I have to admit, I did have some doubts as to Relic would actually make it good on the PC. After playing the demo, they have more than proved that they can. The controls on the PC feel natural and easy to use, and they got sprinting down to an art (as opposed to Gears of War where you could only sprint in one direction; which, honestly, was very awkward). And the executions. Oh, man, the executions, especially with the power axe. Reminds me of why I love WH40K and more. My only regret is that they didn't feature the Heavy Bolter in the demo, but it just gives me more reason to buy it.

Ah, this thread. This will most likely become an outlet for my rants coming up soon. It would appear that I have signed a lease with an apartment who I only realized today had a very crappy reputation. Among which are bad security, loud noises, and horrible management. This year is going to suck.

Does anyone know how to get the damn harpy traps to work in Witcher 2? I've all but given up on it and moved on with the story by now, but I'm still curious. Has anyone figured out how to use them?

Wow, a reunion thread! Except I found reddit after I found Kotaku, so my username on reddit is completely different from Kotaku. I would wish it was the other way around, but then I wouldn't have found all you fantastic folks to converse, cajole, and discuss games with.

Anyone watch Extra Credits? They've had their contract terminated by Escapist and are looking for a new group to pick them up. Until then, they'll air their episodes on YouTube.

Read into both sides. Apparently the EC guys are also being dicks out of the blue (if the Escapist's statement is to be believed).
Sounds like there's poor communication between the two of them. They oughta get that sorted out before either side taking their ball and going home.

From what I hear, the police aren't intervening in order to not appear "heavy-handed" and have ruled out using water cannons as crowd control. Can't they use gas grenades, or even rubber bullets? It's not like they're going to open fire with live ammunition into a crowd of rioters, for crying out loud. People are having their livelihoods destroyed here.

You can always watch using a proxy like surfagain.com or something. That was the primary method of viewing for non-US people in the thread I found it on.

Anyone know how the Steel Storm map editor works? I've been working on my own campaign, but can't seem to figure out how to make triggers work, likewise with the exit pads.

From what I understand of it, they aren't even suing him yet. They're just using the threat of legal action to try to have him change the name. This whole situation is just brewing out to be another repeat Tim Langdell case, only with different people.

You know, when I saw the first reveal trailer for Brink, I actually thought that it was a single-player FPS/RPG hybrid from Bethesda. The Ark is large, and there are lots of places to explore and people to interact with. The audio logs also have a great deal of backstory to them. I wonder if it would have been better off that way. Given, what it is now isn't all that bad (not all that great, either), but the setting just seemed so primed for a singleplayer game.

I actually did finish it once, crazy as that sounds, on Adult Swim. Then I realized that while they did finish the anime, they never really finished the entire story (kind of anticlimactic given how many episodes the series ran for). I think the remaining episodes were created and released as Inuyasha: Final Act or something like that. 26 episodes that finally closed the whole dang story, methinks. Anyways, been watching my animes, nothing of worth to report. I did watch the most recent Hanasaku Iroha, and had something to say about it, but it eludes me now. Can't wait until Fall, though, that one's going to be one fun season chock full of stuff.

Among other things, I, too, have played Borderlands. I also have a number of complaints, some of which have been said by people here already: -Ending sucked ass (THEVAULTISALIE) -Gun designs suck (in my opinion, they looked butt-ugly. Maybe if they used gun designs from Brink or something, that would be nice) -Lackluster enemies (though the bosses were pretty good) -Combat, at times, felt tedious -Monochrome color scheme. If I wanted to stare at a desert, then I'd probably go look at pictures of a desert. Though after seeing the GI preview on Borderlands 2, it looks like they're going to fix several of them, along with adding some new stuff.

Depending on how adverse the changes are, I may or may not pick this game up. The gameplay style of the Monk has piqued me very much, and I've always preferred hand-to-hand combat classes above all else in RPGs (where applicable, as not many RPGs like to use fists as primary weapons for a class).

Judging by the recent hash of Diablo 3 news, it would seem that Blizzard is only Blizzard in name now. Activision has now wholly absorbed them into their massive profit machine.

I swear only within certain groups of friends and acquaintances and close family members. I do not swear in public out of respect for others. That's pretty much it. Unless we are arguing about the semantics of profanity or something, then I have about nothing to say about it, really.

That video is super-old, dean, and work on the mod seems to have stopped since September of last year. Still hoping it would come out, though.

So many names with "kamisama" in them this season. Kami-sama no Memechou Kamisama Dolls Actually, I think that's it. But I actually thought they were the same thing at one time.
