Yes, how dare people want to prevent other people from copying their shit and selling it without their permission. How unreasonable! That's what this is trying to get at: monetization of copyrighted material by non-copyright owners. Yes, there's a lot of collateral damage, and if they don't fix that within a reasonable time then I'll agree they're being dicks, but at this point it's just an unintended consequence of an otherwise reasonable action.

I'm not defending what's happening, I'm just saying there's a difference between "people being dicks" and "people doing something that makes sense on paper but has unintended effects in practice".

It's not people being dicks, it's an algorithm that's probably being a little more zealous than intended. Most of the hits are off of the music in the background of games, because the algorithm auto-matches it to its library of copyrighted music (those games' released soundtracks).

I don't know about Uncharted 3 specifically, but I know some games do turn off auto-aim when you play on hard mode.

Apparently game publishers are telling people to challenge the claims so that they can dismiss them from their end.

I meant individual game brands. The average player doesn't give one single shit about who the publisher is.

Kotaku (I know) has linked casting documents for a new Fallout. They claim to have confirmed their authenticity. Fallout 4 will be set in Boston (which we already suspected).

That'd be really hard to do now that it's been established and there are games that require it.

It was never going to be a success like the Wii was. Best case scenario for Nintendo is another Gamecube. It was never going to be a good place for third parties because, just like the Wii, it is so much less powerful than the other consoles that multiplatform games aren't going to continue to be ported over to it. It'll keep getting them as long as they're still coming to PS360, but once that stops it'll stop on Wii U too.
