  1. Some things never change... (unrelated to Strange's post)
  2. I hope not, cause then I'd feel bad for blowing off Miranda. I was wearing the hoodie for a while, and I liked it a lot, but I thought it looked too weird in cutscenes when I was talking to people in Alliance uniforms and I'm wearing a hoodie (specifically Admiral Hacket), so I switched back to the uniform. *Edit* - I wish there were actually 3 levels of uniform: combat, non-combat on-duty, and non-combat off-duty.
  3. Oh yeah, a full-fledged console Pokemon at launch would do it too. By "full-fledged" I mean big ass open world RPG, like the handheld ones. *Edit* - That will never ever happen though. *Edit 2* - Though depending on what kind of motion sensing is in that tablet they could potentially do a pretty cool sequel to Pokemon Snap with that thing. That obviously wouldn't be even close to enough to sell me on the console though.
  4. Before reading your explanation about what this is, I seriously thought it was some kind of sex toy.
  5. I lolled when the turian general told me that Garrus was in the weapons room, and that he said something about needing to do some calibrations and Shep was like "That sounds like Garrus."
  6. lmao! (minor spoiler about returning character) *Edit* - Rather, the spoiler is the fact that the character returns, not the thing I noticed about them. *Edit 2* - Also, different spoiler
  7. I still don't think I understand what you mean about handedness. I mean, yes, the face buttons are on the right, which I would guess is due to the fact that most people are right handed, but the DS3 is like that too.
  8. It's got to be dialog options then, cause my Shep never mentioned the kid early in the game either. AFAIK my Shep is the only person in the universe who even knew that kid existed.
  9. Oh okay, it doesn't say that gorillas have more genes in common with us than chimps, it says 15% of our genes are more similar to gorilla genes than they are to chimp genes. They still think we're more closely related to chimpanzees (gorillas split from humans and chimps 10M years ago, humans and chimps split from each other 4M years ago).
  10. Yeah, I'm going to get it, just right now I'm in Mass Effect. If it was discounted I was going to go ahead and buy it now, but since it's not I'll just wait until it either goes on discount or I'm ready to play it.
  11. How is it related to handedness? It's easier to go from the lower position to the upper position with precision than the other way around, no matter which hand you're using. It's also more comfortable to rest your hand in the upper position, no matter which hand you're using. Has nothing to do with handedness.
  12. Huh, maybe it's the dialog options I've been choosing, but my Shep hasn't mentioned the kid once.
  13. Does Shep ever bring up the kid? The only mention I've seen of him since the beginning has been in the dreams.
  14. How big are they? I might be willing to buy the Joker one, honestly.
  15. Yeah, I do really enjoy multiplayer with friends, but the thing is I don't really have friends who play much multiplayer outside of the occasional Starcraft session. We do play coop quite a bit though.
  16. I'm with Johnny, I'm not opposed to the idea of expansion packs for SimCity, it could be done very very well. I'm just doubtful that it actually will be done well.
  17. Is Journey discounted at all for PS+, or just released early?
  18. There actually is a good reason for the offset sticks: The upper position, where the left stick and face buttons are on the 360 controller, is more comfortable to rest your hand on, so really both sticks should be up there if that was all you're using. However, it's easier to make a precision move when going from the lower position to the upper position than vice-versa (i.e. taking your thumb off the right stick to hit a button). Because you need to be able to quickly take your thumb off the stick to make precise button hits, but not the other way around, the face buttons need to be above the stick so you can make that type of move quickly and reliably. On the left side, however, that's not as much of a consideration, so the stick can be in the upper position where it's more comfortable to rest your thumb.
  19. So I know in multiplayer the Widow sniper rifle is amazing, but a word of advice for singleplayer: don't waste your money. It's only advantage over the Manits is that you don't have to reload between every shot, but it does less damage and weighs a shit ton more.
  20. I'm happy that so far I've had one decision from ME1 and one from ME2 make a significant impact on how this is playing out. I'm sure there have been more that impacted it in less obvious ways. *Edit* - I mean this beyond the really obvious ones like whether Kaiden or Ash died.
  21. They could also do stuff before this trilogy. The First Contact War was like 30 years before ME1. *Edit* - I'd like a strategy game set during the First Contact War, with gameplay somewhere between Homeworld and Nexus: the Jupiter Incident.
