  1. This. The content of the plot is fairly straight-forward, the actual delivery is a convoluted, nearly incomprehensible mess.
  2. Raptr says I have 191 hours in ME2 and 138 in ME1, and that's only counting since last August when I signed up to Raptr. It's probably only about 40 hours short in ME2, but I bet it's got less than half of my ME1 hours counted.
  3. Oh god yes. Molyneux/Lionhead, I respect that you were trying to get people who don't usually use menus to see the various functions of your game. That's fine. Do that. Just don't TAKE AWAY THE MENU FROM THOSE WHO WANT IT! I fucking hated the Sanctuary so much, it made the simplest things a giant hassle. Also, the "choices" in governing your realm were a joke, but I thought the combat was more or less the same as Fable 2. Overall though it was definitely a step backward. It was kinda like Spore, actually, in that it had some cool ideas that just weren't implemented very well at all.
  4. I thought the plot of Halo 2 was a convoluted, nearly incomprehensible mess. I do agree that the gameplay was better in 2 than 1 though.
  5. You obviously don't understand how the voting worked... *Edit* - Missed a page. Jeez chew, rage much?
  6. I didn't have a Raptr account long enough ago for it to be helpful.
  7. I think (though I could be wrong) that they said that the NGP won't have any physical media, but i don't think they've said whether or not it will be bc with downloadable PSP games.
  8. Dammit, I was looking for a "like this" button, but there wasnt one for it. Maybe I shouldnt be on Facebook so often. You could do the little plus-1 in the bottom right corner.
  9. One of my friends likes the film-grain (on 360) because it disguises the low-res textures and jaggies.
  10. Yeah, this is why I went with PS3, though the single-disc thing was a bonus too. Too bad I haven't been able to play the console-exclusive case because the PSN Store is still down.
  11. I thought those negatives of the landmarks were a really cool touch.
  12. TWSS? I wouldn't call it super short. I had the hints on, and did almost none of the side stuff, stuck purely to the main case lines, and it still took me just over 21 hours. I definitely do not feel like there was not enough content. I already spent another 5 hours doing the street crimes. Now I'm gonna go back and try and five-star all the story cases.
  13. The rest are cool though. I think this one's okay too, because if I'm reading it correctly he's saying that they will actually specifically announce "next year" or "2012" as the release date. Under that reading, if instead they said like "May 2012" he would be wrong, and lose the points.
  14. So, let's get this console war started! GT has a graphics comparison between the two platforms: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/graphics-comparison-l-a-noire/714079 Honestly, I'd say even side-by-side the two are functionally indistinguishable. The 360 it looks like has some slightly more vivid colors, and the lighting/shadows on the PS3 look a little better, but even side-by-side it's barely noticeable, and you'd certainly never catch the differences in any other situation. This is how multiplat titles should be, Rockstar, good job.
  15. Yeah, I heard that in Fable you'll be able to plant a tree and it will grow through the course of the game as time goes on. Seriously though, I would like to see the LA Noire face tech used on a PC where they can actually have some high res textures. It would be amazing. The movement in that game is great, almost all the weirdnesses I noticed were from the textures shifting/stretching oddly.
  16. I would so very much love for this to be true. Or rather, I would love for them to agree on a game standard which they can both make hardware for, like how lots of different companies can make DVD players. This would also be awesome.
  17. Bungie said they won't be at E3, that doesn't necessarily mean that Activision won't announce the game.
  18. Oh, also, (and I freely admit this is just me being anal) can people on the 360 say maybe what desk they're on rather than what disc? Cause on the PS3 it's only one disc so I don't have any idea what part of the game each disc starts or ends at.
  19. For those who might be having trouble finding the Free Roam mode (I sure as hell did), you get to it by going to the cases menu, then at the bottom of each desk's folder there's a free roam option (except the patrol desk). Each desk has its own unique street crimes too, so you'll have to do it for all the desks to get all the street crimes.
  20. I did. Is that the one where If so, I also enjoyed that.
  21. Actually, I've noticed that most of the cutscenes can be skipped. The exception is the cutscene at the beginning of each case. Also, I wanted to add this: (MAJOR ENDING SPOILERS) Oh, and yeah, I think I'll enjoy replaying the cases. I'll definitely turn off all hints the second time around, but I don't think I remember them well enough to take the mystery out of them. I mean, I might remember the end result, but the game is about the process and I really doubt I'll remember the specific process for any given case all that well.
  22. 2 different issues: 1) freezing, which they say is caused by LA Noire, and which has the solution you mentioned 2) overheating, which they're saying isn't caused by LA Noire Also, just beat the game. I loved it. Took me just over 20 hours. I didn't want it to end though. Sony's saying the PS Store should be up next tuesday, so hopefully I'll be able to get my pre-order cases then.
  23. lol, is that an easter egg or did someone mod the game?
  24. Just finished LA Noire. I wish there was more... not because there's not enough there, but because I love solving the cases so much that I just want to keep doing it.
