many, many years. Pikachu beat two pseudo-Legendary Pokemon of all things, and Goodra is a legitimately good Pokemon in Gen 6, but Ash's seems to be a jobber.
  15. I, uh, pre-ordered Rise of Iron last night. It's a little over a month away and to this day I feel as though Destiny has the best FPS shooting mechanics. This is coming from someone who has been playing Far Cry 4 recently and gets frustrated at the clunky shooting of NPCs. I may pop on a little before the expansion to get use to the game again, but there's hardly a reason to be playing Destiny right now. Sure Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris are still around, but why bother when the new content is going to make the current stuff passe.
  16. So the game definitely took off in stores in my area as there's only a handful of copies left. I was shopping and overheard a guy saying he was looking all over town for it and GameStop had the last copy. However, I was just at a Best Buy recycling old tech and they had two remaining, but chances are a store associate forgot about the New Releases shelving at the front of the store. Point being that even Amazon is saying it'll take 1 or 2 days extra processing to ship out a copy to you. So that in mind I was getting more curious about trying out the game. But $60 is still asking for a lot and there are no Used copies yet (for a pseudo-rental) in my area, so I had a thought. What is the resolution to the game's only goal? What is at the Center of the Galaxy? If you don't want to know and play to your heart's content, I highly recommend not clicking on this spoiler. I mean it EDIT: Forgot to mention I saw this on YouTube, so that's how I know.
  17. The more No Man's Sky gets talked about, the more I want to try it. Like, I have my impression from what I've read and watched, but now I'm curious if it is something that I could casually play for the next few months. Only downside is that there's no demo, which is becoming more of a problem with modern games. Redbox doesn't have it and I'm not sure I feel up to going about the GameStop Used Refund route. (You buy Used and return it later that week for full refund.) Only option is Gamefly and I've never used the service. There's a free trial, but for just one game? Mmm.... yeah.
  18. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven. I Platinum'd the game tonight and the hardest trophies are the online ones as the online community is essentially dead almost two months later. It's not surprising as the online is so laggy that not many people went for the 5 online matches trophy even the first week. Didn't help that it was hidden and you get two trophies by only doing one 2v2 online match. If you go in only wanting to have fun, it is a fun as hell game. It's when you try to go for extras and meet certain conditions, that's when you start noticing flaws in its design. Luckily you can unlock everything in the game's Shop with the game's point system. You'll pretty much need to as some bonus conditions become impossible not because of difficulty, but because you can become over-leveled and absolutely wreck the AI opponents. The only challenge once everyone is max level are the free Add-on Missions that give you cool costumes (and stuff). These are the ones that can be hard to S Rank as some of the characters you play as are what you call "tech" characters. That means their moves are all about setting up moves and positioning. I left two of those missions sans-S Rank and unlocked the remaining two costumes with most of my points. So I would say I logged in roughly 40 hours into this game, but about 12 of those hours was purely in pursuit of the Platinum. It's one of those Platinum trophies where it's about dedication rather than reaching some skill ceiling. Also could I truly call myself a JoJo fan without getting it?
  19. I will admit the game at times is tempting with its visuals. My true concern is just how time consuming these types of games can be when all you're doing is collecting resources. It's why I left Minecraft back in its heyday even when friends would play it. I even remember getting Rust two years ago and one night realizing I just spent 10 minutes just running nowhere without gaining anything. That's why this game is so polarizing. Are you comfortable with material gathering and minimalist objectives, or do you prefer more complex mechanics with a set goal to reach a definite end?
  20. I'll be a pleb and get it on PS4. I got Human Revolution on PS3 because I only had a laptop at the time, and now I'll get Mankind Divided on PS4 because I don't have the funds to upgrade.
  21. I've been reading up on this multiplayer controversy lately. I never planned on getting the game myself, but I keep seeing news about the game. I suspect that the original intent was to have multiplayer, but later on they realized how little players would run into each other and that it wouldn't be worth the stress on their servers to keep so many players in the same instance of planets. That's just my quick assumption and the fact that two players were in the same location and couldn't see each other. I don't know why that would be server issues and not just single player design.
  22. What Ethan said. The trailer that was leaked is now officially out. Gaze upon the glorious Alola Raichu!
  23. I'm genuinely excited for Sun and Moon after all the leaked info. I also like the Alolan Forms and can't wait to use a Ice-Fairy type Ninetales. Only downside will be, according to the leaked info, the non-Alola versions will have to be transferred over from other games. Not really a big shocker at first as recent Pokemon games usually have made you work in getting old-gen Pokemon. If anyone hasn't seen the leaked info, I can always post a few things here if need be.
  24. I was thrilled when I was getting a few Eevees in a row, but you're out of luck when you don't have any more Pokeballs. There was even a Charmander when I was out, but thanks to no tracking or Pokevision, I couldn't find it. I didn't mind the Pidgey because I did need to evolve one to Pidegot, but you'd be surprised how even a Pidgey can give you trouble and you waste two or three Pokeballs on one of the most classically easy Pokemon.
