  1. Man, if I were a math teacher I would totally have problems like that, just because it would be more interesting for the kids so they'd be more likely to learn it.
  2. I think the Zelda series would be better described as a collection of arcs, and while games within an arc are related the arcs don't really bear any relationship to each other.
  3. Disjointed sounds like a fair descriptor to me. As crappy as it was I liked Leonardo's glider. The rest pretty much sucked though.
  4. I have a fairly detailed plan worked out for the event of a zombocalypse. That doesn't mean I think it will really happen.
  5.    They just couldn't give you the satisfaction...
  6. Yeah, everyone except the biased journalists seems to understand that the fact that a thought occurs to you doesn't mean that you would actually do it or don't understand the difference between reality and games. I'm with Tenshi though, reality sucks, fantasy is much better.
  7. Yeah, I mostly ignored the full-sync things, because they're pretty stupid.
  8. While I agree that it's lame, it's kind of theoretical for me for 2 reasons: 1) I almost never buy used games unless they're really old, and 2) I've been playing PC games so long where the whole game is always locked by a code that I'm used to it anyway
  9. Moved all the discussion of the Zelda timeline to its own thread.
  10. Well it's definitely a UK website, but I preordered Arkham City on there with no problem. It's just that some games they have licenses for other countries and some they don't. AC:R just turns out to be one they don't have a license to sell in the US.
  11. See, I loved Brotherhood. I am getting a little sick of Ezio though.
  12. Assassin's Creed Revelations PC version preorder is 20% off on Green Man Gaming. Then you can get ANOTHER 20% off by using the promo-code AUTUM-NSALE-20PEC if you order it before the end of the week. Might be UK only, all I can say for sure is it doesn't work in the US (most of the site does, just that game specifically doesn't).
  13. I went ahead and switched my preorder to PC from PS3.
  14. Yeah, I saw those reports. Hmmm.... Decisions, decisions.
  15. Does anyone know if the PC version of Revelations is going to require the always-on DRM that AC2 and Brotherhood had at first? I'd like to get it on PC, but not with that shit.
  16. Yeah, these PC delays are lame.
  17. Yeah, it's mostly the semi-shady nature of it. I mean, granted the fact that it's from Russia doesn't help, but it's not the deciding factor.
  18. Snowcat Simulator 2011?! I didn't even know the new one was out!
  19. Moved the posts talking about SS's lore into the SS thread.
  20. That sounds cool, though I doubt we'll be creating the Triforce. The creation myth as told in Ocarina of Time (which granted could just be a myth) has the goddesses creating the Triforce immediately after creating the world. However, it's possible this has something to do with how Link, Zelda and Ganon each got bound to the different parts of the Triforce (Courage, Wisdom and Power, respectively), thus creating the reincarnation loop that's been playing out throughout the rest of the series. That's just my idle speculation though.
  21. Joystiq gave it a 4.5/5, and Gametrailers was I think a 9.5/10
  22. But there's no reason you can't have deeper games on a smartphone, and I think that's where we'll head for the most part. Games will continue to get better on phones and as a result fewer people will buy a dedicated handheld game system and the market for that will shrink. I don't think that will hurt anyone but system manufacturers though, as the game makers can just start releasing their games on the phones.
  23. This. I'd be extremely nervous about getting games this way. To the point where I wouldn't be willing to risk even $12 like you said Rage is. I'd probably try it if I could get a new $50 game for $5, but I don't think I'd be willing to risk more than that.
