lol at this too. The whole time I felt like I didn't get to interact with my crew members much. Though I did like how they interacted with each other.
-
I will say *Edit* - lol, I just read on the wiki that supposedly the combat difficulty was increased and Casey Hudson called normal the new veteran. That's funny because I was playing on normal and the whole time thought it was a bit too easy, but bumping it up to hardcore was more of an increase in difficulty than I wanted.

Just beat it, and wait what? At least it didn't live down to how terrible people said it was. Though maybe I got a different ending than most. *Edit* - @Dean: *Edit 2* - Also, while perhaps I didn't get the "perfect" ending (I haven't checked that endings link yet, so I don't know) it certainly doesn't feel like I got a fucked up ending on the good-to-bad scale. *Edit 3* - Also also I agree with Strange that I would like some epilogue DLC.
-
I don't know if the ending sucks, I haven't gotten there yet, but

lmao (near end-game spoiler):

This is so very, very true. It sold like hotcakes too, if I remember right, so why did they feel the need to completely abandon the formula for 2? *Edit* - I've been holding out for Bioware because they've made my favorite RPGs ever, and no one else makes games in that same kind of style. Bethesda is closest, but it's still a long way off.
-
lol, Jesus, you've completely lost interest in Bioware over this?
-
Those are the best kind of days.
-
lmfao! Holy crap, how did that one slip by the testers?
-
Protip - if it looks like they're making you choose between either one or the other option, but then there are paragon/renegade options on the other side of the wheel, the paragon/renegade usually lets you get the best of both worlds. *Edit* -

I just did that part too, but I didn't have an issue with it.

Once you complete the quest that person will show up on your map, so just go to the citadel, open the map, and see where new names have appeared. There's only been one quest that didn't show up that way for me. *Edit* - I do agree with all of this though. As for the sorting the quest log, it's stupid, but a work around is if you resort it the cursor goes up to the top, so you can hit the "Sort by..." button a couple times to rearrange it to how you want it, and it's faster than scrolling.

The greatest Controller of all time!
TheMightyEthan replied to Battra92's topic in General Gaming Chat
My issue with that controller design is that two of the face buttons are on each side. Now regardless of which stick you use for movement you would sometimes have to take your thumb off that stick to hit a button, and in many games that is completely unacceptable. *Edit* - I think they should do away with face buttons altogether and give me buttons on the underside of the controller, one for each finger. That way I never have to take thumbs off the sticks or have any traversal time to hit the right button. -
Well I'm 29 hours in and I've barely started the second major conflict.
-
Well that's bullshit. *Edit* - In addition to the bullshit of making you not be able to do it in one playthrough, why the fuck would they make it so you can max out the bar but still not have enough for the best ending?

The greatest Controller of all time!
TheMightyEthan replied to Battra92's topic in General Gaming Chat
The accuracy I mentioned works for moving your thumb from an "out" position to an "in" position, for both hands. What I was saying about the right stick is that you want the motion to go from the stick to the buttons to be an out-to-in motion. However, the "in" position is more comfortable for resting, so ideally whatever you rest your thumb on would be in the "in" position. All of that applies to both hands, regardless of handedness. Now, since the face buttons are on the right the precision of the out-to-in motion trumps the resting comfort consideration for that stick, not to mention the fact that in plenty of games you would rest your thumb over the face buttons rather than the stick, so the right stick goes in the lower position. That same consideration does not exist on the left side as there are far fewer times when you would rest your thumb on the d-pad or need to quickly and precisely hit a d-pad direction, so on that side the resting comfort trumps. I agree completely that a mirrored version of the controller would be better for lefties, but that goes to which side the face buttons/d-pad should be on. What I'm saying is that whether the controller were as current or mirrored the stick on the face button side should be lower and the stick on the d-pad side should be higher. I do agree that aesthetically though the symmetry of the DS3 is more appealing. Honestly, in an ideal world the face buttons, sticks, and d-pad would all be on removable modules and everyone could arrange them in whatever configuration they like best. Deadzone and sensitivity/tension of the sticks should also be adjustable on the controller itself. -
If anything I'd expect the price to go up due to a lack of competition. You'd go from a bunch of retailers all competing for business to just MS and Sony (and maybe Nintendo) competing.

I think it could work, I just don't think they'll do it because they'll automatically be eliminating a large portion of the market. iPod and iPad have proved it can work with smaller titles, and I think XLBA and PSN have borne that out, but I don't think it would work as well with larger retail releases. I would not be surprised if every 720 game has a digital release day-and-date with the retail one though. In fact I'd be surprised if it's not that way.

Bioware has repeatedly and unequivocally stated that you can get the perfect ending without MP. If that weren't true I would have expected them to just not address the issue, like they did with the ME1 face import thing.
-
That sounds like a miscommunication to me. Based on how my bar is filling I was estimating it would take 2500 points to get the best ending, which would be 5000 war assets without MP, so that might be what IGN meant.
-
I can't imagine it won't have some sort of physical media, though that doesn't necessarily have to be an OSD. But without physical media they're eliminating the portion of the market that lacks either internet access altogether or lacks the technical knowledge to get it set up with their game console. I would guess (though I have nothing to base it on) that that's not an insignificant portion of the market.

Hey, all we need is a trillion of them and we can light a small room!

Yeah, I really enjoyed what I played in the demo. I put 33 hours into that thing, which is more than most full games I buy.
