  1. Could also be legitimate but a one-off/very rare. When you sell tens/hundreds of thousands of anything you're bound to have a non-zero failure rate.
  2. From NeoGAF, so add salt to taste.
  3. The base model. Like how the Wii U had a 16GB version and a 32GB version at first, the 16GB one was the base version. SKU is a term that has to do with inventory and keeping track of the various versions of things, kind of like a model number but not quite.
  4. Are you actually turning it off or putting it to sleep/hibernating? *Edit - Also, I'm not 100% sure but I believe sometimes there's setting in the bios to control USB power.
  5. https://www.videogamer.com/news/nintendo-switch-base-model-to-sell-for-19999-sources-reveal Retailers are listing the Switch at $329.99CAD/£199.99, both of which are roughly $250 US. So that changes the calculation...
  6. After finishing the Dragon Age DLC I started Titan Souls. I've defeated 8 bosses so far. I'm liking it, but it's definitely a game you play in short bursts rather than for long sessions.
  7. All the Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC. It was decent for the most part, but Trespasser was really where it was at. I liked that it expanded on the core story instead of just being a completely isolated thing. It's basically the Dragon Age equivalent of Mass Effect's Arrival DLC. Got me stoked for a sequel, actually.
  8. Nintendo intentionally restricts stock on major products to build up hype.
  9. The two-party system is not a custom, it's a direct result of the way our elections are set up. A first-past-the-post voting system will always lead to only two viable parties over time. There can be short periods of three or more parties, but two parties is the only long-term stable configuration of a fptp voting system.
  10. But it's a way to lodge a protest vote without voting for Harambe.
  11. I agree with you about the protest votes, I was taking about getting disengaged to the point of not voting at all. Trump and Clinton both got fewer votes than Romney did in 2012, and he was the loser.
  12. Yes, but people aren't rational actors. People feel disenfranchised and so disengage from the system.
  13. Yeah, it cuts both ways: Republicans in Kansas don't feel the need to vote because they're going to win anyway, and Democrats don't feel the need to vote cause they're going to lose anyway.
  14. There may well be such people, but my vote won't change what they do. Anyway, I did vote for Hillary.
  15. Well then fuck him right in the ear.
  16. People are idiots. *Edit - Though to be fair, because of the electoral college your vote only counts in certain states. For instance, Kansas was going red no matter what, so it didn't matter what I voted.
  17. It typically picks up right before the deadline, and I gave everybody a month this time instead of like a week for the last couple of years.
  18. I have no idea what Brownback's stance on wetlands is, we don't really have those here.
  19. Alright, got the components all in a wishlist on Newegg, now as soon as I get approved for this credit card (0% interest for 15 months and $150 cash back if I spend more than $500 in the first 3 months) I'll be ready to roll. I could just go ahead and do it now, but if Chase wants to put $150 toward my new PC innards who am I to stop them?
  20. Yeah, clock speed isn't the only factor in performance. Also that's just the stock clock speed I listed.
  21. Well when you phrase it as % then no, it's like 5% better, so that makes the decision war easier. Thanks
  22. Core i7 5820k 3.30GHz for $390 or Core i7 6800k 3.40GHz for $440?
  23. And I can't fucking play the game because it requires SSE 4.1 but nowhere in the system requirements does it indicate that. Fuck everything. *Edit - Fuck it, I'm upgrading my PC.
