Which has been noted is pretty fucking stupid because those features are built directly into the console you've just splashed $500 on.

Surely it's just a X One if it got unboxed? Also we have to wait till Gamescom to find out what they did with the on-off switch? What an exclusive!

New friend had me listening to her music on Soundcloud, reminded me of Cloud Atlas, so now I'm listening to that instead edit: For shits and giggle some 90s music:

1 second in 201 countries. Gonna sound really weird given the topic of the video, but wish he'd done something a tad more interesting with it than say the name of each country like a weird Clarkson imitation.

Can have it so the button isn't the price, nothing saying that the price needs to be on the button, nor that removing the price from the button would mean you'd have to be charged each time you installed it. e.g this Instead of current Could also maybe have it so Play doesn't just say "launch" or whatever on an app you Bought" through Amazon App store.

hahha. "Printers are the devil" were my words when asked to look at printer issues at my volunteer spot. As far as MJs printer woes, if you paid 2.7 billion dollars for your printer, I'm pretty sure it would've worked. Most printer issues can be put down to home printers being cheap.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-23529841 So it's good that it's got the texture of meat, that was considered something that'd be hard to do given it wouldn't be exercised. Seems the main issue is the lack of fat in it, so lack of juiciness and the taste that comes from fat. No blood either.

From the New Statesman, via "let's fix fix video game blogs" Penny Arcade post about TV show Doctor Who. Let's just do a very minor adjustment Hmm. I wonder if folks realise how rude they're now being too. Smith's departure was announced in June, that's a good month+ of speculation and positing on why and which black female actors should play the Doctor. It's now been announced as veteran actor Peter Capaldi, who will be more than suitable for the role, yet despite this choice being made, a choice that'll be around for the next few years at least, people are going to chose now to bitch that Peter Capaldi isn't a black woman? The accusations of a show being ran by crusty white men (most producers are young and there's generally been a pretty equal split on women and men at the top) who are only going to pick white dudes is pretty fucking stupid too when these crusty white men have seen fit to have a wide variety of companions cast, representing the human race on these voyages. "Oh yes, the time travelling alien should represent the diversity of 21st century western society, and not the 21st century companions he picks up".

http://12thdoctorbutthurt.tumblr.com/ - Hmm. I shall make a note that many are upset he's a white male (and old), but not one of them has complained it's another brit. Told ya.

SMT: Nocturne, what I played, and kind of SMT IIII, isn't set in 1920s but roughly early 2000s. They've got mobile phones and such. Oh it's also kinda hard, hence my never finishing it. Though I can't remember what aspect I found overly hard (that eventually stopped me, cos Matador was a fucking hard boss)

I'm somewhat disappointed it's an established actor, but Capaldi will be good and it'll be nice to jump the age up.

You wouldn't know a half a century old running gag if it slapped you in the face would you? I've already mentioned many times that it's likely to be an unknown.

The Ghostbusters and The Producers (new), not much to say about them that I likely already haven't. They're fun films, Producers less so I guess. In fact I'd say while Ghostbusters isn't a great film, it is a perfect one. No wasted scenes, well cast actors, good jokes, simple enough storyline, effects that hole up well to day. Probably why it was a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

I've played Lucifers Call "Featuring DMC's Dante!!". Not to the end mind. It kinda plays sort of part FFX part Pokemon. And all Japanese weirdness. I actually from playing that through I'd give PErson a shot since it had the "SMT" titling and...well I understand why recent Persona games dropped the SMT stuff cos beyond art style there's not much alike between them. You know, I've got a twitch account, and I swear like at least three programs/clients on my PC with Twitch support now, and the PS2 emulator. Could give a bit of a stream of it I guess. Would give me a game to play today. edit: I had a half hour stream just now. Though it's only story/exposition for most of that, no combat or much. Need to have a bit of a break but might stream some more later. http://www.twitch.tv/deanbmmv/b/440703586

