  1. Oh sorry, topics only. Fixed the announce post.
  2. Well I'd just done Watchdogs so there's a guideline I guess: http://forum.pressxordie.com/topic/1685-watch-dogs/ Also if you click on one of the tags and hey presto: http://forum.pressxordie.com/tags/forums/PS4/ edit: Oh cool, there's there's a little box added at the bottom of threads with an "Also tagged as..."
  3. I've enabled the Tag system. It got introduced a while back but there wasn't much need for it. As we see the introduction of 8th gen it's probably a good idea to turn it on. I've thrown in 7th n 8th gen systems as default tags and I'll be updating existing topics and you'll be able to add them to any topics you make in the future. You can click on them and it'll make a list of all the topics tagged with that system, *hopefully* regardless of which sub-forum it is posted in. edit: I should note it's mainly meant for the Multi-Platform, Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo sub-forums. Don't really need to tag everything in PC Games subforum as being PC

    Banished

http://www.shiningrocksoftware.com/?page_id=680 So this is a game that has been on my radar for a while and is looking closer and closer as the months pass. Reminds me a bit of a slightly more modern Caesar III, which I rather enjoyed when I was younger. Nice, small scale building of towns and communities. It seems like it might have an issue with intuitive UI mind, but as long as the core game is solid I'm sure I could work around it.
  5. Bought one of these cos the one I have is now fucked. And all the OEM-like batteries are all fakes that have shit reviews on lasting crap (Whereas Anker brands have a ton of reviews on actually lasting longer, which is nice) and Samsung doesn't seem to actually sell Note batteries anymore. So yeah. This'll be fun cos I've never had to buy a second phone battery (my now 3 year old Wildfire still lasts well enough), certainly never non-OEM replacement parts at that. Only needs to last about half a year anyway, anymore is golden.
  6. First Xbox One advert. Slightly different game than expected.
  7. It came with JellyBean for the Note, which is what were were talking about. The Note, GT-N7000, launched with Gingerbread, then updated to ICS (which is what mine updated to as soon as I got it). The Jellybean update took a while to come, with the launch of the Note 2. And that's what brought with it the Multi-Window feature: The Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 10.1 also feature it.
  8. @TN: See I'd say it's on two extremes there. Gear would be far too small to read emails and other messages from. And certainly far too silly to take calls on. Though I think smart watch market in a "cram smartphone in watch" capacity is a silly and forced market. It's best suited for fitness features and maybe alarms n that's about it. @mal: I need to double check but last I saw the Gear was most expensive, with Pebble cheapest then Sony in the middle. Gear is already on the high end as is. @FDS: Pretty sure, unless something has changed in AOSP with launch of Nexus 7 2013 it's a TouchWiz exclusive feature on JB device...
  9. @Mal: Wait, with the price were you asking about the phone or the watch? It's a watch, so I doubt you can get it on contract. And the Note 3 itself is likely in the £450+ range And if you're wanting a smart watch there's others on the market. Sony have one that's semi-universal and fair bit cheaper. @Thirsday: I assume it's still in the Note 2 and Note 3, would be weird to remove it, but it asks you on start-up if you're left or right handed, and many of the built in stuff Samsung have tweaked, like dialing pad, calculator etc, can change the handedness on the fly. You tap the arrow and it scoots to the left. As for holding out due to size...Galaxy range goes from measly 3.5" through to 5.7" with plenty of increments in-between. The main reason you get the Note is for the size, so if the size is an issue there's other phones.
  10. Yeah, he looks substantially less dead too. Dunno if it's just the old effects but old Murphy came across much more "I'm essentially a near-dead guy, powering a robot suit", new guy is near Iron Man-like. Also it does seem they're trying to go for an allegory with drone strikes/US war in middle east. At least the trailer gives this impression. It'll be a good watch no doubt, but I think it's going for a different angle. Certainly can't go with "detroit is fucked" cos documentaries are out of style.
  11. The Sidebar? As in multiple windows? That's a feature that came with Jellybean, so one I've not really used. I've got a Note article for my personal blog waiting in the wings since a few folks have asked me about it. Could do one. As for the Gear, it's like £190, so certainly more than $100. And it works with most Samsung phones, hence my confusion of them artificially associating it with the Note III. If the size of the Note bothered people, it wouldn't be the third Note, and on top of that folks with S3 n S4, the more common Galaxy phones, might not be aware it's built for thier phones.
  12. You have 15 seconds to comply. Also just an explosion? The original RoboCop was so graphic in "killing" of Murphy MGM have blocked all videos of it...
  13. I assume we're responding to the second bit about it being promoted alongside Gear: Gear is a secondary product, quite it's own thing, in it's own market, and not tied to the Note in anyway except for the Note 3 microsite for some reason. And if people had issue with the size of the Note, it wouldn't be up to Note III.
  14. Thatgamecompany were a second party developer for Sony though. They were funded by Sony, they worked in Sony's offices, the games they made are published by Sony, and exclusive to Sony consoles. To say they were a third party developer, such as the likes of DICE or Rockstar, or many other examples, is severely pushing the term "third party".
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylP4DDwXZb8 Hey, it's my new phone to be. S-Note looks to be a lot better than it is in the first gen Note. Was always kinda bummed they got rid of S Memo with Jellybean, S Note was too clunky. But with that kind of grunt behind it should be a lot smoother. No idea why they seem to be creating this artificial relationship with "Gear" though: http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxynote3+gear/
  16. Seems it's going for sort of "isolation thriller" type, not sure how well it'd work. But I guess the closest we'll get to this film:
  17. If Sony owned them, they'd be first party. Like Naughty Dog, Geurrilla, Polyphony etc. And no shit company ownerships aren't forever and ever. Bungie made Microsoft's best selling franchise, didn't mean they were tied to them for life. And also doesn't mean they weren't ever a first party studio just because years later they went independent. Does the platform holder own the studio making the game? First Party Does the platform holder not own the studio making the game, but has commissioned the game/owns the rights? Second party Has the platform holder got fuck all to do with the making of the game apart from licensing it for their platform? Third party.
  18. The soon to be TV Show already has a thread as a heads up for anyone that might stumble in here. But yeah, feel free to post Avengery stuff.
  19. The Last of Us is first party, Sony own Naughty Dog and have done since early PS2 days. And yeah, second party is a perfectly legitimate term. Could call it "commissioned" I guess, but there's a first party, and a third party, so it stands to reason there can be a second party.
  20. http://www.nintendo-insider.com/2013/09/04/bulbasaur-charmander-and-squirtle-join-starter-line-up-in-pokemon-x-and-y/ New starters got announced today. They're pretty lame like all new things pokemon, the original pokemon were the best.
