  2. Is it possible to download a game on one PC and copy the files over like on Steam? So that next to no download needs ti happen? My mum is on mobile broadband.
  3. Was re-reminded this exists. Worth watching their other videos.
  4. Witcher 3 is developed in Poland, a market Xbox One is not launching in (and I'm not sure if it was changed but it's not supported either). Same with Battlefield 3, DICE being a Swedish studio. The guys who make games for Xbox One, games MS brought up on stage to show off for their console, won't actually be able to play them as consumers. It's bloody retarded. I imagine there's many Japanese studios in the same position too.
  5. And the excuse for Europe, with no homegrown console for our "racism"?
  6. Yeah I think MS launch strategy at the moment seems to be abandon all markets they've not already got a strong presence in (they'd already announced no Japanese launch). Which might imply they've not got the funds to try and push into extra markets, or production output. Or both I guess.
  7. I like cases with the top facing USB ports, the case is kinda horrible on front with the whole plate armour look going on.
  8. The double dipping would be what I think they're hoping for, and as I said it seems from sentiment around the web that it's something that works for them. I'm not sure GTA is a series that has much immediate used game market, what with it being quite a large open world game. Not something you'd chew through in a day or so.
  9. Maybe if I put "Especially in the GTA series"? I don't know. It seems perfectly fine and obvious to me both with what was written and especially with context clues both immediate and on a larger scale. But if two folks read it as my suggestion RDR is a GTA title then probably something written weird. @GOH*: I imagine in the initial bump of console sales is needed over potential initial and long tail PC sales. Especially if you'll note many folks around the web saying they'd grab the console version should PC version not be announced come launch (even if they know it's coming). It would be nice if they'd give a reason, they've been doing this launch tactic long enough by now. The long tail sales and success of PC GTAs must be worth at least something to be given the courtesy of a reasoning. *random aside - Next forum version you'll be able to @Mention people.
  10. http://www.theguardian.com/technology/gamesblog/2013/aug/14/half-life-3-game-exist-valve Good post from Guardian about the ongoing speculation and fandom of Half Life 3.
  11. Isn't it just the PS4 with a streaming service. And with that I'm pretty sure they've already acknowledged it won't be around for launch.
  12. $10?! I'd always assumed it was a cheapy cheap game. My housemate got it on PS+ and yeah it has nice narration and such, but not much in the way of puzzles and I wouldn't say what I saw was worth a $10 price point (except maybe for paying Danny Wallace for the VO).
  13. Or the implication that GTA is a R* franchise that's especially on PC. If maybe I'd used a , instead of a . they might have been intended to be read as a single sentence, but I didn't write them as a single sentence. I can split my stuff into paragraphs if you want easier reading? Come on, as Cowboy even noted I'd already had a dig at him previously for lazily throwing RDR news in the GTA thread, what would make any of you think I think RDR is part of the GTA series after that?
  14. Mine plugs into a USB wall charger. But likely from it being second hand.
  15. Then I would have said "RDR is about the only GTA title they've not made for PC too.". We're talking Rockstar. You know, GTA, Red Dead, Max Payne, Manhunt, Bully, LA Noire(published, but meh). Not just GTA and Red Dead. Hence: "RDR is about the only games they've not made for PC too."
  16. Errm. I said nothing of the sort. What I did say is RDR is one of the few games they've not made on PC. Of the games they have made, GTA is especially done for PC.
  17. RDR is about the only games they've not made for PC too. Especially in GTA series. And on a scale of "didn't work out bad for them" and "work out in the major mega success that GTA is and the fact the only reason anyone still cares about GTAIV to this day", yeah being on PC helps. Even when it's tied to Rockstar Social and GFWL.
  18. Yeah the Xbox One reveal was pretty much their vision of the console, just cos they've since reversed on many of thier decisions ("done a 360 and walked away"), doesn't mean the stuff like Kinect required, always online, 24 hour check-ins, NSA back-door, blah de blah, will remain gone. They're still charging for free and subscription based stuff, still using AA batteries, and still not allowing user replaceable HDDs (despite requiring installs). The paid for MP is a bit of a kick in the balls going on from PS3 to PS Plus, but on the other hand it's got all the existing PS Plus stuff with it.
  19. See I liked that with the fat PS3 my console, PC, TV, monitor and fair few other bits n bobs all used the exact same cables. Funnily we call em kettle plugs over here but I've not seen a kettle that uses them for an age. Edit: my PSP is a 1000 model so could have changed since but it's a circle plug. Closest to the PS2 slim if anything.
  20. You can cancel Steam pre-orders too. It's just getting harder because of the new "alpha" games thing they do that pretty much counts as released.
  21. Yeah Amazon has had their sights on Steam for at least a year now, they're just being a tad slow with expanding thier global range so far at the moment. It'll be interesting to see who wins out (if either will)
  22. That's my only thinking at the moment, which'd mean the Vita version wouldn't have any extras over the PC version at the end of the day.
  23. To be fair there's only a handful of games that've hit the 50GB cap. Most of it is from having lots of FMVs and such on, so hopefully with visuals being better they might not bother with as many pre-rendered shiny 1080p (or 4K) footage. But you never know. And it'll be more of an issue with the Xbone given the HDD isn't user replaceable so you're stuck with external HDDs and who knows what limitations they'll put on it. No word on pre-caching buy my understanding is both will allow you to play as you download. (Which Last of Us was a trial run of)
  24. I've paid around about $7 (shoot me I'm a horrible person) for: And none of them will disappear (and $7 is less than $50). I'm actually curious on what the Vita version of Hotline Miami has that the PC version doesn't, I've heard the claim the Vita version beats out PC version a few times. Also just because I'm vaguely unsure on the level of seriousness that's going on here, there's this.
