Have they fixed the fucked up spindles in SteelBooks? I hate feeling like I'm going to crack the disc in half every time I get it out.
-
lol, after making him way back in 2007 I decided he looked kinda like Bruce Willis, so he became Bruce.
-
That was exactly my thought: waste the time now so I can just jump into the game on Tuesday. Following the instructions here I think I got a pretty damn good result (left is ME2 import, right is ME3 customized):
-
Nope, just checked again, no option to modify imported face on 360.
-
I just confirmed that at least on 360 it gives you one of the defaults if you select custom appearance, it does NOT let you customize your imported face. Could be different on PC. *Edit* - I was able to get a face code on ME2 though by going to custom appearance, then backing out and selecting my imported shep. This is the method that the forum says will give you the face code for the new custom shepard though, not the imported one, so I'm going into ME3 to test. *Edit 2* - Yeah, it just gave me the face code for the new custom Shep.
-
I think ME2 has face codes on 360, I know that ME3 does. But what I read in the comments is that doing what you suggest actually gives you the face code for your custom ME2 face, not the imported face. Either way I'm trying it on 360 now, so we'll see. *Edit* - It's a PITA though because I can't skip any of the cutscenes leading up to the customization option. Luckily though, of my 6 Shepards I will eventually bring in to ME3 only one has a face I care about or can even remember.
-
Are you on PC or 360?
-
Damnit, this will seriously piss me off. Oh well, guess I'll load up my Shep in ME2, take a picture of it, and then look at it while making my ME3 Shep to try to make it as close as I can.
-
I remember on one of my plathroughs Kelly said she would feed my fish, but then they died anyway.
-
Where'd you get this info? It doesn't look like anyone in that thread you linked is aware.
-
Your ship models don't transfer?!
-
I'll agree that someone is more likely to believe something if they find the idea appealing but I don't think you can just outright choose to believe something that doesn't make any sense to you, even if you find it very appealing.

Sexism in the Fighting Game Community
TheMightyEthan replied to Mister Jack's topic in General Gaming Chat
Yeah, I'm with FDS, I don't think there are more people with those views, I think they're just more vocal. Both because of perceived anonymity and because it's perceived as being acceptable (because they're more vocal... chicken and egg thing, really). -
Oh thank god. I would lose my goddamned mind if I couldn't have my ME1 Shepard's face. That face has become Shepard to me.

GOT THE WIDOW!

I will be so pissed if they change the moment-to-moment gameplay. I think it's enough that there are a couple enemy types that are uncounterable.
-
I just think it's not "politically correct" to openly discuss such topics in the US and especially conduct such research. If "snowman" is already a sexist word... you know. That's probably why you haven't heard about such research. I think you have a pretty skewed view of the US in that regard. Whether women can serve effectively in combat roles is actually hotly debated here, and quite openly. The reason there's no research isn't that no one wants to talk about it and potentially discover that women aren't as suited to combat as men (which again, wouldn't surprise me if that were the case in general, but you can't apply generalities like that to individuals), it's that for pretty much forever that's been assumed to be the case and it's only been fairly recently that people have been really questioning it. As for taking things seriously, I consider prejudice in its myriad forms to be a major problem in our society and statements like yours, whether intended to be serious or not, contribute to the perception that it's okay to hold and express such attitudes, which in my opinion is a very bad thing. *Edit* - As for snowman being a sexist term... idk wtf you're talking about. I mean yes, there are some people out on the fringe who think it's sexist to use "man" as a suffix in just about any context, but they are very much the fringe, not the mainstream.

I hadn't heard it before. Sounds interesting.

I don't see Ocarina of Time being the greatest game ever either. It's a really good game, and I still play my GameCube copy from time to time, but it's not the best game ever. I think the appeal for me is just nostalgia combined with the fact that it is a solid game. *Edit* - Back to Uncharted, of the three this was my favorite. Part of that though was that by this point in the series I was used to them starting to rely on goddamn stupid bullet sponges late in the game, so I was less reluctant to turn down the difficulty when it got unfun, thus saving myself from frustration and improving my impression of the game. Oddly, playing through this series has made me both more and less excited for The Last of Us; more because I see that Naughty Dog really can craft a very compelling game, and less because I worry that they'll fall back into the same combat patterns as this. Combat was not Uncharted's strength, though it did improve throughout the series.
-
Oh okay, you were talking about larger design rather than moment-to-moment gameplay. In that case, I agree with you wholeheartedly.
-
It's kind of hypnotic to switch back and forth between the first and 3rd ones, watching Shep change shape...
-
lmao, I was just thinking about that the other day and how I finally understand why Cartman resorted to freezing himself.
-
See, I agree with you up until the gameplay part. I will be extremely disappointed if there are any significant changes to the gameplay. Tweaks and stuff are fine, but nothing that changes the "feel" of it. *Edit* - Though I will say that I was disappointed with the lack of side quests in Revelations. So far Brotherhood has been my favorite of the series.
-
lol @ that top picture. That Redcoat's like "There's something slightly suspicious about this man..."
-
If I were going to pick a religion solely on the appeal of its ideas, I would probably pick something animistic. Or more accurately, I would probably make up my own and borrow a lot of animistic ideas, and probably some reincarnation too. But, like I've said before, belief is an involuntary act, not something that you can choose to do just because it's appealing.
