Blade Runner 2049 My god, what has humans done to southern California? Eternally covered in clouds dropping down natural precipitation or dust. We only ever got a taste of the Blade Runner world in the original but really brings it to life though probably not as personal as in the original. There were some shots that I wished I was in an IMAX theater to watch. The story was nice and I personally liked most of the characters but some leave a bit to be desired. In many ways they leave themselves possibilities of a sequel. Which is fine I guess. Edit: I guess I should also address the cyberpunk-ness of the movie. Visuals are fine, as stated above. The themes explored in the story though could use more, well, exploration. I feel some other movies and TV series probably done some of the themes in better.

Arc is only publishing. The devs are the one who made the Little Witch Academia game. It looked and sounded great but the game leaves a lot to be desired from what I hear.

Good move but just short of greatness that is addressing asset flips. Though, I guess doing that probably is going against what I posted before, however, asset flips are kind of like fake games.

Story DLC and supposedly a pretty sizeable one at that. Prequel so you technically could play this before the main game.

Can't say much without spoilers but I am actually kind of hyped for this.

I am a bit bummed that it's an exclusive but it totally works because I do kind of want a PS4/5 now (along for other reasons). Xbox though? I really do think they have abandoned ship.

So, from what I hear, people who seen the closed door gameplay are creaming themselves five times in a row. I WANT TO BELIEVE. Anyhow, some info: What the fuck did they do to San Luis Obispo? Or is it Salinas? Bakerfield? Fresno? It got to be Fresno.

There should be an alternative style but I haven't seen it demoed yet. Some better gameplay.

When everything has RPG elements, it's refreshing to see something that does not.

I'm not too sure if I want something like Crysis, something that required FutureTech to run well. Hell, even today you can run into trouble (i.e., frame drops and such) with even the best on the market since it was developed under the assumption that clock speeds would massively improve. What we actually got was more cores. I look at it this way: Consoles are glorified PCs (excluding the Switch), especially with the current generation. I'm not saying this as a demeaning thing. It allows for a more freer flow of games that resulted in some truly unthinkable ports to come along. This applies to both directions but it probably means more with the PC. A game kind of lives forever on PC, be it through ports or emulation. To me, that's a major part of it's beauty. In other news: Protect

If you are planning to play the main game then I suggest to NOT watch this. Spoilers. But yes, this fleshes out Torna and the people (and blades) who were there. We actually see a face. Also gives the best waifu of the game some characterization. All in what seems to be a sizeable standalone expansion.

Going to clone my current SSD to make a new boot drive. Someday down the line I'll get a multi-TB HDD (or two, RAID is possible) to move stuff into for storage and as a data security measure. THEN I will look into a cheaper 1-2TB SSD for games.
