It's purely off GPS, which I believe in personal/commercial grade only goes to an accuracy of 8m (which tbh is still pretty dang good) which is why Google augment theirs with wi-fi spots. Remember you need the app open and active for it to record stuff. My little sister had grabbed it but said it wasn't working, I asked where she was walking "up and down dads house". I'm like "You know you need to be at the scale of walking up and down his street, and beyond". Absolutely massive difference between cities and rural areas in saturation of poke stops and gyms. I'll be honest I was surprised my mums ex-colliery village had 3 stops and a gym (two of which were mining memorials, the other a graveyard gate and a post office). But you're fucked for pokemon choice, mainly the basic pidgeys, rattatas etc. At least in a city it's easy to travel to areas with the rarer stuff, especially as they tend to only spawn near stops (Though I'm suspecting they're starting to spawn them near people too, my grans village which had jack all spawned magikarp n stuff right outside her house.

Ooooh.

According to Sean Murray the patent stuff is bullshit.

From Comic Con we so far have: Luke Cage: Iron Fist: and a Defenders teaser: No Thor Ragnarok or Doctor Strange yet though. But there's more days I guess and this is all explicitly Netflix stuff. Oh yeah a Ghost Rider teaser for Agents of Shield (I need to wrap up series 3): I guess this ruins my "explicitly Netflix stuff" theory.

Starting to flesh out the story somewhat than just the 'hey it's more of the HP universe" stuff they've had so far. I'm certainly up for giving it a shot, HP films have never really done a "bad one" so doubt they'll start now.

Two tasty treats for you from SDCC: Wonder Woman Similar vein as First Avenger I guess in going back to WWII era and maybe establishing some of the stuff for Justice League. Speaking of which: Looks a bit more promising, and going with strengths n focusing on Batman. Not sure on Flash n Cyborg but I think Kahl Drogo will be kinda cool, especially playing with the "You speak with fish" line on the end.

Just go to the shop right away. It'll be there to collect, n more if you still have it 16 hrs later.

So the trailer is now out for this from SDCC. Looking like a pretty great cast showing in it so far. I felt the book had a bit of whimper, but they might polish it up for the TV show. Gaiman stuff has generally done well for adaptations, so might do quite well. Nice to have shows with a begining middle n end, instead of long ongoing arcs.

I'm on Team Instinct, added a poll up above. "There is no shelter from the storm" There's a video circling about that's a rush of people rushing to get a Vaporeon at Central Park. I'm on mobile so PITA to find n share but I'll throw it up tomorrow, along with a pciture of the inaugral 30 person Team Instinct Newcastle walkabout. I wasn't around but will be joining our second on Monday evening. I don't hugely botherr with the gyms, though since I've been in tthe countryside captured a couple to get the coins from just cos they're usually weaker pokemon and usually not like 10 other people around immediatly jumping on it like in Newcastle. Lots of bugs still in this, but starting to decline and more consistent uptime of late. I imagine now the global roll out is presumably finished with Japan we'll see their focus shift to fixes and sttabilitty, then rolling out more features and pokemon.

Been out with my gran shopping. Picked up a copy of The Martian book from a charity shop. Figured while I can stick it on my Kindle, I can lend out a physical copy of the book. But the main thing I picked up was an Illustrated Enciclopedia of Tolkien. It's published 1991 but you'd figure it was from last year it was in such good nick. My gran was having a good ogle at the pictures inside, they're a nice variety of mixes throughout depending on the topic. My younger sister started reading The Martian. "This has the f word as the first word Dean!". "Yeah he's stranded on another planet, fair place to say it"

I've downloaded the F2P version but yet to load it up yet given Witcher 3 n holidays. But hey it's free so I'm up for giving a whirl.
-
I too picked up the $1 tier (which changed from 75p to 76p in the space of a day) but more for Spec Ops: The Line which I've heard good things for and a few pence is worth throwing at it, I guess I can shoot at DNF too. The other tiers there's nothing except Mafia II I'm vaguely interested in that I don't already own.

Yeah win is pretty sweet for home brew. We had one kicking around so did the letter bomb thing on it.

It's $60 in US, I believe, and £50 in UK (pre-orders went up earlier today). Which works out at a a smidge under £2 a game if you discount the hardware. Obviously the option is always there to emulate, you can get a RPi for £25 (heck the Pi Zero would likely do and that's only £5) and that'll run a NES emu fine, but it doesn't have a nice case, nostalgic controllers and requires technical knowledge to set up. Which for likes of my step-mum is a bit meh.

Come and get your love.
-
Well my step-mum is super excited for this if only for Donkey Kong, Super Mario n Pacman.

They're on almost constantly around town, especially anywhere students congregate, and the local park n stadium too (which I just got a Parasect from today).

https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Misc-/Nintendo-Classic-Mini/Nintendo-Classic-Mini-Nintendo-Entertainment-System-1124287.html I guess with the failure of the Wii U Nintendo are going to to what works.

All of those are from the DLC though (and tbh a couple of them are quite overt given he's actively a guest at the wedding n there's several scenes with him chatting with guests n such). He's specifically a merchant in White Orchard you ask about for Yennifer who tells you to check the Nilfgard camp. Which I guess is why he wasn't very memorable compared to like the dwarven blacksmith, gay hunter, etc

http://store.steampowered.com/news/22883/ Valve actually responded to the whole CSGO gambling thing that's been going around of late. Which is surprising, they're normally quiet most of the time (which I think is getting more and more of a problem tbh). But I guess the end bit threatening legal action is likely why they're publicly responding to the issue.

That voice isn't gravelly enough at all. It's almost poppy.
