  1. Have an SSD, running Windows 10, Explorer takes up to a minute to open. Not an issue on Windows 10 machine at work (which isn't an SSD either). Any clues?
  2. Dragon Age Inquisition. Good to get a big RPG wrapped up and out the way before starting on another. Not as good as DA:O, but still pretty solid. Kinda bummed for most part your party is largely AI controlled, but the fights go past so fast it'd be a nightmare to control tactically like DA:O. My Inquisitor went a bit funky towards the end, in fact the whole thing seems like a set-up for like DA 4 to be all "and then the Inquisition became too powerful for its own good and started a massive war on everyone, oh and elven gods came back so you're fucked now". Rebel Galaxy Kind of a surprise out the blue this one and been quite fun. I'm at the stage of the game where I've got the "Blackgate", a dreadnought class ship with like 14 turret points, 16 broadside cannons, and the turning circle of a moon. It's the most expensive ship in the game, though most of the price is in buying turrets to mount to it which is the point I'll call the game super finished (I've wrapped up the storyline, it's relatively simple and if it wasn't for needing to upgrade ships to progress you'd probably be able to do it in 30 minutes. Shame that at the end it takes away some of your upgrades. Not that you massively need them)
  3. Since it's the season I've finally gotten around to watching Nightmare Before Christmas. Was okay I guess, nothing super dooper brilliant.
  4. You spent £12 to get free shipping?
  5. Oh yeah, you'll need to get /all/ the shards to unlock all the doors, which leads to a final door with electric resistance stuff in it. Of the collectibles though it's by far the most practical (if only a shame it only affects you).
  6. http://imgur.com/a/cuuFG Fallout 4 out in Spanish-speaking place for PS4. So here's an album of some early game screenshots. For most part it's similar to what already seen in trailers, not really any spoilers as much (for one it's in spanish anyway).
  7. Sort of actiony RPG. Was a Japanese RPG, but not like FF vein.
  8. Started reading Fables, either through one of your lots recommendations or housemates (I think the latter). Pretty neat. One aspect I like is they reckon popularity of character among the "mundys" (mundanes aka us) increases the "immortality" of the real life counterpart. For example one character gets shot in the head but her being super popular with us means she heals up (takes a while, not Wolverine style), while lesser known die from being shot/stabbed etc. Reason I like this theory is it's how gods work in Discworld (with some, much like the Fables, appearing in multiple religions to increase their power from belief). I imagine that Once Upon A Time is strongly influenced by Fables since they share a lot in common (though Prince Charming is much less of a womanizer in OUAT). Oh talking of Wolverine, I also wrapped up Old Man Logan. I guess I can see why folks would want this Logan on film as the final Huged Jacked Man film. Also got Dead Pool Kills wrapped up too.
  9. This popped up on my recommended watch list. Good debate on some of the positive changes. It's something I've been thinking of of late. I've never seen the theatre version and watching the video posted above it's made it easier to see all the little changes. I had the '97 VHS as my first viewing. A lot of changes get a lot of hate, and I think just down to the "people hate change" but there's a fair chunk of them that make a crap ton of sense from both a directorial and an in-universe sense.
  10. http://www.mirrorsedge.com/news/update-on-mirrors-edge-catalyst Mirror's Edge is moved back a few months. I've a feeling it might be due the fact there's like 3 games out on the same day iirc.
  11. It was kinda short, and I'm glad I didn't "pay" for it (in that it was in PS+), but I'd say wasn't disappointed. But hard to be disappointed with "free".
  12. http://imgur.com/a/b6VTy Concept art n stuff.
  13. Mysterious Stranger is 4th. The weird googly eyes thing is 5th. I assume 3rd is Bloody Mess. (also I've updated the above with a higher res pic)
  14. Yeah what is that? looks weird.
  15. It's not explicitly labelled as "agent quest" more a case of you'll end a quest with "Joe Bloggs is now available as an agent" or along those lines. Oh yeah I guess sidequests get power which unlocks the main quest stuff. I have kinda forgotten that as I'd built up so much (I've been doing pretty much all the quests..I think it allows you to unlock new areas iirc too). Getting camps is pretty useful largely for a quick travel point. Especially in the Wastes and the Emerald Graves cos they're both pretty damn huge.
  16. Perk chart, though unlabelled but some you can figure out due to being in previous games.
  17. So it's only covering the original trilogy, no clone war battles? That's kinda disappointing.
  18. 8 episodes. But yeah, worth a watch and won't take long.
  19. Main quests are clearly marked (and for most part you activate in the War Table with big ass massive blades stabbed in the table so you'll know, compared to the little pins on the war table). You'll want to do quests given to you by companions for loyalty stuff (you'll need to chat with then at home base every now n then which usually starts a quest or something). Some of these are carried out on the war table too. Mainly cos later in the game stuff happens as with most Bioware games of late where loyalty will happen or they'll die/leave. Shards are worthless early on but at somepoint you'll unlock the Forbidden Oasis (or whatever it's called) and there's a temple there with doors the shards open up, which inside after a short fight you'll get bonus fire/cold/spirit resistance so worth chasing if you want those boosts. The astriariaums are mainly loot, same with the mosaics and bottles. Pretty much collectibles there. Mainly quests grant you gear and levelling up. Some score you "Agents" which join Cullen/Josephine/Leliana which speeds up their quests on the war table.
  20. I'll be honest when I went to my mums last week I was amazed to see it's still on. I thought it ended years ago. Was a good show. And yeah..weird fit for Sigourney Weaver.
  21. But? I'm currently playing DA:I (it fell to wayside after GTAV and Witcher 3) with Rebel Galaxy inbetween which is a nice combo of slow plodding fantasy RPG and zippy space shooting. DA:I I've unfortunately done most of the quests apart from the main, but there's a bunch of "Operations" to go through and they take hours to process. I'd skip them but a bunch of them tie into loyalty missions and such (so far I've unlocked all but Solas and Cassandra...in fact Solas sends me to unlock these weird globes to hold back the fade or what not but there's no counter for those in the Journal like others and don't seem to have any impact at all). Oh cos it'd been so long I forgot you get a horse in this one (well mount, I'm on a drake thing) so spent a lot longer in Wastes than should have done.
  22. Pretty alright list of Sci-Fi films (including the above CoM): http://io9.com/5619137/25-classic-science-fiction-movies-that-everybody-must-watch Was chatting with housemate and generally agreeing for a preference of sci-fi where it's using the genre as a "what if" kind of story than "fantasy with lasers" as you get in Star Wars (not that there's much wrong with that but there's definitely two genres there)
