Play on an archipelago. Being on a series of islands does wonders to insulate you from attacks, especially since one of the things that pisses them off in the first place is sharing a border.

Yeah, I am not a fan of the comics and as such it does not bother me, but if I were I can totally see how it would. That aside, I'm not going to claim the movie is perfect or anything (it's definitely not), but all the other "flaws" people have pointed out just don't phase me. It's not that I can refute them or anything, it's just that I don't care about them and can't really see why someone would.

At least it doesn't look like the cover of a 1980's VHS of a children's TV show like the Spider-Man one does.

I thought Generations was quite good, especially the 2D parts. I'll at least have an eye on this one. *Edit* - Of course, I already own the system. If I didn't I really wouldn't care about this at all.
