Once again I post this. As an aside, yeah, the band members of Iced Earth may be red hats. I know at least Jon Schaffer (guitarist, he's style can be recongized pretty easily) is/was a Trump supporter. ?

This post probably better served in the US politics thread but since it's all stems from COVID-19... If anything, he's spying on Obama and Hillary. He has the potential to do such thing, yes. Fuck, didn't he kind of imply/state that he did with his Twitter tirade with Obamagate or whatever shit it was from just yesterday? Anyhow, I find it kind of hilarious (I feel terrible for those who has no hand in this) that it seems like the White House is having an outbreak.

Honestly, this is probably one of my better saves. I didn't take a picture of the dry dough but it was like a damp clump of crumbs. I cut it up then toss back into the stand mixer with 1/4 cup of water to hydrate but it was too much. The dough wouldn't come back together so I added bit of AP flour in small quantities till it came together and looked about right. Tossed it back into the fridge to rise then proceed as normal. I probably should have proofed them for two hours instead of one though. I think my sour dough experience helped me to save this. Making sour dough bread allows you to play around so much. Mixing different flours in different ratios while changing up the hydration. The only things that remain constant were how much flour(s), how much starter and how much salt for the amount of bread you wanted.

With Inuyasha back soon, maybe we'll get bangers of ending themes. Inuyasha has an extremely strong lineup.

Holy shit, Inuyasha is going to have a sequel. Going the Boruto route with the kids of the main cast. Going to be interesting... I also probably should finish Inuyasha. It honestly wasn't bad.

Had a go with The Electric State. It's a narrative art book, basically a picture book but with a sci-fi story. Overall I like the basis of the story. It helps that it takes place in what was California so I know and feel all the illustrations. I'm not sure if book layout was taken full advantage of though. The text and images depict the same thing which I'm not sure if all pairs were successful in portraying the subjects of said text and images. The text can say extra things that are not in the image. But yeah, I'm so game for this kind of format.

In This Corner of the World My heart. Suzu is adorable (and honestly kind of complex) and I'm heartbroken she went through such shit. Hell, practically all the characters did, considering where they were at*. Yet they persevered. It's a sad yet heartwarming story. I recommend it even more repeat viewings (it's a pretty movie) unlike say Graves of the Fireflies. That movie you only watch once. I do have to say, this movie portrays the characters' reactions to Japan's surrender. I found it humbling and I cannot help but compare it to say our current predicament as in you sacrifice so much yet it didn't matter. What was the purpose of it all? I think I'll read the manga as well since the art is so nice. Plus I got In This Corner (and Other Corners) of the World, the extended movie, to look forward to whenever it gets subbed or whatever. * There are dates to give notice of passage of time. Knowing how the war in the Pacific turned out makes each passing moment more distressing. Even the setting of the town and cities makes me felt uneasy.

This has been in my recommendations for a long time. Finally gave it a listen. I only held off since I was expecting screamo but no! It's great! Clean vocals styled with old school metal (the band was formed back in 1987 by the bassist and guitarist/vocal). Seems like they're having a blast. If only all of us can have such fun.

In good (?) news, all this SIP slammed shut the flu season in at least Queensland. Bad news is... you know. Wouldn't be funny if we somehow managed to squash all existing flu strains?

That's why we have each other, dahling. ? I personally have a set area for placing my turnips so I'm capped at about 1.8 million bells worth of turnips. A bad week won't completely wipe me out, besides, I paid off all my loans. It's just all money to move things around and for buying stuff (some of the twins stuff after the upgrade cost a pretty penny). My current routine is pretty lax now. I do what I want to do, fossils or whatever else be damned then stop. Most pressing thing now is to check turnip prices in the morning and in the afternoon. After selling, it's all really a whole lot of nothing. Lots of shopping and lots of planning. This island is going to be perfect!

