The end of Shadow of the Colossus. I think that's the only game that has affected me even CLOSE to enough to make me cry.

You can play in Rome after the end, but you cannot play in the Real World. So if there's anything you want to do as Desmond, you have to do it before the end. And a word of warning, it starts railroading you through at like the end of Chapter 8, so do whatever you want to do with Desmond before then.

While I agree with you in theory, in practice there are certain genres (such as simulation racers) that I just dislike, and so while I won't write off a game entirely simply because it's in that genre, it does mean that the game has a higher threshold to reach before I'll be interested enough to try it.

Don't forget he's talking about the PC beta. There might be a glitch. But yeah, even a fully-upgraded assassin shouldn't be able to face-grapple a gunner and kill him if he's at full health. And dean, you can tell whether you got grappled from the front or back because the animation is different. If in the canned animation the assassin is attacking from the front then you got front-grappled, but if they are attacking from behind you got back-grappled.

No, the animation is part of the point. Assassin's aren't supposed to be mindless killing machines. The animation is SUPPOSED to allow the victim's teammate's to save him if the assassin is stupid and tries to kill someone in the middle of a group.

Actually no, it used to be much more cluttered then that, but I cleaned it up because the clutter bothered me. Everything I launch with any regularity is either pinned to the taskbar (Chrome and Thunderbird) or is on my commonly used programs on my start menu, or in the case of games I use Steam to launch them (even the non-Steam games). The desktop is the least efficient way for me to access programs because then I have to minimize things to get them out of the way. It's faster just to use the start menu/task bar.

I agree. And my understanding of it is that there are no separate multiplayer and singleplayer modes. If you're playing the game and are connected to the internet, you are playing multiplayer. I could be wrong about that though.

It could be that your connection is interacting weirdly with the netcode of the game, so it's kind of your connection's fault, and kind of not.
