The story is going to be grim... And you know Link's final level. I want some BotW2 news...
-
I might have shown this dude before but he runs a pest extermination business with minks and/or dogs with great success. So yeah, warning for the light stomach. In a day's work, the minks/dogs can absolutely cull/eliminate a rat infestation. In the past 6-12 months he has been trying to train a monitor lizard to do the same. It worked. The crazy SOB did it. The monitor lizard is a bit harder to have it let go of a kill, takes longer to kill and has the drawbacks (?) of being a reptile but it's wicked fast and smart.

This might be it.

Vtubers are a thing I'm slowly watching. You never quite know how's things are going to go, it's really not unlike good old regular streams/Let's Plays (think of all the big Twitch streamers). Only tech now allows for avatars now rather than just listening to a voice or seeing a webcam. Pikamee is probably the better ones for us English speakers to follow since she does know English (born in Texas, family moved back to Japan). It's fascinating to hear her swapping between Japanese and English on the fly. Plus she has quite the unique laugh. I'll leave this post with just her. Notice how she doesn't add an accent when swapping to English! In the above she does so when speaking to another Japanese player.

Games You've Bought Episode MMXX: Revenge of the Backlog
Mal replied to MetalCaveman's topic in General Gaming Chat
Play the original with PhysX and downscaling. Really gorgeous that way. -
You shall be using that TV a decade from now.

I've debated about getting that or the Samsung Tab S6 for drawing. The Kamvas and the like are tied to a computer while the Tab S6 can roam free. If I had the fuck-you money for an iPad Pro (I use one for work and I recognize how good it is with the pen since I sketch out a lot of things) then sure but I don't...

Oh my God! The outro referenced the intro to the best TV/movie adaptation for The Journey to the West!
-
Seems to be an reimagination of the Journey to the West myth/story. Of course they leave the more hype stuff towards the end (basically shows him in the process of lowkey Kratos-ing heaven). Not sure if I'll really like the gameplay (whenever and if it comes out... especially here), but something to look forward to.

I look forward to that day. Shit's wild and goes way beyond the likes of The Three Kingdoms Period. Also can you imagine games based off of say HK Kung Fu cinema? We already got a cop story with Sleeping Dog (some older titles also were inspired by them) but event that genre can be explored more.

I may be kind of lukewarm to Octopath Traveler but I will never give shit to the boss theme and how it evolves. I still think back to it! And Tressa's story could be its own game.

Realization: Kamala Harris would probably be better than Joe Biden. I wouldn't say that for any past president in my lifetime.
-
I had to look up who Hillary's running mate was. The more I look at the choice (Tim Kaine) the more unbelievable bad it was. Also I got to say, even though it's still fresh, all this talk about Kamala Harris makes you think she's the presidental nominee. I didn't expect this sort of intensity. Maybe it's because I'm from the Bay Area? How's the discussion about Harris in other parts of the country?
-
Ratchet and Clank probably wouldn't fit with me too well now (quite grindy in the bad way) but teenage me, fuck yes. Loved those games. It's a series of a different era/for a different age. Fond memories but not one that I want to relive.

Like sure, I probably won't sleep under the shade of Progress but it been 50-60 years since the Civil Rights Movement. I should live into the 2060's. At that point if we're still in whatever we are in, you got to stop and go: Then egg your grandchildren to start shit.

Of course it's a Biden/Harris ticket. Not sure how that will play out but if Biden doesn't come back for 2024 (it's very likely Biden's a one term) it'll be Kamala who don't have the views and stances that I am looking for in a president moving forward. Though, everything is subject to change. Also I guess this hedges DNC's bet. If Harris fizzle out, there can always be a challenger. Edit: One thing that's probably not going to be talked about on the national stage is how picking Kamala is going to affect California politics. California's governor Gavin Newsom is probably going to gun for Kamala's seat which would give him a foot in the national stage. Guy want's to climb. He's kind of a floppy noodle though. Not sure if being in Washington is going to change him any. If anything he'd turn into the establishment... but he would be overall alright (his overall performance on COVID is alright. Again, flip floppy though). Nothing exciting though. IDK who would take Gavin's governor position.

Edit: Youtube, what the fuck?

Still blows my mind that they (Trump's base and the Republican Party) chose him of all people to die for. Like put aside the following from the article I posted: You can have multiple other similarly sized allegations (I'm tossing him a bone here), with quotes and record of actions, of how poorly he runs his businesses, how un-Christian he is and MANY other things. He's far from a good and able person by any means. The next six months is going to a show.

This is going to be fun. We have a summer surge and will have a school surge and winter surge. Simply put, it's hard to not be really disillusioned (more than I had) with this fucking country. And yeah, that 40-45% is his base. Most of them can be on their death bed, lying prone with a tube stuck down their mouths and they won't reconsider their choices.

https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2020/09/coronavirus-american-failure/614191/ The article to describe and explain the American experience during this pandemic. At least for this moment but this article will be the base which future articles will grow from. This is the sort that you give to people years after this is over and they want to know what's on most of our minds (barring personal experience) when things went to hell. Well, back to hoofing this moment.

https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/07/30/896714437/3-months-of-hell-u-s-economys-worst-quarter-ever Kind of to be expected but I think it'll get deeper. Our aid was spotty and with much of it aimed to the wrong places. Our responses to the pandemic as a whole is legendarily bad considering the resources and expertise we have. We're in for a long one, one that I wouldn't be surprised that is mostly focused on the US.

Pretty sure there was a board game. Now we got a RTS. Hopefully it's good?

Cowboy Bebob OSTs are on Spotify now and life is a bit better.
