  1. Strangelove, look... You and I are the same in the way that we have our own styles and we won't change. Yours is filled with evil and mine is not... THERE IS NO WAY I CAN LOSE!
  2. I won't have Infinite on Tuesday, lack of Release Day shipping, (I think maybe because it was the Premium Edition) but at the same time I don't have work on Wednesday. Unless I end up having to evacuate town, Wednesday is my day to explore Infinite (for a finite time).
  3. Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft.... Parrying system in Rising isn't bad and Sonic games NEED lyrics. Thunder, rain, and lightning. Danger, water rising. Clamour, sirens wailing... IT'S SUCH A BAD SIGN!
  4. Yo, as a heads up, The Search Pt. 1 (Avatar: TLA), is coming out sooner and you can already purchase it rather than pre-order. Get it soon because the price slightly jumped up from $6.03 (last night) to $6.21 (tonight). That's still 43% off, but I've seen it go up to around $7.50 in the past when you could still pre-order it. Retail is $10.99, so you'll still get a deal.

Oh, and this is Amazon I'm talking about. I forgot to mention that...

Yeah, I'd preorded it and last I looked it had said it should release like on the 26, and then yesterday I got the "your order has shipped" e-mail.

Ehhhhh. I'll eventually read it but I have no rush. The writing in the first comic series was a bit mushy.

  5. Would you ever consider being a cyborg, yea or nay?

Yes. If it means I'd be like Barry from Archer.

Would you download your brain into a computer? Or take it a step farther like Transmetropolitan and become just a cloud of particles that can form anything you can think of?

I'm with Ethan and Vecha. I'd like to have a badass body like Raiden's, but also be able to look human enough.

  6. Oh wow, I didn't realize it, but the cover of the PS3 version says it includes the first BioShock. Of course I've had that game since late 2010, and got it for cheap too, but at this point as a PS3 owner, you can can own all of BioShock for the price of Infinite. Well, so long BioShock 2 is still free for PS+. As for story leaks, I don't bother with them because you have to experience these things. Take some of the best games, maybe think of some experiences where you've tried to explain them to others, and think about how it sounds. So that first BioShock, you're a guy who found a lighthouse that led to an underwater city. There he finds people who gained mutant powers by a substance derived from sea slugs hosted in the bodies of little girls. Those little girls have giant metal guardians composed of human organs and diving suits. And, like, there's this line "A MAN CHOOSES, A SLAVE OBEYS!" It's really cool in context cause you're beating the guy to death at the same time.
  7. As much has been shown, since I can remember, she can handle herself. I think the design allows you to get into full-on gunfights without you having to worry about her health. She's more of an assist than an escort as she'll give you supplies and use her special power to materialize items from dimensional pockets. Not to mention, unless the game has changed, but we can expect moments when Elizabeth will be taken away from Booker.
  8. I missed the first few after the season break, but I'm remembering to watch it on Sundays now. We're catching barn syndrome again in the show. It's suppose to be engaging on a character level, but it's so ridiculous how indecisive half the cast can be, and how there's always a lead up to something big, but it has to be put on hold until who knows when. It's like walkers/zombies don't play a role in the series anymore, not to mention they must have mystical ninja stealth if walkers can pop up five feet beside you.
  9. I'm beginning to suspect that there's an agreement for reviewers to withhold their scorces for the week so there's a flow of consumers who buy the game on name alone. Watching the above video makes me not even want to rent the game for $2 to have my own experience of this... thing.
  10. I really like this video. It shows how, with dedication and a willingness to create a genuine personality, you can create a human being even if they only exist in a virtual space.
  11. Anyone going to bother with that Defiance beta? It's that game that will change, or something, depending on the television show. I would be interested, but it's a Syfy channel kinda thing.

It looked interesting but I'm going to take a wait-n-see stance on it. I don't want it to be another Brink.

Yes, I was one of the knuckleheads who bought Brink.

      Oh, its a beta? Hmmm...

