  1. I remember the episode linked, and exactly because it is dark. The next episode is linked where Henry gets out only because one of the other engines breaks down. He learns his "lesson" where now the driver will wipe him down after it rains. Certainly beats spending eternity in a tunnel as all the other engines mock you. Trains are jerks.
  2. There's only so much that nostalgia can take, especially when watching the English "version," not dub, of Digimon. For example, take this classic moment in the epic final battle of Series One:

I'm not sure if what I just watched is a parody or not.

  3. I don't watch Steam Train, and I find myself missing episodes of Game Grumps, but there are moments like this that make me wonder if it's worth watching a little Steam Train.
  4. Christianity: How America's Top 20 Churches Brand Their Message A friend of mine linked this on Facebook, so I took a look and it's actually interesting. It's not so much about the entire message of these churches, but when you go to their website, what imagery and message you'll see in a first impression. Some you'll see have a focus on church leadership, others on donations, either to the church itself or as humanitarian aid. What stuck out to me is how few have pictures of Jesus Christ, though that could be dependent on how each church sees the portrayal of their Savior. EDIT: This has a focus on Christian churches, so that would explain why you won't see other religions represented.
  5. I find myself playing more Skyrim than my other games. Maybe it's because of the amazing mods, traveling across a more vibrant Skyrim on my conjured Etheral Fire Horse, in my Silver Dragon armor, and with my bijin housecarl companion Lydia wearing Eisen armor. Oh, and everyone gets cloaks, which is cool.

      Silver Dragon armour?!

  6. BitFenix is great, just I don't need a full tower and that's where I think the brand excels. And I can always take off my "plate armor" tray cover. I admit it does looks out of place, but the inside layout and price make it good in my eyes. All the other simple designs I found were either entirely plastic or had some gimmick to it. Like, I don't think I'll be needing two eSATA ports on my case.
  7. Good thing it's actually metal (SECC) with only a ABS plastic front cover, so I'm okay with not shelling out $40 more for a square black box. @Revan When it comes to power supplies, function heavily outweighs aesthetics. You're essentially looking at the heart of your computer, so you don't need it to be an indoor laser show.
  8. $120 ($110 Sale) for a black box. I paid $80 for my case, and usually when it goes on sale you can grab one for $70. But I do agree, that power supply... don't get it, Revan. If you want LEDs in your case, you could add them in better ways. Usually case fans with LEDs is enough, but I've seen LED strips you can place inside your case. It's all a matter of how much you want the inside of your case to resemble a Chuck E. Cheese's.
  9. I'm going to give Killer is Dead a chance. Never bothered with No More Heroes 2, but my Wii is boxed away, so I'll go with that Suda 51 game instead.

  10. Pfft, I like my case. I might remove the product stickers I received with my components eventually because they're losing their "neat" factor. I was excited about my first build and wanted to display them, but my friend who helped me thinks they're distracting and a clean case is better. I'm beginning to agree. Still, there was no way I was going to pay past $100 for a case. All I needed was a mid-tower, but even then a lot of the cases I was finding were either cheap material or had some design gimmick. I like how the USB ports are lined up in front and not mixed around like with other cases. I have my Mic and Headphone ports there as well. Not to mention, if I'm going to be stuck with LEDs, I'd like red and the CM Storm Enforcer is one of two cases (under $100) that pulls off red LEDs. Otherwise, the inside has a great design for storage and cable management. My friend said he'd like it better if it had handles on top, but I've never thought handles would be a key requirement. If I want to take off the front cover, I can and doing so allows more airflow as the tray covers are a metal mesh design.
  11. I got DuckTales Remastered, but honestly it's kinda above average. I haven't played through most of it, but it feels empty in a way.

So far I'm finding it odd how disproportionate the characters are to the background. It also would of been nice to have moving mouths and animations when they talked but since it is a remake... it is fine.

I can't look at Duck Tales the same anymore. Not since the scientifically accurate video.

There's a scientifically accurate DuckTales?!?!? *goes on youtube*

      That was amazing.

  12. Thought I'd go ahead and post pictures of my first build. Rather than list all the individual prices, with the sales and everything, I ended up a little under $1,200 for my first build. OS: Windows 8 64-bit System Builder Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G45 Gaming LGA 1155 Intel Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHZ Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core GPU: MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PSU: Corsair HX Series 750W RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1866 Storage: Western Digital Black 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0GB/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B3ST SATA 24X DVD Burner CPU Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus Wireless Adapter: D-Link Wireless N 300 Model DWA-548 Case: Cooler Master CM Storm Enforcer Keyboard: Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire Rapid Mechanical Gaming Keyboard CherryMX Blue Additional Case Fan: Cooler Master Megaflow 200mm Red LED I already had my mouse and monitor, but if you're curious, they're a Razer DeathAdder and Samsung 22" LED HDTV. EDIT: Oh, and if you're wondering what that blue thing under it is, it's the free mousepad I got with my Intel processor. The thing is huge, so I'm using it to cushion the weight of my PC. The case already had risers, but they don't work on carpet. That is also why I'm using my leftover wooden shelves as support. EDIT-2: Forgot to fill out my wireless adapter...
  13. Basically if your PS3 isn't the original design, it looks like you have the same cable.
  14. Video of Mega Evolutions. Also explains the Torchic Mega Evolution promo.
  15. The difference between playing Skyrim from (barely) on Low to Ultra High is quite noticeable. I'm not sure if I'll get into any of the DLC, let alone fully get back into playing it.

    1. Waldorf and Statler

      Waldorf and Statler

Only reason I'm playing it again is cause I went from badly attempted spellsword to black vampire assassin albino dude. So much fun now.

  16. We should probably makes this our Pokemon thread. I mean, where else would I post about... Pokemon have Mega Evolutions now. Like, remember when Digimon had Mega Digivolution as that hidden ultimate form after... Ultimate Digivolution (mistranslation)!
  17. I do like Windows 8, but I honestly doubt I'm going to be using apps over an actual website.

Yeah, nobody does. Just don't, doesn't make the OS any worse.

    2. Faiblesse Des Sens

      Faiblesse Des Sens

^Basically. The only things I ever see people use (in screenshots, desktop threads, etc) is docking stuff like RSS feeds or music players off to the side.

  18. It definitely would not have worked. In the world of The Last of Us, no matter the amount of your hatred and/or villainy, you're not going to go chasing after a guy across the country. Once out of your territory, forget it. The only time something ends up reoccurring is by chance/fate, i.e. David.
  19. Man, when I saw/heard that remix earlier today, I nearly spit Dr. Pepper all over my laptop when it transitioned to, "I'm gonna learn ya how to play buttball."
  20. Ever feel like you're having a mid-mid-life crisis? Today I went over my life of the last ten years and I'm feeling kinda bummed.

  21. The Dennis the Menace one-off is worth it though. Starts a little boring, but becomes funny, and then becomes absolutely hilarious.
  22. Same, so maybe around the $20-$30 range, and if there's nothing else... Oh, wait, I'll probably have a PS4 at that time!
  23. Sorta an Internet peeve, but when people go into a rant about, "I hate my town/city/state, it sucks so much, so I want to move to LA/Chicago/New York!" I'm one fo those guys who can understand if a town does suck, but I think there's more potential to your local residence and culture than having to up and move to a Top 5 Most Populated City in the country. Yeah, there are great things about those cities, but you don't have to live there. I'm sure the things you're looking for in a city can be found in other cities. (Unless one of your desires is to see a Starbucks every two blocks, go for it.)
