I've always stayed away. It's simply too much time and money to invest in something with not enough payoff. As far as I can tell MMOs aren't necessarily about great experiences but about keeping you just interested and busy enough to keep playing. That doesn't appeal to me. There's also the social aspect: As in it can become your social life. Humans need to be social to some degree to get by and I think that MMOs do provide that bare minimum. It might not be a healthy amount of being social but it's there.

I don't get what you're saying. Why wouldn't only something like Siri be disallowed when it's the reason for the security issue? Like I said, it comes down to what is being used, not the platform itself. Unless there's something even beyond CarrierIQ in place though people would have been shitting themselves about that already.

IMO the actual landscape of Westeros isn't very interesting. It's not boring, mind you with stuff like the Wall and how there's both a desert and a tundra on the same continent... but if I wanted to play any GoT adaptation I would want it closer to The Witcher 2 than Skyrim. It's all about the characters, the political plots, that sort of stuff. Speaking of accents: Agreed about Tyrion. Varys is also really great as was Illyrio from what I remember of rewatching the first episode. They really tried hard for that region's accent. My friend was letting me listen to the ADWD audibook and oh man... the guy who does that does an amazing Varys. I can't tell if it's actually good, or of it's just so entertaining that I don't care that it's bad.

Oh yeah! The State Farm one was obvious as well, especially since it looked like they just threw the signs up onto an abandoned building. Iron Man is like the embodiment of capitalism and the "America, Fuck Yeah" attitude, in some ways even more than Captain America. I can't imagine that there will be any product placement of ideologies outside of that. Captain America isn't like that at all. That's why those two characters always fight. Iron Man is the extreme version of modern America, whereas Cap is supposed to be the epitome of old America.

Finally saw The Avengers. A bit too much action but Josh Whedon worked with it well and always included great dialogue. The Acura product placement was the only obvious one to me as there were two different shots with Acura vehicles.

Not at all. It looks nice though. But my first thought was overall it looked very much like Ubuntu rather than Metro. @Slime What makes you think it looks bad? Why would it look good on a tablet but not a PC? If it looks good, it looks good. I also don't think it's a tablet interface. It's a grid instead of a list. It's not a drastic change.
