I don't see one where his neck isn't attached to his face. The low res torso is what I was talking about. Guess it's a PC issue. *Edit* - If that original ending thing is true it certainly makes the ending more satisfying in terms of wrapping up past hints.

That picture of Kaiden has to be on low graphics or something, because I just saw that scene last night on 360 and it didn't look anywhere close to that bad.

I missed that part, I assumed there was a free alternative in Texas like in all the other states that passed an ID requirement. Yeah, that could definitely be an unconstitutional poll tax on top of the discrimination claims (states can't charge people to vote). All the IDs they accept are "state" IDs though. Stuff like driver's license, military ID, concealed-carry license, passport, etc.
-
Then they need to make that clear whenever talking about them, otherwise people are going to assume the word means what it is normally used to mean.

Garrus never hung out in the cockpit on my game!
-
Yeah, outlawing them is retarded, and I'm someone who generally supports being "green." @FDS: Yeah, they've got the self-checkout, the "express lane" which is always open because it's also the cigarette lane, and then like 6 regular lanes but only one of those is ever open at a time. So the one regular lane always has a long line because most people buy more than 10 things when they go to the grocery store.
-
There is self-checkout, but that is a pain if you've got a lot of stuff, so it's kind of like the express lane. It's probably a staffing issue, but it's still irritating.

Wisconsin was the only one I found on a quick search. I had been under the impression there were others but I could be wrong. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/129469023.html http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/129400013.html http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mary-bottari/wisconsin-voter-id-_b_954976.html

I wish our grocery store would track how many people are coming in. But no, instead they have to have ONE lane open besides the "express" lane. So unless you're just buying a couple things it always takes forever.

This. So much this. Especially the part about Garrus. Okay, wow, that's just terrible. I wonder how many more things like that there are that haven't been found yet? @Dean: I'm retconning the game in my mind to go with your ending options. Totes better than Bioware's.

Excessive, early and excessively early DLC
TheMightyEthan replied to peteer01's topic in General Gaming Chat
I should clarify one thing: the lazy DLC comment referred to the colors/costumes, not the new characters. New characters seems like an appropriate way to do DLC in a fighting game. -
I think there's a way to do it from your profile, but I'm not sure how. Anyway, I don't think I've played it since shortly after release, but I did write a review for PXOD (which now that I re-read it I can't help but feel the beginning of the review is absolutely terrible).

Excessive, early and excessively early DLC
TheMightyEthan replied to peteer01's topic in General Gaming Chat
Okay, I retract my statement. I'm not a fighting game person, so it was just based on what I'd heard from others, which is "they're charging for costumes and colors". People apparently left off the part about how they have 500 million characters. *Edit* - I do think it's a lazy way to do DLC, but the solution to that is simple: don't buy the DLC. -
Disclaimer: didn't read the link, just responding to this one bit. I tend to agree with you, but the key is "when they are readily available". I have read of several states where they pass a law requiring photo ID for voting, and then make it their policy not to tell people that it's possible to get an ID for free. THAT is discriminatory. That said, I'm perfectly fine with requiring a state-issued photo ID if you actually do make it readily available and advertise that you can get an ID for free.

Excessive, early and excessively early DLC
TheMightyEthan replied to peteer01's topic in General Gaming Chat
Ordinarily day-one DLC and online passes and stuff don't bother me, but the SFXT thing is an example of it making the game demonstrably worse than it was before DLC was a thing. I sincerely hope people don't buy the game, send a message to the pub, but I doubt that will happen. -
I don't even remember there being that much added in terms of play mechanics, I thought it was mostly just a refinement of the stuff from AC2.
-
If you want to watch the other endings on Youtube I posted the videos a couple pages back, in a spoiler tag.

Ah man yeah, those carts have the smoothest ride, it's fantastic. It's like they weigh nothing.
-
I did really like the crew talking to each other, but while the auto conversations with Shep did expand the characters it didn't give me the feeling of interaction.
-
How did it make stuff worse? It's been too long since I played it to cite examples, but I remember my impression being that it improved almost everything from AC2.
-
@Johnny: I disagree, I felt like it was Improved in Every Way Mass Effect 2, except that I didn't think there were enough actual conversations with crew members/squad mates. And the ending, but I didn't think that was the worst thing every like most people seemed to. Overall I do think it's my favorite Mass Effect. It had the better gameplay of ME2 but a more focused story.

Incredible. Surely Obama wants everyone to have the opportunity or the choice to go to college? He's not gonna run around stuffing rednecks into hessian sacks and dumping them in college campuses (campi?) to have liberals force book-learnin' on them. Actually what Obama said (not going to be bothered to find the video) was that he wants every American to commit to at least one year of higher education, whether that's a four year university, a community college, trade school or an apprenticeship (he actually mentioned all of those things).

No, our "shopping carts" (or "baskets" if you're crazy) have 4 wheels on independent axles, it's just the back two are locked facing forward.