Tinfoil: I think he probably had a Corona scare, one of his bodyguards tested positive, which led to him probably taking hydroxychloroquine. He should know better but if Dear Leader wants it, he gets it. So in it goes and out comes the heart issues. Wasn't enough to off or harm him too bad but enough to cause his 21 days of absence. Or/and he got and recovered from COVID-19. Nothing too bad (think Boris Johnson level of sick) but enough to harm his image if he shows up sick. Anyhoo... I'm wondering if this can/will cause friction between the two. Their uncle was blasted by an AA gun... So juicy.

I can't wait for the SARS-COV-2 special. ? Anyhow, if you never have read the Nausicca manga, I really think it's worth your time. It fleshs out the movie quite a bit (it supercedes it) and it's Hayao Miyazaki in a different format than most are used to (even himself since it shows with the formatting). If possible, get the physical copy. While it does have some typos (I think) for a pricey collection, it's a worthy addition to any collection. Large format (same original print size as the Berserk/Hellsing special editions) in two volumes. Speaking of Berserk... Those special volumes is like the first time I read Berserk physically. Like wow, they're not blurry mess! Drop dead gorgeous. Still find it funny (wasn't as funny when I first started it since you know, first impressions) how first thing we see is Gut's ass as he fuck and kill the apostle. What an opening sequence. Legend.

This sort of data, excessive deaths, from FT and other collaborators at other outlets is probably something to watch. COVID-19 deaths is a good measure to watch but excessive deaths of all types is probably the best. It probably paints a picture including who weren't tested and those who probably wouldn't have died if the pandemic wasn't going on.

Word from like China /East Asia is that he's a vegetable now or at the very least he's unresponsive. Chinese doctors were rushed in like a day or two ago. If he's out of the picture (dead or alive), shit is about to get wild. Kim Jong Un got a sister who can take over but rumor is (unknown how sexism plays a role) that she takes the cake as most bat shit insane of all of the Kims. So there is that or a power struggle during a pandemic. So yeah, international politics might get interesting soon. Not like it's not so already...

Is it? I haven't heard of it yet and something like that would be all over Twitter. The way I see it, it's just that they want people back to work for their convenience and their pleasure. The people that do the jobs they want are quite frequently minorities and/or poor people. It's basically wanting the have-nots to sacrifice for the rich. To be fair though, I think a fair amount of the poor are willingly sacrificing themselves for the rich. Fucking madness. Ranting now to blow off steam. Ignore if you want. Of course, there is the real desire for things to go back to normal and for people to work so they can afford to live (26.5 million people filed for unemployment in the last five weeks). The folks that want that seems a bit scarce in the protests. Most people understand the need for such physical distancing measures but it is frustrating. My frustration though is not so much towards the SIP orders but the abysmal government response to help those in need. This situation is extraordinary so requires extraordinary measures. So far it has been half-measures that kicks down the problem down the road. Like how the fuck is anyone going to come up with X months of bills, rent or mortgage payments? I truly believe we need to lock down loans, bills and mortgages which in turn knock down payments and rent for the duration of this crisis. Just have people focus on staying healthy so when the times comes, we can slowly go back to do what we were doing... mostly. You're doing fine? Great! Enjoy the stimulus checks or return them. I don't care since it seems pointless to give it back for 1:1 tax credits unless it favors the tax payer like say 1:2, might be helpful for people who owe (back)taxes. This virus is very real. You only have to look at Wuhan, Lombardy, Spain and NYC, among many other places. It has the ability to bring HC systems to their knees. With that said, I do not believe it circulated outside of China say before mid- to late-January in any meaningful way. It somehow went unchecked without slamming us? I just don't buy it from just that angle. Then you add in the sequenced genomes of different outbreaks separated by time and space. So yeah, I doubt anyone who had a bad flu late last year had it (it would include myself, I remember it since it was pretty shitty and it went through my family, bouncing around like crazy). My confidence lessens for illness back in late Jan/early Feb but I still find it unlikely since it can be the same flu that went around.
