  1. Must have been updated, cause now it says Still doesn't say anything about rumble though.
  2. You can't even upload video to Twitter, only screenshots. They haven't explicitly confirmed that it will be getting Youtube support, but they said to keep an eye on the blog for news about them adding more services to the sharing, and Youtube seems like the obvious one. And yeah, Vimeo doesn't allow uploads of gameplay. A few indie devs had run into problems with that actually when trying to upload demos of their games they're developing, but IIRC Vimeo has made an exception for videos of games you've made.
  3. @Jack: Yes, it looks a lot better, everything's much clearer, there's a lot less aliasing on textures and no sub-pixel breakup anymore that I've seen (sub-pixel breakup is when thin things like ropes or power lines get broken into sections that don't look like they connect to each other). The whole thing just looks a lot cleaner. There's also less aliasing on models, though there wasn't a whole lot of that before either.
  4. An unexpected advantage of remote play is that then when I go back to playing on my monitor it looks even extra awesome.

Huh. I heard that the Vita screen makes games look better because the small screen obscures imperfections.

I haven't tried it yet. I'm too busy soaking up the next gen goodness.

It makes it look smoother, but the compression isn't perfect so occasionally there's some artifacting and it loses a lot of definition. It does look very nice on Vita, but it lacks an impressiveness that the larger screen has. It's similar to how I felt when I moved my PC out to the main TV to play Amalur.

  5. So I was wrong, those 15 minute clips aren't created for every game session, just when you hit the share button. It's just most of the time when I do that I'm trying to create a screenshot, I didn't realize it was also archiving my last 15 minutes of play. *Edit* - Also, you can take screenshots while doing Vita remote play, but you can't record video or stream. My guess is it's because the video compression resources are tied up sending the stream to the Vita.
  6. No, it was upscaled before from 900p, now they've patched it to where it runs at native 1080p.
  7. lmao, I love that part of the after-sex ritual is "play video games"
  8. IIRC it's pretty standard in the series for the game to make you do each side thing once as part of the main story, to give you the tutorial on how to do it. Hunting in AC3 was that way, for instance.
  9. I'm sure I'll upgrade the HDD eventually, but not before it becomes an issue. I figure the longer I wait the cheaper the storage will be and the more I can get.
  10. You can delete them... Also, at less than 1GB per play session it'd take you a few hundred session to fill it up. *Edit - but yes, it would be nice if you could set a max size for it to fill and for it to start deleting older ones once you hit the cap.
  11. Holy crap, while looking for something else entirely I discovered that not only does the PS4 capture the last 15 minutes of gameplay, but it saves all your captures for as long as you have enough free space. So you can only get up to 15 minutes out of each session (unless you quit the game and go back), but you can get as many 15 minute sessions as you want. *Edit* - Depending on the clip 15 minutes of footage looks to be between 600 and 900 MB. The encoding's not the best, it's noticeably blurry on my monitor, but it's not terrible, and considering it's doing it on the fly in the background I'm fairly impressed.
  12. PS4 version just got patched to 1.02. Can't find confirmation that it fixes the resolution though. *Edit* - Never mind, just realized I had a screenshot of the main menu from last night, so I took another one just now and switching back and forth it's definitely higher res than before. *Edit 2* - Oh yeah, and gameplay is noticeably clearer and less aliased.
  13. Headset adapter for my Ear Force X11's to work with the PS4's voice chat.
  14. Apparently they are going to be adding an online Horde Mode to Shadow Fall as DLC, which could be cool. But yeah, it doesn't make any sense why the Lego games wouldn't have online coop. To protect the childrens from predators?
  15. Microsoft has detailed the Game DVR functionality available at launch. You can tell it to save either the previous 30 seconds of gameplay or the next 5 minutes. In that respect it's not as good as PS4's system, which works more like a TV DVR and is always saving the last 15 minutes, so you can go back and pick out anything in that time frame. Once you create and edit the video (appears to be just simple start and end point selection, just like PS4) it gets uploaded to SkyDrive as a 720p mp4 files, which means it's accessible from PC and can be uploaded anywhere you want (or edited with more robust editing software). In that respect it's better than PS4's system, which atm can only upload to Facebook.
  16. Yeah, that's the one thing I feel like Shadow Fall is lacking. I would fucking love to play me some coop. Although it is a little bit more stealth-heavy than Halo, so that wouldn't work as well coop. There's no reason you couldn't just go in Rambo-style if you wanted though.
  17. I meant 920 isn't orders of magnitude larger than 500.
  18. I dunno about that, all my installed PC games put together is only about 920 GB. Bigger, obviously, but not like orders of magnitude bigger. You'll have to be conscious of how much space you're using, but I don't see it being a huge issue in the near future. *Edit * - Although game sizes will likely increase now that all consoles are on BD-derived formats.
  19. I upgraded to a 360 Elite, but only because it had HDMI and the original one didn't. I can't think of any features like that they could possibly add to the PS4 that I would care enough about to upgrade.
  20. That looks very similar to the PC I put together on that website FDS linked last week, except mine only had 2 Titans. And it still cost $10k. Although it did have 3x 2TB SSDs.
  21. Whatever man, Maruchan all the way.
  22. Halo. Whether or not they succeed is certainly a matter of opinion, but they definitely try.
  23. Jumping through a little bit and THANK GOD YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE PARTY ARMOR AGAIN! And yeah, Tenshi's right, jump to 18:00 and they show tactical view. On console no less (judging by the interface icons), so that means it's actually even more tactical than DA:O was on consoles. Sadly it looks like there's no equivalent of the KotOR-style combat I love so much. It's either full-tactical or full-realtime.
  24. More like death of the author. I don't care what they intended, only what can be reasonably inferred from the events that were depicted.
  25. What I meant was it's the second day after the launch day.