  12. I liked the first one a good deal, but wasn't sure about a sequel. This trailer has given me hope that it'll be at least decent.
  13. That actually kinda freaks me out. Imagine seeing that, all still and junk, then "SQUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEE!!!"
  14. I only ever played the GCN game, though that was originally a Japanese N64 game. I played the crap out of the first, but after one of my money trees failed to sprout, I didn't completely pay all my debt and stopped after playing around half a year. Turns out I was just really lucky the first half dozen times and burying money didn't always work. I would have gotten a giant golden statue! The DS game, from what I heard at the time, blew away the GCN game with its features. I remember City Folk (the Wii title) did okay, but the few people I knew who bothered with it didn't think it added much more to the series. I might give this new title a chance given the 3DS capabilities.
  15. The CGI commercial was kinda cool in its own way, but Elizabeth and Booker looked different. To me, they both looked older. As in, Elizabeth is this almost-20 girl, but she looks late 20's. Booker has always given me this mid-30's "prime" vibe, but in the trailer it's like he's about to have his mid-life crisis. So everyone can see what I'm talking about, or if they didn't see it before.
  16. You know you've got a problem when the development team behind the Kindle App have to look into your problem. Basically, my phone has duplicated itself THREE times, but still acts as one device when you deregister any of the duplicates. It makes it hard to sync certain content and it's overall a pain in the neck.

  17. At least he played it, because I doubt I'll ever play it. I still haven't played Uncharted and I'm staring at it right now. Now if you need me, I'll be busy putting on my blindfold waiting for the firing squad to come a-knockin' on my front door.
  18. Only one more episode and my father will have watched all of The Last Airbender! It's Ember Island Players, so nothing crucial, but a hilarious recap for any series I've ever seen.

The day I get my parents to watch anything animated that is not a Pixar/Dreamworks film is the day I grow a vagina. I might be able to get them to watch a Miyazaki film but it'd be hard even then.

Ember Island is the best clip/recap episode I have ever seen.

Yeah my dad didn't watch in order because he got into it through the Nicktoons TV channel. There were times the scheduling was different, and even when I tried, he watched all of Sozin's Comet before even watching half the series. We pretty much got all most of Book 3 on TV, but I bought the DVDs because he began missing out on Book 1 episodes.

  19. Even if the game is currently $37.49 on Amazon, Survival Instinct looks like the definition of a rental game. To me, I'd like to see what was done, but honestly I think paying a few bucks at Redbox is just enough for curiosity.
  20. Oh-Ba-Di, Oh-La-Da, life goes on, brah!
  21. I've learned that Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen won't be available as DLC as the only way to get all the new content is to buy the repackaged game for $40. Oh, well how thoughtful of Capcom to at least allow transferring my save file to a $40 piece of DLC to play another disc.

Well it's been too long for me to remember very specifically, but it affected my play in a way that I found irritating.

It doesn't stay like that the whole way through, and she's pretty much a nonentity. The gameplay stayed just as badass even when she's introduced. It's a great game. And if you play 5 with a buddy there's no escorting and it's just damn great. (Although not horrorey in any way.)

Kenshi: What? It has a ton of horror. It's just not scary.

  22. Love the Awakened DLC. The main game wasn't really terrifying, sure, but this DLC actually had me scared. There were more visions, crazy cultists, disturbing imagery, and that guy... STANDING THERE!!! There was one moment where I hated the "hallucination" enemies as it was such a small room and everything was a shade of red, so I died once there. Given that when you play this you should have your beefed up weapons from the ending, so the challenge isn't really there. However... If you could ever compare Dead Space to Event Horzion, this is the moment... Take my hands so I may feed them... Take my eyes so I may see them...
  23. I imagine it's a play on the movies being on a Blu-ray collection. I've seen other films have "Sapphire Editions" and etc. Then you have Disney with their Diamond Editions, which I believe means "classic Disney film in Blu-ray + DVD combo."
  24. Can't take a break from Revengeance, because if I do, my skills against fighting each enemy type drop rapidly, i.e. "DA HELL, I know I can defeat you. I took out four of you in less than a minute last week!"

      Pojodin

I know how that goes. That's how I was back when I played Ninja Gaiden Σ2. I was not going to stop until I was completely done with it as I was afraid I would not be able to get my feel for the game back if I took a break from it.

  25. Personally, I still have these games, but in case no one here played both of these games, posting for the good news! The Zelda Oracle games should be available on the 3DS (outside of Japan) before summer! Considering one of the big draws to the games was the "Link System," there's something being done to ensure that stays intact for the 3DS. How else are you going to get all those extra heart containers?
