  1. It doesn't feel that frequent to me, just a couple fights per area, with much more time spent exploring/puzzle solving, but yeah things could definitely change later in the game.
  2. So Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble stealth released a few days ago. I loved the first, so I picked up this one on Switch as well.
  3. Cool related anecdote: in Jurassic Park, way back in 1993, in the scene where they're in the vents and the velociraptors jump up at the ceiling and the girl almost falls, the stunt double accidentally looked straight up at the camera on accident, but rather than re-shoot they had their animators paste the real actress' face onto her. Yet more CGI ground that movie broke.
  4. Yeah, I fully admit it makes no sense whatsoever. They're both JRPGs, and I guess they kind of have the friendship theme in common, but as I understand it that's about the extent of it.
  5. @deanb So you'd recommend it? I got the Humble Monthly for Hellblade, and I hadn't decided whether to play Moonlighter or not since that came with it. On that note, I'm playing Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. It is so, so pretty. Some of the best, if not the best, characters I've ever seen in a game. It also has the best HDR implementation I've ever seen in a game, the colors are all fantastic and it really lets you see a lot more detail in the world, which is also fantastically crafted, at least as nice looking as God of War (although on a much smaller scale). The audio is also amazing, definitely play it with a straight stereo feed into your headphones, the built-in binaural audio is way better than any external surround sound processing. You really feel like the voices are whispering right in your ear. The game design is great too, it really plays in with the hallucinations in a way that feels consistent and natural while also making good puzzles. I can't really go into detail without spoiling the mechanics, and the surprise the first time you encounter each one is worth preserving. Combat is fine, but it's also a really minor part of the game so fine is good enough.
  6. Ah, aha, I'm tracking now!
  7. lol, who is that referring to?
  8. I just finished Persona 5's NG+, and for whatever reason that game was really making me want Final Fantasy XV...
  9. Finally got the Platinum in Persona 5. Now I'm ready for P5R! Hell yeah!
  10. You are a stronger man than I. I played most of the game in handheld mode, but as soon as I got to one of those puzzles I'd pop off the joycons and set the Switch up on a table.
  11. I'm guessing the Lite is the rumored update. It's not for me, but it makes sense. I'm also kind of glad they aren't making a Pro, because I would be so tempted to upgrade. I don't think the lack of a Wii Pro or a Wii U Pro is really much to go by though, because before this generation mid-gen upgrades hadn't really been a thing for anybody (unless you count the Sega CD). I can think of a couple of the shrines in Breath of the Wild though that would be almost impossible without being able to detach the joycons, because you have to move them around so much and with the joycons attached that means turning the whole console upside down or whatever.
  12. Yeah, I played Yooka-Laylee enough to get through the first world and felt like that was enough.
  13. I love those moments of "God, past me was an idiot!"
  14. I agree, I don't like watching movies, or even TV shows, on small screens.
  15. Yeah, I don't understand why it's constantly resetting your weapons, rather than just defaulting to whatever you had last. It never failed that I'd start a mission and get halfway through it and then realize I didn't have the gun I wanted.
  16. @FLD Yeah, I've tried that game twice and bounced off it both times. It's gorgeous, but I just don't enjoy it. I'm glad you are though. ?
  17. Frostpunk It's a cool take on city-builders, though as is often the case with the genre, I feel like it could use a more in-depth tutorial.
  18. Holy crap yeah, I love the idea of it not really being Ganondorf, but Malice inhabiting his corpse.
  19. Yeah, now that I watch it again I agree it looks like Ganon, it just didn't strike me that way when I watched it the first time.
  20. Is it actually Ganon? I wasn't clear on that. I guess it could be kind of like the next stage of a multi-stage boss...
  21. OH FUCK TO THE YES!
  22. Deathloop is definitely the thing I'm most excited about from E3 so far.
  23. Yeah, I'm in a weird place with upgrading, because I've got a 1080 now, and I usually like to go more than a couple generations between graphics cards, but I don't think this will cut it for next gen...
