  1. I said it wasn't economical, not that it wasn't possible.
  2. No company's servers can stand up to the initial tidal wave of users on something as hotly anticipated as this game. It's just not economical to build that kind of capacity when it won't sustain itself.

Not sure if that's a joke or not FDS, but if it is I like it.
  4. Great game, though I haven't played the definitive edition yet.
  5. See I loved 3. And I'm sure that if I hadn't played 3 I would have loved 4, but it was just too samey for me. The superpowers didn't make a big enough difference, I guess.
  6. I started that game but gave up after a couple hours. It definitely felt like DLC for SR3 rather than its own game.
  7. Yeah, I don't get what people think is so different about ISPs, considering common carriers have been a thing in every business sector from transportation to shipping to telecommunications.
  8. I cut the cable years ago. Netflix + Hulu + network websites gets me all my entertainment for like 1/5 the cost. *Edit* - Although I still have cable internet... Fuck.
  9. Oh yeah, I was talking about the national parties. There's all kinds of variation at the state and local level.
  10. There is no liberal party in the US. On a world-wide scale the Republicans are pretty far right and the Democrats are very slightly left of center. The Democrats only look liberal in comparison to the Republicans, and because we don't have any true liberal party to compare with.
  11. Idk, it looks dirty, for lack of a better word. It makes me really uncomfortable to look at it. The animated parts of Month Python and the Holy Grail have the same kind of effect. So do some older cartoons.

  13. Braid's art style is physically painful for me to look at. Because of that I've never been able to get far enough in it to tell if I like it or not.
  14. Unless they've changed it recently, their store layout is horrible.
  15. Right, but then he said he wonders how those games will do on the new consoles.
  16. Well aren't you just Mr. Contrary?
  17. Yeah, I agree. It wasn't generally scarce enough to be annoying, but it did allow them to do interesting things with limiting/increasing your access to it.
  18. Just Dance isn't exclusive to Nintendo consoles though. In fact it seems like Kinect is the place it makes the most sense.
  19. That's pretty much how it worked in the first two: you had an electricity meter that you had to fill up at transformers or whatever, the only difference was electricity was the only kind of power. I really don't see the problem.
  20. That's talking about endgame raid type things though, at the bottom he says the core solo campaign that people expect is still there. My understanding is the raids are their replacement for firefight in this game, PvE but not actually part of the campaign.
  21. They say it'll scale from one to three players (the max for the campaign), and based on the Halo games I have no reason to doubt them. And as with a traditional FPS, competitive multi is an entirely separate mode. You could be entirely right about the Division though, I know almost nothing about it beyond what was in that first trailer and Alex's link.
  22. That might be true about this, but I really don't think it will be with Destiny. Based on everything I've read it will have a campaign comparable to something like Halo, with a full on campaign and specially designed encounters, etc.
  23. Well for one thing, at least with Destiny, it's not one big world that everyone's in. You're never going to see hundreds of players running around in the city, it's matchmade on the fly, more like how Journey worked. So while it's online you're only ever in the same game space as a few other people at a time. Also, you can play offline if you want. I had gotten the impression the Division worked the same way, but I could be wrong.
  24. I'm the opposite, something just feels small about playing games on a handheld, and I would always choose to play on a TV all other things being equal. I don't use the portability at all, beyond sitting alternately on the couch or the chair. Anyway, I don't want the Vita TV for Vita games, I want it for PS4 streaming. It's a hassle to move the PS4 between rooms and I obviously don't want to spend the money on a second one. I also use my Vita almost exclusively for PS4 streaming. I know that seems contradictory given what I just said about preferring the TV, but playing on the Vita allows me to be in the main room with my wife while still playing my PS4 and without hogging the TV. What it doesn't work for, however, is playing a game with her, which is where having to move the PS4 comes in and what I would primarily want the Vita TV for.
