Anyone else notice that warning that your saves won't work if you ever uninstall the game? That's some right bullshit there. Anyway, the game is super pretty on Ultra: (That's actually custom because the Ultra preset doesn't max out all settings, for instance only having 8x AF instead of 16x). Also, GOH, were you actually wanting to watch my broadcast earlier, or was that a misclick? I hadn't ever set up Steam broadcasting so by the time I figured out how it worked you had already launched the game yourself.

Hot Fuzz. There's not really a whole lot to say about it, it was a silly cop action movie comedy. I saw the twist coming miles away, but that didn't detract from it.

You don't like vsync? You psycho. Anyway, all you have to do is

I got it This game is so pretty.

Because CGI is most convincing when it's background/peripheral stuff and the main thing you're actually focused on is real.

CPU is probably your bottleneck, not disk rate.

This one's my favorite https://giant.gfycat.com/FragrantHardCrow.webm Especially the panicked grenade throw

I'm thinking (hoping) it's just an abundance of caution, in order to do everything possible to avoid another shitty PC launch.

I know, I know, I just can't help it...

http://venturebeat.com/2016/08/22/july-2016-npd-summer-game-drought-continues After 33 months cumulative sales of PS4 and Xbone are 41% ahead of PS360 at the same point in their lifespan.

Because maybe you'll decide you'd like to play Deus Ex in Portuguese some day and your internet will be down and if the language packs were optional then you'd just be screwed wouldn't you?
-
Lock them away then?

Maybe the new system should be if you leave them long enough they end up in the bin.

I have to work until 5 on Tuesday so it's basically the same for me too. Stupid clients making 4:30 appointments grumble grumble.

There's this bizarre idea in the US that private contractors can do a better job at providing government services than actual government agencies can, and that they can do it for cheaper.

w00t!

There's no way she's gonna show up because she might be dead and they're not importing saves so there's no way for the game to know.

Well you can't blame a bunch of 10yos for being overly sensitive about things.

I guess. There was no indication it was a temporary price though.

I think Goh got it on cdkeys. If I'd done that I wouldn't have bothered either, but the preorder I had was at $44.99, so dropping to $35.99 is pretty great. *Edit - I remember a time, admittedly like back in high school, where for simplicity's sake I just assumed £1 = $2 and it was close enough to work.
-
I just put "I'd like to cancel my Deus Ex Mankind Divided preorder" or something like that. It was pretty basic. If you select the refund category then it has a bunch of other boxes for the more specific info like order number and stuff.
-
Now Deus Ex is 40% off on GMG, so I'm gonna cancel my previous 25% off order... *Edit - With the 40% off it comes to $35.99, which is actually slightly cheaper even than cdkeys has it. And my original order was cancelled within about 10 minutes of filing the request.

I think this was my main problem. Thinking on it more, I don't think I actually got all the way to the end of season 3, I think I quit in the middle, and the cliffhanger I was thinking of was just one of the end of episode ones. It was just one of those things where after I finished the episode I realized that I didn't care about what was happening, so there was no incentive to keep watching. In order for a cliffhanger to be effective you have to care about what's going on and care about the outcome, but by that point the series was so boring that I just didn't care anymore. And I was watching downloaded copies of the series, so it's not even like I had to wait a week to watch the next one, it was right there on my hard drive and I just didn't even care to hit play.
