Though it does seem like all the news sites disagree with my interpretation.

I'm sure that's fake. I could see them doing something like this, but it would be a side game like Brotherhood or Revelations, rather than a numbered entry.
-
I know it was about the auction house, but their justification was that the auction house was absolutely critical to their vision of the game. That's why they couldn't even make an option to create an entirely offline character. Obviously, however, that was a load of shit, as seen by this.

No, I used the polar bear for my ice pokemon.
-
Diablo 3 is going to allow offline play on PS4. But wait! I thought being always connected was critical to your vision of the game and it would be impossible to remove it!
-
My exact thoughts.
-
I don't have any idea what you're asking.
-
Woo! Now for the sequel.
-
Yes, because we were all 100% serious about it making sense in an IRL kind of way, and not just saying it would have been amusing. Don't take everything so seriously.

Sony President says that it's "our dream" to have a Gaikai-based streaming service where you pay a subscription and have access to thousands of games. Sounds sweet to me.

Why do people have Wikipedia edit wars over whether it's "Star Trek into Darkness" or "Star Trek Into Darkness"?

Right, that's what I mean, it wasn't considered a base feature of the console, so PS2 had a really ad hoc approach to it, but now a lot of people do consider it that.
-
Yeah, that shelved option is nice.
-
I was actually meaning it was premium in the Xbox 1/PS2 era. Like, any kind of online service at all was premium, so it makes sense to pay for it.
-
The problem with that approach is that everything starts out as a "premium" feature until it gets popular enough that people start to expect it as a base part of the product, and so at what point does it become "basic functionality" that you shouldn't charge for? Online play used to be premium, but now people consider it base functionality.

Yeah, any tail on an object like that will be caused by escaping gasses. A true asteroid shouldn't have a tail until it enters the atmosphere and starts ablating surface material/heating the atmosphere to the glowing point. Comets have tails because they're mostly balls of frozen water and gas, and as they approach the inner solar system the heat from the sun starts vaporizing that material, which expands into space and is visible as a tail.

I remove a game from my backlog whenever I decide I'm done with it. For most games that means beating it, but for some it means when I decide I don't like it. If you use that system you could clear out those HiB games that way.

According to that Joystiq article I posted it really is set in the real Seattle, which they specifically mentioned as being a change from the fictional cities of previous games.

To me though a lot of her stuff comes across like "We need to fix hunger in America. Look! This guy couldn't afford to get a large pizza, and had to settle for medium!" Yes, there is a problem to be addressed, but you seize anything that's even tangentially related as a reason to harp on it then you cause people to get burnt out on hearing about it and they care even less. Also, by making a big deal out of some of the lesser manifestations you skew people's views on the subject. "If the biggest problem women have in the gaming industry is that the Sony execs are all men, then it must not be all that bad."
-
Me too. I was actually rather disappointed when it didn't.

In the US that bundle is still at Infinite's full price of $60. Still not bad though.
-
Oh right. He also talked about stuff in the US though. I think they were just talking about police-state-type stuff in general.
-
idk, I must have missed that part of the presentation.

It's set in Seattle.
