I've logged in with my Live account on friends' 360's, and I'm just always careful to make sure to have it require a password for future logins.

Rumors continue. Apparently listings have gone up and then come down for Mirror's Edge 2 on Xbone on the Italian and German Amazons, and now a support page for it briefly appeared on EA's site. If we don't hear something at E3 I might actually explode. Also, I'm probably reading WAY too much into the fact that they were Xbone listings, but if ME2 launches as an Xbone exclusive that might actually be enough to get me to buy the console.

Yeah, in all the hubbub about used games being blocked I hadn't even realized this aspect until a couple of days ago. A parent won't be able to buy one copy of a game so their three kids can all play it. That's ridiculous. Of course, it's possible the game registration will work the same way downloads currently work on 360: When you download content (game, DLC, whatever) it is registered to the account that bought it, but it's also registered to the specific 360 you downloaded it on. The registered account can play it on any 360, and any account can play it on the registered 360. That would lessen the impact of the sibling situation considerably.

Not much.

Yeah, they don't hurt anything by being there, AFAIK.

Event he DS version was too visual-novelly for me and I ended up quitting. But I don't like visual novels so that may not be the best perspective to go off of.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's sexist, but the huge men in games really are designed as power fantasies for men.

Who says it's a matter of a single TV? You might want to play on the couch next to someone just so you can hang out with them, or in bed, or anywhere else you wouldn't want to sit down in front of a TV. Definitely that. I like to be able to play a game out in the living room with my wife without hogging the TV. Sure I could go into my "office" to play the game, but then I wouldn't be out with my wife.

This is the first Capcom game I've been even remotely interested in in a long time.

Yeah, I keep thinking it's a fall title.

Yoshida confirms it.

Yeah, that to me is a system-selling feature. I fucking love being able to do that with the Wii U. I wish somebody would hack a way to get your PC to recognize the Wii U tablet as a monitor/controller. Splashtop is nice for remote PC gaming, but there's too much lag to use it for anything that requires any kind of fast response.

That one I don't know the answer to.

I've never had a cat bother me much when eating, and was really confused when you said she was doing that. As far as the bathroom goes if you otherwise live alone just leave the door open a bit so she can come and go.

Up to. As long as the socket's right you should be fine.

GHz isn't really a good measure anymore. I'd try and see if you can find benchmarks comparing the performance. And you're right, generally AMD chips run cheaper for the processing power.

Yes, but the same thing could happen in reverse: gamers could buy more PS4's near the beginning, drawing more publishers to it. I doubt most publishers are going to, as a group, cancel the games they already have well into production for the PS4, so it's the games in the earlier stages of development that could be at risk, and by the time we get there PS4's lead might be big enough to draw the pubs in anyway.
-
Plus install base. Publishers will go where the consumers are, regardless of whether they like the design or not. Assuming that having no used game DRM makes more people buy a lot more PS4's than Xbones (which may not be a good assumption, but anyway) then the publishers are going to make games for PS4, no matter how distasteful that may seem to them.
-
See discussion about telecoms in the Xbone thread. Also, it sounds like Sony was planning to have restrictions but now is waffling. Maybe they've decided that the good will they'd gain from the third-party pubs isn't worth the bad will from the fans?

You'll change your mind when your card fries itself. j/k j/k In honesty I've never heard of that feature before. Sounds nifty.

Gamersgate has 66-75% off Codemasters racing titles.

I'm watching the first three seasons with my wife right now, and then the plan is to plow into the fourth.

I need to do that.
