I don't even remember there being that much added in terms of play mechanics, I thought it was mostly just a refinement of the stuff from AC2.
-
If you want to watch the other endings on Youtube I posted the videos a couple pages back, in a spoiler tag.

Ah man yeah, those carts have the smoothest ride, it's fantastic. It's like they weigh nothing.
-
I did really like the crew talking to each other, but while the auto conversations with Shep did expand the characters it didn't give me the feeling of interaction.
-
How did it make stuff worse? It's been too long since I played it to cite examples, but I remember my impression being that it improved almost everything from AC2.
-
@Johnny: I disagree, I felt like it was Improved in Every Way Mass Effect 2, except that I didn't think there were enough actual conversations with crew members/squad mates. And the ending, but I didn't think that was the worst thing every like most people seemed to. Overall I do think it's my favorite Mass Effect. It had the better gameplay of ME2 but a more focused story.

Incredible. Surely Obama wants everyone to have the opportunity or the choice to go to college? He's not gonna run around stuffing rednecks into hessian sacks and dumping them in college campuses (campi?) to have liberals force book-learnin' on them. Actually what Obama said (not going to be bothered to find the video) was that he wants every American to commit to at least one year of higher education, whether that's a four year university, a community college, trade school or an apprenticeship (he actually mentioned all of those things).

No, our "shopping carts" (or "baskets" if you're crazy) have 4 wheels on independent axles, it's just the back two are locked facing forward.

The greatest Controller of all time!

Oh, I see what you mean, confused me with the bit about pointing them toward each other. Still though, if that's a common issue then it makes more sense to me why people are bothered by the offset sticks, it's just not an issue I've ever experienced. -
Oooh, Brotherhood was my favorite Assassin's Creed so far.

So "out" is toward your body and "in" is toward your index finger? I find I have much finer control when my hands are more open and my thumbs are pointing toward each other. Symmetrical sticks also lend themselves to accuracy better - if I push them together, the left stick is right and the right stick is left. If I move them both left or right, one points toward the other and the other copies it. If I did that on the 360, I'd have the left stick down-right and the right stick up-left, or both in either diagonal configuration. That's probably why they had to put raised bumps on the tops - to give you some sense of orientation. I didn't mean your thumb is more precise in the "in" position, I meant that you can make a more precise movement in an out-to-in motion than you can in an in-to-out motion. As for the offset affecting accuracy of moving the sticks, I just don't have that problem, I can move my thumbs independently of each other without issue (if that's the problem most people have with offset sticks though suddenly it the complaint makes a lot more sense). Sounds like a "rub your stomach, pat your head" kind of problem. -
Journey. Enjoyed it though. Played through the whole thing with some random dude.

Might want to make sure that they'll ship the steelbook right away, then. I know Amazon.ca doesn't ship pre-order bonuses in advance. When I pre-ordered mine, I went to ebgames.ca because Amazon.ca didn't mention the steelbook. They now do but they also specify that they'll only ship on release day. So if it's the same for Amazon.com, then you'll probably lose your steelbook if you cancel the PS3 pre-order. They don't ship it right away, but depending on the PC release date I might get the PS3 version. So I know I'll lose it if I cancel, but it's better than nothing (there are no stores in my area that have the preorder deal).

Whoever does your birth certificate chooses (so either your parents or your mom alone usually). *Edit* - At least in the US.
-
I'm guessing because his parents weren't married. WaS: aside from what dean said, the reason it doesn't give you war assets is because Cerberus has it, and you aren't exactly buddies with them. *Edit* - Also, as I said on Twitter, supposedly you could get the best ending in a NG+ without multi, because war assets would carry over, but I started a NG+ and none of my assets did carry over, so it looks to me like Bioware just lied. *Edit 2* - Just looked it up, apparently it is theoretically possible to get the required effective strength for the best ending without multiplayer, but you have to have almost every single war asset, including the ones that are determined by your actions in previous games.

I also preordered AC3 on Amazon to secure a metal case (PS3 since promo doesn't apply to PC), though depending on what they announce regarding PC release date I'll probably cancel my order. Also this:

lol, all the same stuff dean hated Though I agree with the opinion that if you didn't play the DLC (or side-quests, for that matter) it should just act like it didn't happen rather than "you did this."
-
Alright, so what I should probably do is buy recruit packs until I have a decent store of consumables, then start buying Spectre packs.
-
So in multiplayer should I be buying Veteran packs or saving up for Spectre packs?
-
lol, it's okay, I didn't explain it very well.
-
Wow, you completely did not get what I was saying. *Edit* - As I said, I agree with you that it's stupid that multi has an effect on singleplayer. And I don't think you don't get an opinion, I was expressing the view that many devs/publishers seem to take.
-
I completely agree that it's stupid that the multiplayer has such a major effect on the singleplayer (edit: or any effect at all), I'm just saying if you're not buying their game why should they care what you think?
-
To be fair, as a renter you're not really their customer.
