Why would you chat through Skype when playing on PS4? I get that PS3 had terrible party support, but PS4's is great and SO much more convenient than having everyone get on Skype.

We all get that you're talking about the back catalog, and don't think it will ever happen as long as Nintendo's handheld business is going fine.

1) Moms don't know those things 2) The fact that it's a rehash only matters if they already have the 3DS one 3) Those kids are way too young to have played Wind Waker on the Gamecube It's a sad reflection of the state of Wii U's library for those in the know, but that doesn't mean it won't be effective for people who aren't.

Sony has kept a reserve of units specifically to replace broken ones, so you don't have to wait. That's the idea anyway, let us know how it works in practice.

Yeah, at this point the only real measure of demand we have are preorders, which PS4 was beating Xbone about 4- or 5-to-1 on. As far as actual sales go, demand for both is high enough right now that they're selling out as fast as they can get on shelves (at least in the US), so sales numbers are really just a measure of manufacturing capacity and not actual demand.

I'm guessing they're wondering why they're supposed to buy another Wii for $300 when the one they have works fine, and hardly gets played with anyway.

I don't *want* to play on 3DS though. Anyway, I enjoy the Marios and Zeldas. You may not think they're any good, but I find them fun and that's all I care about. I can't say I'd be upset about Nintendo becoming a purely software company though. Stupid 3DS being popular...

Interesting that on all of them where there's a noticeable difference it's the PS4 version that looks better, except for Madden where the Xbone version looks sharper.

I quit Contrast after I got stuck in some scenery and had to exit the game, losing like 10 minutes of progress. I was maybe an hour in, and it was okay, but not enough for me to care to replay that 10 minutes.

That's actually a really good idea. Like I've got AC4 on PS4, so it doesn't show up on my Steam account but it does on Darkadia. *Edit* - Although if you stick to the wishlist that shouldn't be a problem, only if you're going off-list. -

You're supposed to get a popup notification. There's a setting for it somewhere in the options. As far as I know though there's no quick way to jump to the message, you just have to go to dash and navigate to it manually. I agree though that's something that they really need.

Digital Foundry has an in-depth look at Remote Play. I think the write-up makes it sound worse than it is, though they do say your mileage may vary. I definitely wouldn't recommend playing a twitch shooter via Remote Play, but the Vita's sticks aren't really up to that anyway. I just spent 60 hours in AC4, probably 1/3 of which was Remote Play, and aside from some lag when my wife used the microwave I didn't really have any problems. I didn't even have problems with the combat counter system. So basically unless the game you're playing is super latency-sensitive it'll probably work fine and you won't even notice the lag.
