Oooh. Launch Trailer gives away a fair bit in regards to plot I guess*. Also shows off a chunk of female player too which is slightly uncommon. HYYPPEE *Which given we have next to nothing so far was always gonna happen. Anyone playing Fallout 3 will have a fair idea of a chunk of the plot. Edit: I've been mulling over playing as a woman in this. Be interesting to see how it plays out.

Doc Martin is fun. Weird to see Martin Clunes in a slightly more series role after Men Behaving Badly, though I'd seen him in A Is For Acid before then which is pretty disturbing (even more so as it's based on true story) Anywho, BBC are making His Dark Materials for TV: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2015-11-03/philip-pullmans-fantasy-series-his-dark-materials-is-being-adapted-for-bbc1 Also BBC now have a digital store. https://store.bbc.com Dunno if Americans can access it (I know they carry on banging on about having international access to iPlayer with a paid-for model)

One of the neat changes revealed in the leaks is the change to how radiation sickness is handled. If you've played Fallout Shelter it's much the same: You gain radiation, it chews into your HP bar and adds a semi-permanent handicap on total HP until you pop some radaway. Playing New Vegas atm and radiation is a bit of a joke, can take a fair bit of rads and it doesn't really affect you much unless you take on a crap ton of radiation which is fairly rare. Can jump around old nuclear craters and be fine. Also folks are complaining this whole "can cross the map in 12 minutes" stuff, but I watch the video and that's still a fair range. New Vegas would only take longer cos there's a bunch of mountains in the way (where there isn't weird polygonal gaps in them ). Once you're criss crossing places, and not just walking past buildings, vaults and caves but actually going in and digging about the exploration alone will be many hours. I'm 100hrs into current New Vegas run and got a few places still unexplored (and Sierra Madre cos I went there and nope..might retry maybe).

Designed to work with the pipboy if you splashed out on collectors edition, or just as a regular second screen if not. Atm it'll run in "demo" mode. Fiddle around and there's a mini-game "Atomic Command" in there.

So there was a thread on Reddit discussing dialogue choices and unexpected outcomes (stemming from Fallout 4 going with convo wheel like Mass Effect). Get usual responses like LA Noire with it's "doubt" and..well Mass Effect too. One brought up is Wolf Among Us as folks are complaining you pick an option "Glass Him" and you...well glass him. This lead to a lot of "well durr" responses, but became apparent it seems in the US you're not overly familiar with the term. I guess when you've got guns don't need to smash a glass on a bar n stab someone in the face. Apparently we have 87,000 glassing incidents in the UK (one of our more famous is Sean Bean, who got glassed then continued his date with a playboy bunny cos he's Sean Bean). (Also TIL that the reason I'm reading Fables and going "huh Bigby looks like that guy from Wolf Among Us" is cos they're the same character. Weird to not call it "Fables: The Wolf Among Us" or something that'd clue you in to the franchise it's in like "The Walking Dead" or "Tales From the Borderlands" or "Minecraft: Storymode").

Oh god I hate this at work. I'll end up getting our web dev, who works remotely, on Hangouts with a screenshare set up going "this function isn't working right, look see...oh..well works now toodles". (though he understands the concept) And I'll give TFGs fix a shot when I'm back home.

I think it got a recent update that's meant to make it better to play on your own. I'm just pottering about in New Vegas atm but could fill in next few days with some SWOTOR? (Or Magicka 2...)

BBC posted about it other month so yeah she's leaving this series: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/doctorwho/entries/2a2689a8-5c52-46af-8e69-2fad42c46da3 She's generally adamant she'll be hanging out with him forever so I doubt it'll be a semi-mutual break up like Martha/Donna but more of a forced separation like Ponds/Rose. Though unlikely to be a death since we're kinda pushing a "death isn't working right" theme in this one.

She's just not hugely keen on her, finds her annoying and not much growth. Personally I find she's the most recent in string of companions that're "destined" for stuff which happens in first series then never comes up much again e.g: Rose - Badwolf (though that does crop up again) Amy - Cracks/Silence Clara - Impossible Girl Ideally she'd have jumped in his timestream and that'd be it she'd be gone to maybe pop up as other versions of herself down the line. Personally I wish they'd just have companions being companions instead of tied in with prophetic mumbo jumbo (current being "the hybrid").

So this weeks was I believe about islamophobia, but it was a very subtle theme. These radicalised Zygons. I am liking all the episodes this series being two parters, harks back to the older Doctor Who days a bit. Also a reduced Clara presence too which housemate is happy with.

Also laser sounds /way/ off and I'm kinda hoping that's an early bug that'll be patched. Super Mutants seem kinda weak too, but might be playing on easy. The footage itself has been uploaded n downloaded a few times I think before landing on Youtube so it's not the best quality. Since I'm wrapped up for DA:I n such I'm jumping into New Vegas for a chunk, though I think I had some mods loaded in cos it's complaining at start up I'm missing stuff. Looks like trash, might get some texture mods or something tonight to spruce it up a bit.
