I don't think even the most amazing 8hr single player shooter experience would have swayed anyone who was jonesing for a 100hr plus Fallout 4 RPG experience. Totally different markets.

Bear in mind that there's other star cards and such that could well lend themselves better to Walker Assault which aren't available to unlock in the Beta. There's the Ion Torpedo unlock in Tatooine survival for starters which is likely effective vs AT-AT, AT-ST and possibly TIEs (not sure if it is anti-air or not but it does lock on). This is a small piece of a far bigger game. I do think Orbital Strikes are OP v AT-ATs to be honest. So long as everyone knows to hoard them and not do anything stupid like use it on infantry to hold an uplink of course (you know that, in Battlefield Friends parlance, "the noob" will get an orbital and immediately pop it on a smoking AT-ST while screaming "bring the rain").

Think I'm getting into the swing of things a bit. Still chugging through story stuff. I'm loving my Warlock, Scout Rifle build. Wish I wasn't in the US so I could sink more hours into it.

Ummm, yeah, the game. It's at that stage where I'm learning a whole new language. "Motes of Light", "Strikes" , "Light Level"... I like this stage of a new game but at the same time it's almost overwhelming. lol

I find Rebels can take them down at the second set of uplinks a lot of the time. Especially if rebels are tactical about it. Get an Orbital Strike perk. Wait till the Y-Wing Assault. Pop down to the Radar Dish Gun drop the Orbital Strike on the distant AT-AT, hop in the Radar Dish Gun, pop away at the AT-AT it'll be down to <25% guaranteed. Even less if you've got some fighters up there doing their job, or a couple of folks with smart rockets. After that it's easy to drop the distant AT-AT at the second uplink base. So everyone can focus on attacking the nearby AT-AT. Even then, two decent speeder pilots with cover from x/a-wings can win the game in the last round with tow cables. Edit: Not saying it's easy but it's totally doable. Especially if you are kitted out correctly. Also, perks like Ion torpedos (available in Survival Co-op) will make AT-ATs even easier for a coordinated, well prepared team of rebels.

Fairly sure its the top setting in the video options. 'Soldier Camera' or something along those lines. I think you can swap camera's whilst in-game too, at least on consoles. I made the switch to 3rd person and much prefered it, the movements speeds seem to suit that style a little more IMO. I believe you can also hold down on the d-pad, or perhaps it's left stick click to switch camera, in case you want to swap on the fly. Stick clicking also lets you swap shoulders on your soldier.

It's cool that you've found time to game with your significant other. Might have to try the same with my gf once we've moved in together. Starting out on Bot Matches and the like seems to me to be a good, non-intimidating way to get into games like COD that already have a large number of highly proficient players. Learn the buttons, learn the ropes then if she wants, take it online once confidence has been built. Shame more games don't do split screen coop.
