  1. I am so hyped for this game. It's dumb that the runner vision is a real in-world thing though. I had always just assumed it was that Faith is a good enough runner that she's able to pick out good routes, and the red is how that perception is communicated to the player. I like that explanation a lot better than her having an AR contact lens to show her the stuff.
  2. I wish I could be posting a PSVR preorder in here, but Amazon's site sucked and I was too slow at Walmart (that one's my fault).
  3. Fuck, missed out on the Amazon preorder. I was there the whole time, but it kept failing to add it to my cart, and now it's sold out. *Edit - Double fuck, missed the Walmart one too. I checked the page and it was in stock, I debated for about 30 seconds and decided to go for it, clicked the order button and it was out of stock. Guess I'll try the local brick and mortar Walmart at lunch. @TCP: If it's like the US store it's not that it didn't go up it's that it's already sold out.
  4. I've been playing Until Dawn. Pretty well nails the teen horror genre. I thought the two big "twists" so far were pretty obvious though, even several hours ahead of time. Which I guess is another way that it's nailing the genre.
  5. Apparently due to popular demand they are going to allow North American preorders of the Core Bundle, starting March 29 at 7:00 am Pacific.
  6. The bundle price is (slightly) cheaper than getting all the components separate. Though I do agree that if you already have a move then the bundle's not for you.
  7. Well you can buy just the headset, just not preorder it
  8. Well, it is made in Japan, so maybe they're secretly trying to get back at us for opposing them.
  9. That's only in North America for some reason, in Europe they can preorder the headset. It's weird.
  10. You could get an Eye and two moves for less than $100, but the PS4 doesn't use an Eye, it uses a PS Camera (that's the same mistake I made that dean corrected). The PS Camera costs a lot more. $100 is probably about what the camera and two moves would cost, so it becomes a deal when considering the game that's included too.
  11. The translator thing was cool, could make dubs of live action movies less distracting.
  12. Sony announces the Launch Bundle in North America. $500 US gets you the PSVR, camera, two moves, and Playstation VR Worlds. I'm seriously tempted. I'll probably try to grab a preorder when they go up next Tuesday, with the thought that I can always cancel it.
  13. Yeah, I really don't understand why the VR companies aren't making use of Youtube's VR video features.
  14. I'm not sure how the assassination might have contributed, but we were already well on our way to being tied up there before he died.
  15. Yeah, as a game it was not very good, but I found it interesting for the other aspects. Glad I got it on PS+ though.
  16. Idk what it might have been, but it wouldn't surprise me.
  17. Sony has confirmed there will be a bundle that includes the camera and a Move, at least in North America. No price though. Right now I could buy the camera on Amazon for $45, and the Move for $25, so I'm hoping the bundle will be $450. http://www.techinsider.io/there-will-be-a-playstation-vr-bundle-with-a-playstation-camera-2016-3
  18. Never underestimate the ingenuity of hackers/modders.
  19. FUCK *Edit - I forgot there was a difference. Order cancelled.
  20. Um, so apparently Amazon has PS Eye cameras for $4.99, and they qualify for Prime, so I went ahead and ordered one and even if I never use it oh well...
  21. $549 CAD, which is a little bit of a markup, straight exchange rate would be $535 CAD. *Edit - fuck, from the blog post it looks like it doesn't even come with one controller.
  22. So this is interesting, even with all the trustworthiness concerns people have about Clinton she's still polling second-highest among the candidates in that category. (Ignore the headline, it's not supported by the poll, which was just "would you trust [blank] as commander in chief", not whether you want them or not.) Percent who said "yes" for each candidate Sanders - 38% Clinton - 31% Trump - 26% Cruz - 20% Kasich - 19% Rubio - 16% This isn't directly related, but I feel like Rubio looks like a 7yo boy in a suit.
  23. After playing around a little, it seems like it's more of a memory leak type issue. Just going to the main page doesn't use an inordinate amount of resources, but if I leave a tab sitting there it starts using progressively more and more over time. Leaving it sitting on any other page doesn't though.