I guess I'm now arguing that you don't pay too much attention in Doctor Who The episode of Buzzcocks you posted the gif from Tennant even makes the joke himself about "I've been to many planes in the solar system and you'd be amazed how many of them look like quarries in wales". Obviously they do on-location shot for many of the episodes but it's quite the running joke much of it is done in welsh quarries. (Also I double checked the actual episodes of new who, and none of them have any production credits, creative credits, anything at all related to CBC, just the regular BBC and BBC Wales branding. You sure CBC don't just stick themselves on over that in Canada?) Everyone you listed is a British actor, and Daniel "Harry Potter" Radcliffe would probably be one of the worst of the bunch. In fact Rupert "Ron Weasley" Grint, Richard "Moss" Ayoade, Idris "Luther" Elba, and Ben "Q" Whishaw would all be a bit of a bad choice. Someone who is a bit of an unknown or someone with history of just minor roles, or dropped off the map for an age, no preconceptions of the character/actor. Anywho, 360 TARDIS http://360.io/S9FUjU

James Nesbitt, another of the Moffat lot to end up in The Hobbit. And no it's not a British Dexter (in so far of what I know of Dexter being about a good guy serial killer). It's literally a modern Jekyll & Hyde in the same vein as Sherlock has Sherlock all texting n Watson with a blog and such. It's 5-6 episodes long so easy enough to devour in a single day. In fact you could grab it now and finish watching by tonight. edit: Huh, the EA Euro HQ was used as the bad guys base. I won't think too much on that one... "Mr Location Director we need a place that look like an evil yet organised company works here". "I know just the building!"

Which was done in a quarry in Wales. Everything in Doctor Who is filmed there. They don't actually go to the fifth moon of Gabong to film episodes, it's done on a film set. In a quarry, in Wales. On a slightly more serious note US has counted for like.. 4 episodes in Moffats Who (the impossible astronaut, Mercy n city of angels). Davies Who had 3; Dalek, n Daleks in Manhattan two parter. One extra NA based episodes isn't much to be saying it's becoming less British. Especially when all of the Clara Earth episode have been in UK, not even surprise Germany or Egypt.

Going "The next doctor should be Idris Elba" is quite a bit different to "the next doctor should be black". The doctor being black/female for the sake of it brings nothing to the role compared to "world weary" "geek cool" etc. The article on the wikia also repeats as such as posted in the BBC worldwide press release I linked in previous post that CBC paid upfront on broadcast rights to Doctor Who. Which as also mentioned in prior post BBC WW is a piss in the ocean that is BBC revenue. I highly doubt had CBC chosen to not purchase broadcast rights for DW that it would not have gone ahead. This wasn't some risque BBC3 comedy show but a decades old established show that'd been in the works for a revival quite some time. Not sure how an American/Canadian/Australian could be without an accent. Nor do I understand how making the lead of a quintessentially british show non-british would broaden appeal let alone hope to retain it. If America wanted their own Doctor Who I'm sure they could always ask the guys who did US Top Gear to set them up with something. And I'm not sure how driving up The Shard on a motorbike in Moffats era is any less British than the London Eye antenna of Davies time. End of the day it's all done in a quarry in Wales.

The UK TV License Fee that funds the BBC that funds Doctor Who. As best I can find at most CBC put forward an advance pre-order on airing the 2005 series, through BBC Worldwide, which is about as much financial support as any country would supply through broadcast rights, DVD sales etc. (BBC Worldwide is the commercial arm of BBC, and more of a sister company/necessary evil and not the BBC). In 04-05 BBC Worldwide accounted for £55million to the License Fees £2.9billion. I've a feeling the BBC of 2004-05 could cover the cost of making Doctor Who without needing to dip into the exhaustive revenue of BBC Worldwide. As far as your edit on your prior post, reverse discrimination, having a minority for the sake of having the minority, would be the part that's racist. The actor chosen for the role of The Doctor should be for their fit with the role, not due to the colour of their skin.

Canadians started paying the UK TV License Fee? Black/Female Doctor would be silly for the whole point that it'd be done is because they're a black/woman doctor. It's Doctor Who, not a government leaflet stock photo. Could make him gay while we're at it. Anywho; "Hey look I've got ethyric beam locators too", "Ooh, the sonic screwdriver has three settings *bzzt*".
-
Yeah older would be nice. Another thing in our discussion, obviously came to the woman/black stuff (seems we're all in agreement it'd be a bad/silly idea) and led to it being popular in America these days and I pointed out how there's been the speculation of it being a woman or black, but no one has even suggested the next doctor could be...American!

See, I'd hope for an unknown, but as we've being discussing today the fact Beeb are having a big live event to show off the new actor would imply they're a bit bigger than unknown. No point having a show and you're all like "who?"
