My sub expired at the beginning of November, so I re-upped then, taking me to November 2014, then I got the 30 day trial with the PS4 to get to December 2014, then I got another year just now to get to December 2015.

Because I'm a consumer whore.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Loved it. Sad it's over. I've already done pretty much everything as I went, so there's not really anything left to do. I could finish getting the collectibles on the sea but that's tedious and it doesn't really give you any rewards, not even a trophy. *Edit* - Wait, I still have the Aveline stuff!

I was already tempted by this game, and now Amazon has it for $30, so I went for it.

Yeah, all I got was the $30 PS+ sub.

I also prefer a new copy, but I'm not going to spend a bunch more money to get new rather than getting a used one in good condition.

I don't think the issue is so many people trying to redeem codes specifically, it's just general server load, so they disabled secondary functions that they thought would disrupt the overall experience the least.

But for the people who do routinely buy new copies and sell their old ones, they'd be buying a lot fewer new copies if they couldn't sell the old ones. Obviously for the developer/publisher it's better if you buy a discounted new copy, I just think the idea that buying used is morally worse than pirating is ridiculous.

Don't redeem any PSN codes right now, the store's slow as hell. Mine threw an error and now it's telling me the code's already used, but the extra year isn't on my account. I'm sure I'll be able to work it out with support, but better to just wait until the network is stable again. *Edit* - Never mind, it's not saying it's used, but it's still not redeeming successfully so I'd wait.

Yes, but the ability to re-sell games also increases the value of the product for the original purchaser, making them more likely to buy the original new copy in the first place.

Generally I agree with you, except that for consoles it's nice to have a headset that can accept two audio inputs simultaneously: one for game audio and one for voice chat.

Are you one of our PS4 brethren? If so definitely Vita, remote play is amazing.
